In this study, a loos...Generally, most soil slope failures are induced by rainfall infiltration, a process that involves interactions between the liquid phase, gas phase,and solid skeleton in an unsaturated soil slope. In this study, a loosely coupled liquid-gas-solid three-phase model, linking two numerical codes,TOUGH2/EOS3, which is used for water-air two-phase flow analysis, and FLAC^(3D), which is used for mechanical analysis, was established. The model was validated through a documented water drainage experiment over a sandy column and a comparison of the results with measured data and simulated results from other researchers. The proposed model was used to investigate the features of water-air two-phase flow and stress fields in an unsaturated soil slope during rainfall infiltration. The slope stability analysis was then performed based on the simulated water-air two-phase seepage and stress fields on a given slip surface. The results show that the safety factor for the given slip surface decreases first, then increases, and later decreases until the rainfall stops. Subsequently, a sudden rise occurs. After that, the safety factor decreases continually and reaches its lowest value, and then increases slowly to a steady value. The lowest value does not occur when the rainfall stops, indicating a delayed effect of the safety factor. The variations of the safety factor for the given slip surface are therefore caused by a combination of pore-air pressure, matric suction, normal stress, and net normal stress.展开更多

The Ag-deposited n-typ...In this paper, two types of silicon(Si) particles ball-milled from n-type Si wafers, respectively, with resistivity values of 1 Ω·cm and 0.001 Ω·cm are deposited with silver(Ag). The Ag-deposited n-type 1-Ω·cm Si particles(nl-Ag) and Ag-deposited n-type 0.001-Ω·cm Si particles(n0.001-Ag) are separately used as an anode material to assemble coin cells,of which the electrochemical performances are investigated. For the matching of work function between n-type 1-Ω·cm Si(nl) and Ag, nl-Ag shows discharge specific capacity of up to 683 mAh·g^-1 at a current density of 8.4 A·g^-1, which is40% higher than that of n0.001-Ag. Furthermore, the resistivity of nl-Ag is lower than half that of n0.001-Ag. Due to the mismatch of work function between n-type 0.001-Ω·cm Si(n0.001) and Ag, the discharge specific capacity of n0.001-Ag is 250.2 mAh·g^-1 lower than that of nl-Ag after 100 cycles.展开更多
In this study, we investigated the effect of an antibody against E3 ubiquitin ligase seven in absentia homolog 1(SIAH-1) in PC12 cells. 1-Methyl-4-phenylpyridinium(MPP+) treatment increased α-synuclein, E1 and S...In this study, we investigated the effect of an antibody against E3 ubiquitin ligase seven in absentia homolog 1(SIAH-1) in PC12 cells. 1-Methyl-4-phenylpyridinium(MPP+) treatment increased α-synuclein, E1 and SIAH-1 protein levels in PC12 cells, and it reduced cell viability; however, there was no significant change in light chain 3 expression. Treatment with an SIAH-1 antibody decreased m RNA expression levels of α-synuclein, light chain 3 and SIAH-1, but increased E1 m RNA expression. It also increased cell viability. Combined treatment with MPP+ and rapamycin reduced SIAH-1 and α-synuclein levels. Treatment with SIAH-1 antibody alone diminished α-synuclein immunoreactivity in PC12 cells, and reduced the colocalization of α-synuclein and light chain 3. These findings suggest that the SIAH-1 antibody reduces the monoubiquitination and aggregation of α-synuclein, promoting its degradation by the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway. Consequently, SIAH-1 may be a potential new therapeutic target for Parkinson’s disease.展开更多

Metallographic analysis shows that the amorphous powders are evenly distributed be...Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 (or FeCuNbSiB) powder/ S-glass fiber-reinforced epoxy composite panels were pre- pared by mold pressing method. Metallographic analysis shows that the amorphous powders are evenly distributed between the layers of S-glass fibers. The effects of the Fe- CuNbSiB powder mass fraction on the complex permittivity, complex permeability, and microwave absorption of the composite panels have been studied in the frequency range of 2.6-18.0 GHz. The complex permittivity of the composite panels with different mass fractions of the FeCuNbSiB powders shows several peaks in the 2.6-18.0 GHz fre- quency range. The complex permeability of the composites decreases with the increasing frequency in the frequency range of 8-18 GHz. The composite with FeCuNbSiB/epoxy mass ratio of 2.5:1.0 has excellent microwave absorption properties of a minimum reflection loss value -30.5 dB at 10.93 GHz for a thickness of 2 mm. A reflection loss exceeding -10 dB can be obtained in a broad frequency range of 3.2-18.0 GHz with a thickness of 1.15-5.00 mm. For the FeCuNbSiB composites, the magnetic loss is the dominant term for microwave absorption. The FeCuNbSiB powders are a possible candidate for high-performance microwave absorption filler.展开更多
BACKGROUND:To investigate the eff ects of early standardized enteral nutrition(EN)on the crosssectional area of erector spine muscle(ESMcsa),plasma growth diff erentiation factor-15(GDF-15),and 28-day mortality of acu...BACKGROUND:To investigate the eff ects of early standardized enteral nutrition(EN)on the crosssectional area of erector spine muscle(ESMcsa),plasma growth diff erentiation factor-15(GDF-15),and 28-day mortality of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD)patients with invasive mechanical ventilation(MV).METHODS:A total of 97 AECOPD patients with invasive MV were screened in the ICUs of the First People's Hospital of Lianyungang.The conventional EN group(stage Ⅰ)and early standardized EN group(stage Ⅱ)included 46 and 51 patients,respectively.ESMcsa loss and GDF-15 levels on days 1 and 7 of ICU admission and 28-day survival rates were analyzed.RESULTS:On day 7,the ESMcsa of the early standardized EN group was significantly higher than that of the conventional EN group,while the plasma GDF-15 levels were significantly lower than those in the conventional EN group(ESMcsa:28.426±6.130 cm^(2) vs.25.205±6.127 cm^(2);GDF-15:1661.608±558.820 pg/mL vs.2541.000±634.845 pg/mL;all P<0.001).The 28-day survival rates of the patients in the early standardized EN group and conventional EN group were 80.40%and 73.90%,respectively(P=0.406).CONCLUSION:ESMcsa loss in AECOPD patients with MV was correlated with GDF-15 levels,both of which indicated acute muscular atrophy and skeletal muscle dysfunction.Early standardized EN may prevent acute muscle loss and intensive care unit-acquired weakness(ICU-AW)in AECOPD patients.展开更多

Composite films of different contents were prepared by Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 powder as compound phase and silicone rubber as matrix phase. The thickness of film is 200 μm. Values of impedance, Z, under pressure stress...Composite films of different contents were prepared by Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 powder as compound phase and silicone rubber as matrix phase. The thickness of film is 200 μm. Values of impedance, Z, under pressure stress were measured by TH2816LCR digital bridge. LYYL-500N high-grade-type microcomputer control pressure testing machine was used to conduct program control loading with a speed of 0.1 mm·min^-1. The results show that composite films of different contents (25 vol%, 30 vol%, and 35 vol%) have excellent force-sensitive properties in both loading process and unloading process, especially when the stress is below 0.2 MPa, the stress- impedance (SI) and +|k| values of composite films are much higher than that in the range of 0.2-1.0 MPa. The force- sensitive properties of loading process are superior to unloading process. While the frequency is 1 kHz, the force-sensitive properties of composite films are better than 50 kHz. The optimal temperature of powder heat treatment is 500 ℃. Composite film which was prepared by this kind of powder has a good force-sensitive property.展开更多
Aluminum killed low-carbon steel sheets were cold rolled at different reduction ratios and annealed using different temperatures and holding time.The Vickers hardness was examined.The results show that when cold rolli...Aluminum killed low-carbon steel sheets were cold rolled at different reduction ratios and annealed using different temperatures and holding time.The Vickers hardness was examined.The results show that when cold rolling reduction ratios increase from 40% to 81%,recrystallization temperatures decrease from 602℃ to 572℃ during 4hisochronal annealing,as well recrystallization holding time decreases from 117 min to 5min during isothermal annealing at 610℃.All recrystallization temperatures and holding time can be calculated using the annealing experiment results.Microstructure was examined through electron backscattered diffraction(EBSD).The results show that as rolling direction preferentially grows,equiaxed grains grow into cake-type during recrystallization.Cake-type grains are more beneficial to obtaining ideal〈111〉//ND(normal direcrtion)orientation texture.{111}orientation grains nucleate and grow up preferentially.Deformation grains of{111}〈110〉orientations grow into new recrystallization grains of{111}〈123〉and{111}〈112〉during recrystallization.Texture formation can be explained by directional nucleation.展开更多
Construction of proton transport channels in metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)with simple synthesis processes,high proton conductivities and good performance stabilities has been of great interest for proton exchange mem...Construction of proton transport channels in metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)with simple synthesis processes,high proton conductivities and good performance stabilities has been of great interest for proton exchange membrane fuel cell(PEMFC).Herein,we mimic the proton transport behavior of amino acid residues in bacteriorhodopsin,select UiO-66-COOH as the host,glycine and aspartic acid as the functional guest molecules,and then functionalize the MOF framework with amino acids to obtain biomimetic proton transport channels.This strategy endows UiO-66-COOH-Asp a high proton conductivity of 1.19×10^(-2)S/cm at 70℃and 98%RH,excellent cycle stability of performances and performance durability,which can be comparable to the reported MOFs-based proton conductors.Moreover,the proton conduction mechanism in UiO-66-COOH-Asp is elaborated in detail due to its visual structure,which is also one of the advantages of adopting MOFs as research platform,making it possible to optimize the structure-activity relationship of advanced materials.Notably,this strategy has clear objectives and simple synthesis,which has made certain contributions to both theoretical research and future industrial production of proton conductors.展开更多
The indigenous starter cultures isolated from fermented food can compete with spoilage and pathogenic bacteria and improve the flavor and organoleptic properties of products.The purposes of this work were to screen an...The indigenous starter cultures isolated from fermented food can compete with spoilage and pathogenic bacteria and improve the flavor and organoleptic properties of products.The purposes of this work were to screen and assess the safety,potential probiotic,and fermentation properties of indigenous starter cultures isolated from dry-cured ducks.The properties of indigenous starter cultures were investigated by antibiotic resistance,virulence genes,in vivo toxicity,simulated gastrointestinal,adhesion capacity to Caco-2 cells,inoculation fermentation,etc.Overall,six strains were isolated and identified,including Lactobacillus sakei D15,Weissella hellenica D20,Lactobacillus curvatus D2,Staphylococcus simulans D12,Staphylococcus equorum D19,and Staphylococcus edaphicus D17.The obtained strains showed high safety.Additionally,most strains displayed excellent probiotic properties,including tolerance to lower pH,lysozyme,bile salt,and a high survival rate of the simulated gastrointestinal phase.The adhesion ability of strain cells to Caco-2 cells was 9.22%-14.21%.And the probiotic properties of strains can be strengthened by the expression of specific enzymes.The inoculation with the isolated strains(LS-D15,LC-D2 and SS-D12)could contribute to the formation of volatile flavor compounds in samples.Overall,results demonstrated that strains possessed excellent safety and probiotic properties,and can be used as starter cultures to enhance the quality and flavor of the dry-cured duck.展开更多

Our results showed that Mn removal percentages were 12.7%, 71.0%, 17.4% and 58.7% when none of the oxidants, KMnO4 only, Cl2 only, or both oxidants were added, respectively. Furthermore, a field study showed that when the available Mn concentration in the source water was 0.14 mg/L, it could be reduced to less than 0.05 mg/L when a solution of KMnO4 (0.47 mg/L) was added as the oxidant.展开更多

The results show that composite films of different contents (25 vol%, 30 vol%, and 35 vol%) have excellent force-sensitive properties in both loading process and unloading process, especially when the stress is below 0.2 MPa, the stress- impedance (SI) and +|k| values of composite films are much higher than that in the range of 0.2-1.0 MPa. The force- sensitive properties of loading process are superior to unloading process. While the frequency is 1 kHz, the force-sensitive properties of composite films are better than 50 kHz. The optimal temperature of powder heat treatment is 500 ℃. Composite film which was prepared by this kind of powder has a good force-sensitive property.

文摘Aluminum killed low-carbon steel sheets were cold rolled at different reduction ratios and annealed using different temperatures and holding time.The Vickers hardness was examined.The results show that when cold rolling reduction ratios increase from 40% to 81%,recrystallization temperatures decrease from 602℃ to 572℃ during 4hisochronal annealing,as well recrystallization holding time decreases from 117 min to 5min during isothermal annealing at 610℃.All recrystallization temperatures and holding time can be calculated using the annealing experiment results.Microstructure was examined through electron backscattered diffraction(EBSD).The results show that as rolling direction preferentially grows,equiaxed grains grow into cake-type during recrystallization.Cake-type grains are more beneficial to obtaining ideal〈111〉//ND(normal direcrtion)orientation texture.{111}orientation grains nucleate and grow up preferentially.Deformation grains of{111}〈110〉orientations grow into new recrystallization grains of{111}〈123〉and{111}〈112〉during recrystallization.Texture formation can be explained by directional nucleation.

文摘Construction of proton transport channels in metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)with simple synthesis processes,high proton conductivities and good performance stabilities has been of great interest for proton exchange membrane fuel cell(PEMFC).Herein,we mimic the proton transport behavior of amino acid residues in bacteriorhodopsin,select UiO-66-COOH as the host,glycine and aspartic acid as the functional guest molecules,and then functionalize the MOF framework with amino acids to obtain biomimetic proton transport channels.This strategy endows UiO-66-COOH-Asp a high proton conductivity of 1.19×10^(-2)S/cm at 70℃and 98%RH,excellent cycle stability of performances and performance durability,which can be comparable to the reported MOFs-based proton conductors.Moreover,the proton conduction mechanism in UiO-66-COOH-Asp is elaborated in detail due to its visual structure,which is also one of the advantages of adopting MOFs as research platform,making it possible to optimize the structure-activity relationship of advanced materials.Notably,this strategy has clear objectives and simple synthesis,which has made certain contributions to both theoretical research and future industrial production of proton conductors.

文摘The indigenous starter cultures isolated from fermented food can compete with spoilage and pathogenic bacteria and improve the flavor and organoleptic properties of products.The purposes of this work were to screen and assess the safety,potential probiotic,and fermentation properties of indigenous starter cultures isolated from dry-cured ducks.The properties of indigenous starter cultures were investigated by antibiotic resistance,virulence genes,in vivo toxicity,simulated gastrointestinal,adhesion capacity to Caco-2 cells,inoculation fermentation,etc.Overall,six strains were isolated and identified,including Lactobacillus sakei D15,Weissella hellenica D20,Lactobacillus curvatus D2,Staphylococcus simulans D12,Staphylococcus equorum D19,and Staphylococcus edaphicus D17.The obtained strains showed high safety.Additionally,most strains displayed excellent probiotic properties,including tolerance to lower pH,lysozyme,bile salt,and a high survival rate of the simulated gastrointestinal phase.The adhesion ability of strain cells to Caco-2 cells was 9.22%-14.21%.And the probiotic properties of strains can be strengthened by the expression of specific enzymes.The inoculation with the isolated strains(LS-D15,LC-D2 and SS-D12)could contribute to the formation of volatile flavor compounds in samples.Overall,results demonstrated that strains possessed excellent safety and probiotic properties,and can be used as starter cultures to enhance the quality and flavor of the dry-cured duck.
文摘We evaluated several different pre-oxidation treatments, namely the introduction of either potassium permanganate (KMnO4), chlorine (Cl2), or both to remove manganese (Mn) from the Qiantang River source water. Our results showed that Mn removal percentages were 12.7%, 71.0%, 17.4% and 58.7% when none of the oxidants, KMnO4 only, Cl2 only, or both oxidants were added, respectively. Furthermore, a field study showed that when the available Mn concentration in the source water was 0.14 mg/L, it could be reduced to less than 0.05 mg/L when a solution of KMnO4 (0.47 mg/L) was added as the oxidant.
