Although numerous animal researches have shown that the neuroprotective effect of remote ischemic conditioning may be related to neuroinflammation, cellular immunity, apoptosis, and autophagy, the exact underlying molecular mechanisms are unclear. This review summarizes the current status of different types of remote ischemic conditioning methods in animal and clinical studies and analyzes their commonalities and differences in neuroprotective mechanisms and signaling pathways. Remote ischemic conditioning has emerged as a potential therapeutic approach for improving stroke-induced brain injury owing to its simplicity, non-invasiveness, safety, and patient tolerability. Different forms of remote ischemic conditioning exhibit distinct intervention patterns, timing, and application range. Mechanistically, remote ischemic conditioning can exert neuroprotective effects by activating the Notch1/phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/Akt signaling pathway, improving cerebral perfusion, suppressing neuroinflammation, inhibiting cell apoptosis, activating autophagy, and promoting neural regeneration. While remote ischemic conditioning has shown potential in improving stroke outcomes, its full clinical translation has not yet been achieved.展开更多
In this paper,the mission and the thermal environment of the Solar Close Observations and Proximity Experiments(SCOPE)spacecraft are analyzed,and an advanced thermal management system(ATMS)is designed for it.The relat...In this paper,the mission and the thermal environment of the Solar Close Observations and Proximity Experiments(SCOPE)spacecraft are analyzed,and an advanced thermal management system(ATMS)is designed for it.The relationship and functions of the integrated database,the intelligent thermal control system and the efficient liquid cooling system in the ATMS are elaborated upon.For the complex thermal field regulation system and extreme space thermal environment,a modular simulation and thermal field planning method are proposed,and the feasibility of the planning algorithm is verified by numerical simulation.A solar array liquid cooling system is developed,and the system simulation results indicate that the temperatures of the solar arrays meet the requirements as the spacecraft flies by perihelion and aphelion.The advanced thermal management study supports the development of the SCOPE program and provides a reference for the thermal management in other deep-space exploration programs.展开更多

Surface modifications can introduce natural gradients or structural hierarchy into human-made microlattices,making them simultaneously strong and tough.Herein,we describe our investigations of the mechanical propertie...Surface modifications can introduce natural gradients or structural hierarchy into human-made microlattices,making them simultaneously strong and tough.Herein,we describe our investigations of the mechanical properties and the underlying mechanisms of additively manufactured nickel–chromium superalloy(IN625)microlattices after surface mechanical attrition treatment(SMAT).Our results demonstrated that SMAT increased the yielding strength of these microlattices by more than 64.71%and also triggered a transition in their mechanical behaviour.Two primary failure modes were distinguished:weak global deformation,and layer-by-layer collapse,with the latter enhanced by SMAT.The significantly improved mechanical performance was attributable to the ultrafine and hard graded-nanograin layer induced by SMAT,which effectively leveraged the material and structural effects.These results were further validated by finite element analysis.This work provides insight into collapse behaviour and should facilitate the design of ultralight yet buckling-resistant cellular materials.展开更多
Cardiovascular disease,primarily caused by atherosclerotic plaque formation,is a significant health concern.The early detection of these plaques is crucial for targeted therapies and reducing the risk of cardiovascula...Cardiovascular disease,primarily caused by atherosclerotic plaque formation,is a significant health concern.The early detection of these plaques is crucial for targeted therapies and reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases.This study presents PlaqueNet,a solution for segmenting coronary artery plaques from coronary computed tomography angiography(CCTA)images.For feature extraction,the advanced residual net module was utilized,which integrates a deepwise residual optimization module into network branches,enhances feature extraction capabilities,avoiding information loss,and addresses gradient issues during training.To improve segmentation accuracy,a depthwise atrous spatial pyramid pooling based on bicubic efficient channel attention(DASPP-BICECA)module is introduced.The BICECA component amplifies the local feature sensitivity,whereas the DASPP component expands the network’s information-gathering scope,resulting in elevated segmentation accuracy.Additionally,BINet,a module for joint network loss evaluation,is proposed.It optimizes the segmentation model without affecting the segmentation results.When combined with the DASPP-BICECA module,BINet enhances overall efficiency.The CCTA segmentation algorithm proposed in this study outperformed the other three comparative algorithms,achieving an intersection over Union of 87.37%,Dice of 93.26%,accuracy of 93.12%,mean intersection over Union of 93.68%,mean Dice of 96.63%,and mean pixel accuracy value of 96.55%.展开更多
Visible light communications(VLC) have recently attracted a growing interest and can be a potential solution to realize indoor positioning,however,the performance of existing indoor positioning system is limited by mu...Visible light communications(VLC) have recently attracted a growing interest and can be a potential solution to realize indoor positioning,however,the performance of existing indoor positioning system is limited by multipath distortion inside a room.In order to combat the effect of multipath distortion,this paper proposes an LED-based indoor positioning algorithm combined with hybrid OFDM(HOFDM),in which asymmetrically clipped optical OFDM(ACOOFDM) is transmitted on the odd subcarriers while using pulse amplitude modulated discrete multitone(PAM-DMT) to modulate the imaginary part of each even subcarrier.In this scheme,we take a combined approach where a received-signal-strength(RSS) technique is employed to determine the location of the receiver and realize the 3-D positioning by Trust-region-based positioning.Moreover,a particle filter is used to further improve the positioning accuracy.Results confirm that this proposed positioning algorithm can achieve high accuracy even with multipath distortion,and the algorithm has better performance when combined with particle filter.展开更多

In the present study, primary cortical neurons of rats were exposed to...Flavonoids from the stems and leaves of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, an antioxidant, markedly improve memory impairments and neuronal injuries. In the present study, primary cortical neurons of rats were exposed to potassium cyanide to establish a model of in vitro neural cell apoptosis. Inhibition of apoptosis by flavonoids from the stems and leaves of Scutellaria baical- ensis Georgi at concentrations of 18.98, 37.36, and 75.92 gg/mL was detected using this model. These flavonoids dramatically increased cell survival, inhibited cell apoptosis and excessive pro- duction of malondialdehyde, and increased the activities of superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase, and Na+-K*-ATPase in primary cortical neurons exposed to potassium cyanide. The flavonoids from the stems and leaves of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi were originally found to have a polyhydric structure and to protect against cerebral hypoxia in in vitro and in vivo models, including hypoxia induced by potassium cyanide or cerebral ischemia. The present study suggests that flavonoids from the stems and leaves of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi exert neuroprotective effects via modulation of oxidative stress, such as malondialdehyde, superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase and Na+-K+-ATPase disorders induced by potassium cyanide.展开更多
The Solar Upper Transition Region Imager(SUTRI)onboard the Space Advanced Technology demonstration satellite(SATech-01),which was launched to a Sun-synchronous orbit at a height of~500 km in 2022 July,aims to test the...The Solar Upper Transition Region Imager(SUTRI)onboard the Space Advanced Technology demonstration satellite(SATech-01),which was launched to a Sun-synchronous orbit at a height of~500 km in 2022 July,aims to test the on-orbit performance of our newly developed Sc/Si multi-layer reflecting mirror and the 2k×2k EUV CMOS imaging camera and to take full-disk solar images at the Ne VII 46.5 nm spectral line with a filter width of~3 nm.SUTRI employs a Ritchey-Chrétien optical system with an aperture of 18 cm.The on-orbit observations show that SUTRI images have a field of view of~416×416 and a moderate spatial resolution of~8″without an image stabilization system.The normal cadence of SUTRI images is 30 s and the solar observation time is about16 hr each day because the earth eclipse time accounts for about 1/3 of SATech-01's orbit period.Approximately15 GB data is acquired each day and made available online after processing.SUTRI images are valuable as the Ne VII 46.5 nm line is formed at a temperature regime of~0.5 MK in the solar atmosphere,which has rarely been sampled by existing solar imagers.SUTRI observations will establish connections between structures in the lower solar atmosphere and corona,and advance our understanding of various types of solar activity such as flares,filament eruptions,coronal jets and coronal mass ejections.展开更多
Rational design of electrocatalysts is important for a sustainable oxygen evolution reaction(OER).It is still a huge challenge to engineer active sites in multi-sizes and multi-components simultaneously.Here,a series ...Rational design of electrocatalysts is important for a sustainable oxygen evolution reaction(OER).It is still a huge challenge to engineer active sites in multi-sizes and multi-components simultaneously.Here,a series of CoxP nanoparticles(NPs)confined in an SiO2matrix(SiO2/CoxP)is designed and synthesized as OER electrocatalysts.The phosphorization of the hydrolyzed Co-phyllosilicate promotes the formation of ultrasmall and small Co2P and CoP.These are firmly confined in the SiO2matrix.The coupling of multi-size and multi-component CoxP catalysts can regulate reaction kinetics and electron transfer ability,enrich the active sites,and eventually promote the intrinsic OER activity.The SiO2matrix provides abundant porous structure and oxygen vacancies,and these facilitate the exposure of active sites and improve conductivity.Because of the synergy and interplay of multisized/component CoxP NPs and the porous SiO2matrix,the unique SiO2/CoxP heterostructure exhibits low overpotential(293 m V@10 mA cm-2),and robust stability(decay 12 mV after 5000 CV cycles,97.4%of initial current after 100 h chronoamperometric)for the OER process,exceeding many advanced metal phosphide electrocatalysts.This work provides a novel tactic to design low-cost,simple,and highly efficient OER electrocatalysts.展开更多
In order to enhance the bearing capacity of structural components,save materials,and reduce cost,a glued laminated timber(glulam)I-beam that is theoretically suitable for engineering application was proposed.In this s...In order to enhance the bearing capacity of structural components,save materials,and reduce cost,a glued laminated timber(glulam)I-beam that is theoretically suitable for engineering application was proposed.In this study,18 glulam specimens were fabricated using larch dimension lumber and resorcinol-formaldehyde resin.Four-point bending tests were carried out to compare the ultimate bearing capacity,strain,and deflection of various specimens.The results showed that:(1)The typical failure mode at bending is the web shear failure parallel to grain.Before the failure,cracks and sounds appear at the beam web,which represent the sudden brittle failure.(2)The cross-sectional strain of glulam beam changed linearly with the beam height,indicating that the plane section assumption was basically established.(3)Stiffener could improve the initial flexural stiffness of glulam beam,which experiences an increase of 28.21%.Larger the shear span ratio,smaller the initial flexural stiffness.The initial flexural stiffness improves by 10-23.5%with the increase in the thickness of the lower flange.(4)The effects of stiffener and shear-span ratio on shear strength are relatively significant.After the stiffeners are set at the support and the loading point in pairs,the shear strength of the glulam beam increases by 15.05%averagely.With the increase in the shear-span ratio,the shearing strength of the glulam I-beam gradually reduces.The equation of the shearing strength with the shear span ratio is obtained,which is shown by high fitting precision.(5)The shear strength correlation,as proposed by Soltis and Rammer,is suitable not only for rectangular beams,but also for glulam I-beams.展开更多
This is the first report on a polysaccharide(RCJ2-Ib)isolated from Rosa Chinensis Flos.RCJ2-Ib was obtained through the extraction with water,precipitation with ethanol,separation with DEAE-52 column and purification ...This is the first report on a polysaccharide(RCJ2-Ib)isolated from Rosa Chinensis Flos.RCJ2-Ib was obtained through the extraction with water,precipitation with ethanol,separation with DEAE-52 column and purification with DEAE-Sepharose Fast Flow column and Sephadex G100 column.GC,FT-IR and NMR analyses revealed that RCJ2-Ib(3.3 k Da)was a 1,4-linked polymannuronic acid containing substantialβ-Danomers units.The anticoagulant effect of RCJ2-Ib evaluated by using rabbit ear venous blood and an acute blood stasis rat model showed that RCJ2-Ib had obvious anticoagulant activity in regulating endogenous and exogenous coagulation pathways and reducing serum thromboxane B2 and endothelin-1.In addition,RCJ2-Ib could also increase the number of Lactobacillus and Escherichia coli.As a result,RCJ2-Ib has the potential to inhibit thrombosis and maintain the intestinal environment.展开更多
Though obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS) and metabolic syndrome(MS) are correlated;the contributing factors for the occurrence of MS in Chinese snorers remain largely undefined.We aimed to investiga...Though obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS) and metabolic syndrome(MS) are correlated;the contributing factors for the occurrence of MS in Chinese snorers remain largely undefined.We aimed to investigate the associated pathogenesis of coexistence of OSAHS and MS in Chinese snorers.A total of 144 Chinese habitual snorers were divided into 3 groups,the control group(simple snorers)(n = 36),the mild OSAHS group(n= 52)and the moderate-to-severe OSAHS group(n = 56).The incidence of MS in the moderate-to-severe OSAHS group(26.8%) was significantly higher than that in the control group(8.3%),the mild OSAHS group(11.1%) and all the OSAHS patients(19.45%)(all P 〈 0.05).Homeostatic model assessment(HOMA) index and proinsulin(PI) were negatively correlated with nocturnal meanSpO2 and miniSpO2.Meanwhile,nocturnal SpO2 were negatively correlated with body mass index,waist and neck circumferences and diastolic blood pressure,but positively correlated with total cholesterol and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol.The study indicated that in Chinese snorers,moderate-to-severe OSAHS was closely associated with MS via nocturnal hypoxemia.展开更多

文摘Cardiovascular disease,primarily caused by atherosclerotic plaque formation,is a significant health concern.The early detection of these plaques is crucial for targeted therapies and reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases.This study presents PlaqueNet,a solution for segmenting coronary artery plaques from coronary computed tomography angiography(CCTA)images.For feature extraction,the advanced residual net module was utilized,which integrates a deepwise residual optimization module into network branches,enhances feature extraction capabilities,avoiding information loss,and addresses gradient issues during training.To improve segmentation accuracy,a depthwise atrous spatial pyramid pooling based on bicubic efficient channel attention(DASPP-BICECA)module is introduced.The BICECA component amplifies the local feature sensitivity,whereas the DASPP component expands the network’s information-gathering scope,resulting in elevated segmentation accuracy.Additionally,BINet,a module for joint network loss evaluation,is proposed.It optimizes the segmentation model without affecting the segmentation results.When combined with the DASPP-BICECA module,BINet enhances overall efficiency.The CCTA segmentation algorithm proposed in this study outperformed the other three comparative algorithms,achieving an intersection over Union of 87.37%,Dice of 93.26%,accuracy of 93.12%,mean intersection over Union of 93.68%,mean Dice of 96.63%,and mean pixel accuracy value of 96.55%.

文摘Visible light communications(VLC) have recently attracted a growing interest and can be a potential solution to realize indoor positioning,however,the performance of existing indoor positioning system is limited by multipath distortion inside a room.In order to combat the effect of multipath distortion,this paper proposes an LED-based indoor positioning algorithm combined with hybrid OFDM(HOFDM),in which asymmetrically clipped optical OFDM(ACOOFDM) is transmitted on the odd subcarriers while using pulse amplitude modulated discrete multitone(PAM-DMT) to modulate the imaginary part of each even subcarrier.In this scheme,we take a combined approach where a received-signal-strength(RSS) technique is employed to determine the location of the receiver and realize the 3-D positioning by Trust-region-based positioning.Moreover,a particle filter is used to further improve the positioning accuracy.Results confirm that this proposed positioning algorithm can achieve high accuracy even with multipath distortion,and the algorithm has better performance when combined with particle filter.
文摘Flavonoids from the stems and leaves of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, an antioxidant, markedly improve memory impairments and neuronal injuries. In the present study, primary cortical neurons of rats were exposed to potassium cyanide to establish a model of in vitro neural cell apoptosis. Inhibition of apoptosis by flavonoids from the stems and leaves of Scutellaria baical- ensis Georgi at concentrations of 18.98, 37.36, and 75.92 gg/mL was detected using this model. These flavonoids dramatically increased cell survival, inhibited cell apoptosis and excessive pro- duction of malondialdehyde, and increased the activities of superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase, and Na+-K*-ATPase in primary cortical neurons exposed to potassium cyanide. The flavonoids from the stems and leaves of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi were originally found to have a polyhydric structure and to protect against cerebral hypoxia in in vitro and in vivo models, including hypoxia induced by potassium cyanide or cerebral ischemia. The present study suggests that flavonoids from the stems and leaves of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi exert neuroprotective effects via modulation of oxidative stress, such as malondialdehyde, superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase and Na+-K+-ATPase disorders induced by potassium cyanide.

文摘The Solar Upper Transition Region Imager(SUTRI)onboard the Space Advanced Technology demonstration satellite(SATech-01),which was launched to a Sun-synchronous orbit at a height of~500 km in 2022 July,aims to test the on-orbit performance of our newly developed Sc/Si multi-layer reflecting mirror and the 2k×2k EUV CMOS imaging camera and to take full-disk solar images at the Ne VII 46.5 nm spectral line with a filter width of~3 nm.SUTRI employs a Ritchey-Chrétien optical system with an aperture of 18 cm.The on-orbit observations show that SUTRI images have a field of view of~416×416 and a moderate spatial resolution of~8″without an image stabilization system.The normal cadence of SUTRI images is 30 s and the solar observation time is about16 hr each day because the earth eclipse time accounts for about 1/3 of SATech-01's orbit period.Approximately15 GB data is acquired each day and made available online after processing.SUTRI images are valuable as the Ne VII 46.5 nm line is formed at a temperature regime of~0.5 MK in the solar atmosphere,which has rarely been sampled by existing solar imagers.SUTRI observations will establish connections between structures in the lower solar atmosphere and corona,and advance our understanding of various types of solar activity such as flares,filament eruptions,coronal jets and coronal mass ejections.

文摘Rational design of electrocatalysts is important for a sustainable oxygen evolution reaction(OER).It is still a huge challenge to engineer active sites in multi-sizes and multi-components simultaneously.Here,a series of CoxP nanoparticles(NPs)confined in an SiO2matrix(SiO2/CoxP)is designed and synthesized as OER electrocatalysts.The phosphorization of the hydrolyzed Co-phyllosilicate promotes the formation of ultrasmall and small Co2P and CoP.These are firmly confined in the SiO2matrix.The coupling of multi-size and multi-component CoxP catalysts can regulate reaction kinetics and electron transfer ability,enrich the active sites,and eventually promote the intrinsic OER activity.The SiO2matrix provides abundant porous structure and oxygen vacancies,and these facilitate the exposure of active sites and improve conductivity.Because of the synergy and interplay of multisized/component CoxP NPs and the porous SiO2matrix,the unique SiO2/CoxP heterostructure exhibits low overpotential(293 m V@10 mA cm-2),and robust stability(decay 12 mV after 5000 CV cycles,97.4%of initial current after 100 h chronoamperometric)for the OER process,exceeding many advanced metal phosphide electrocatalysts.This work provides a novel tactic to design low-cost,simple,and highly efficient OER electrocatalysts.

文摘In order to enhance the bearing capacity of structural components,save materials,and reduce cost,a glued laminated timber(glulam)I-beam that is theoretically suitable for engineering application was proposed.In this study,18 glulam specimens were fabricated using larch dimension lumber and resorcinol-formaldehyde resin.Four-point bending tests were carried out to compare the ultimate bearing capacity,strain,and deflection of various specimens.The results showed that:(1)The typical failure mode at bending is the web shear failure parallel to grain.Before the failure,cracks and sounds appear at the beam web,which represent the sudden brittle failure.(2)The cross-sectional strain of glulam beam changed linearly with the beam height,indicating that the plane section assumption was basically established.(3)Stiffener could improve the initial flexural stiffness of glulam beam,which experiences an increase of 28.21%.Larger the shear span ratio,smaller the initial flexural stiffness.The initial flexural stiffness improves by 10-23.5%with the increase in the thickness of the lower flange.(4)The effects of stiffener and shear-span ratio on shear strength are relatively significant.After the stiffeners are set at the support and the loading point in pairs,the shear strength of the glulam beam increases by 15.05%averagely.With the increase in the shear-span ratio,the shearing strength of the glulam I-beam gradually reduces.The equation of the shearing strength with the shear span ratio is obtained,which is shown by high fitting precision.(5)The shear strength correlation,as proposed by Soltis and Rammer,is suitable not only for rectangular beams,but also for glulam I-beams.

文摘This is the first report on a polysaccharide(RCJ2-Ib)isolated from Rosa Chinensis Flos.RCJ2-Ib was obtained through the extraction with water,precipitation with ethanol,separation with DEAE-52 column and purification with DEAE-Sepharose Fast Flow column and Sephadex G100 column.GC,FT-IR and NMR analyses revealed that RCJ2-Ib(3.3 k Da)was a 1,4-linked polymannuronic acid containing substantialβ-Danomers units.The anticoagulant effect of RCJ2-Ib evaluated by using rabbit ear venous blood and an acute blood stasis rat model showed that RCJ2-Ib had obvious anticoagulant activity in regulating endogenous and exogenous coagulation pathways and reducing serum thromboxane B2 and endothelin-1.In addition,RCJ2-Ib could also increase the number of Lactobacillus and Escherichia coli.As a result,RCJ2-Ib has the potential to inhibit thrombosis and maintain the intestinal environment.
文摘Though obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS) and metabolic syndrome(MS) are correlated;the contributing factors for the occurrence of MS in Chinese snorers remain largely undefined.We aimed to investigate the associated pathogenesis of coexistence of OSAHS and MS in Chinese snorers.A total of 144 Chinese habitual snorers were divided into 3 groups,the control group(simple snorers)(n = 36),the mild OSAHS group(n= 52)and the moderate-to-severe OSAHS group(n = 56).The incidence of MS in the moderate-to-severe OSAHS group(26.8%) was significantly higher than that in the control group(8.3%),the mild OSAHS group(11.1%) and all the OSAHS patients(19.45%)(all P 〈 0.05).Homeostatic model assessment(HOMA) index and proinsulin(PI) were negatively correlated with nocturnal meanSpO2 and miniSpO2.Meanwhile,nocturnal SpO2 were negatively correlated with body mass index,waist and neck circumferences and diastolic blood pressure,but positively correlated with total cholesterol and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol.The study indicated that in Chinese snorers,moderate-to-severe OSAHS was closely associated with MS via nocturnal hypoxemia.
