Objective: To investigate brain functional network (BFN) changes in patients with PSCI after acupuncture therapy. Methods: Twenty-two PSCI patients who underwent acupuncture therapy in our hospital were enrolled as research subjects. Another 14 people matched for age, sex, and education level were included in the normal control (HC) group. All the subjects underwent resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI) scans;the PSCI patients underwent one scan before acupuncture therapy and another after. The network metric difference between PSCI patients and HCs was analyzed via the independent-sample t test, whereas the paired-sample t test was employed to analyze the network metric changes in PSCI patients before vs. after treatment. Results: Small-world network attributes were observed in both groups for sparsities between 0.1 and 0.28. Compared with the HC group, the PSCI group presented significantly lower values for the global topological properties (γ, Cp, and Eloc) of the brain;significantly greater values for the nodal attributes of betweenness centrality in the CUN. L and the HES. R, degree centrality in the SFGdor. L, PCG. L, IPL. L, and HES. R, and nodal local efficiency in the ORBsup. R, ORBsupmed. R, DCG. L, SMG. R, and TPOsup. L;and decreased degree centrality in the MFG. R, IFGoperc. R, and SOG. R. After treatment, PSCI patients presented increased degree centrality in the LING.L, LING.R, and IOG. L and nodal local efficiency in PHG. L, IOG. R, FFG. L, and the HES. L, and decreased betweenness centrality in the PCG. L and CUN. L, degree centrality in the ORBsupmed. R, and nodal local efficiency in ANG. R. Conclusion: Cognitive decline in PSCI patients may be related to BFN disorders;acupuncture therapy may modulate the topological properties of the BFNs of PSCI patients.展开更多

Decreased lactate dehydrogenase B(LDHB) has been detected in breast cancer but the function of LDHB remains unknown. Methods: Western blot was used to analyze LDHB expression in breast cancer cells. The impact of LDHB on tumor cell migration and invasion was determined using Transwell assays, wound healing assays, and a mouse lung metastasis model. Subcutaneous tumor formation, a natural killer(NK) cell cytotoxicity assay, and flow cytometry evaluated NK cell activation. Immunofluorescence and quantitative real-time PCR detected NK cell activation markers. Kaplan-Meier analysis evaluated the effect of immune cell infiltration on prognosis. Single-sample gene set enrichment analysis determined NK cell activation scores. A support vector machine predicted the role of LDHB in NK cell activation. Results: In this study we showed that LDHB inhibits the breast cancer cell metastasis and orchestrates metabolic reprogramming within tumor cells. Our results revealed that LDHB-mediated lactic acid clearance in breast cancer cells triggers NK cell activation within the tumor microenvironment. Our findings, which were confirmed in a murine model, demonstrated that LDHB in tumor cells promotes NK cell activation and ultimately results in the eradication of malignant cells. Clinically, our study further validated that LDHB affects immune cell infiltration and function. Specifically, its expression has been linked to enhanced NK cell-mediated cytotoxicity and improved patient survival. Furthermore, we identified LDHB expression in tumors as an important predictor of NK cell activation, with strong predictive ability in some cancers. Conclusions: Our results suggest that LDHB is a promising target for activating the tumor immune microenvironment in breast cancer, where LDHB-associated lactic acid clearance leads to increased NK cell activity. This study highlights the critical role of LDHB in regulating immune responses and its potential as a therapeutic target for breast cancer.展开更多

It is actually called “childbirth analgesia” in medicine. Labor analgesia, as its name implies, is the use of various methods to reduce or even eliminate the pain during labor. With the development of anesthesiology and pain, it has been widely used in foreign countries, especially in some developed countries in the West. The rate of labor analgesia in the United States is > 85%, and even as high as 90% in Britain. The best childbirth analgesia should include side effect is small to puerpera and fetus, exact analgesic effect, quick effect, maintain time is long, can satisfy normal labor course;puerpera is awake, can cooperate childbirth and do not affect uterine contraction, and do not affect labor course progress. In 2000, WHO proposed that medical institutions should provide various labor analgesic services for parturient women to reduce labor pain as much as possible. Encourage the use of non-pharmaceutical analgesic techniques. In this paper, the effects of different modes of labor analgesia on neonates are described as follows.展开更多

Based on the population assumed to be a constant size, we transform the discrete SIR epidemic model into a planar map. Then we find out its equilibrium points and eigenvalues. From discussing the influence of the coefficient parameters effected on the eigenvalues, we give the hyperbolicity of equilibrium points and determine which point is saddle, node or focus as well as their stability. Further, by deriving equations describing flows on the center manifolds, we discuss the transcritical bifurcation at the non-hyperbolic equilibrium point. Finally, we give some numerical simulation examples for illustrating the theoretical analysis and the biological explanation of our theorem.展开更多

In the field of lithium-ion batteries, the unconventional anode materials such as tin, silicon, metallic lithium, and transition-metal oxides have been extensively studied due to the high capacity, but they are still inapplicable because of the low initial coulombic efficiency(ICE) and/or the poor cycling stability [5–9].展开更多

By using thioacetamide as the sulfur source, the electrodeposited NiCo2O4 is directly converted into NiCo2O4 nanosheets arrays without hightemperature sulfurization. Higher porosity and better electrical conductivity are obtained for the NiCo2O4 nanosheets arrays. In addition, reduced diffusion paths of electrons/ions and alleviated volume expansion during cycling are achieved due to the unique porous structure of NiCo2S4. Consequently, as the cathode of alkaline batteries, the obtained NiCo2S4 nanosheets arrays show better electrochemical performance with a high specific capacity(83.5 m Ah g-1 at 0.5 A g-1) and better cycling stability(capacity retention of 93% after 5000 cycles) than the NiCo2O4 counterpart arrays(40.3 mAh g-1 at 0.5 A g-1). Our work demonstrates that sulfurization on binary metal oxides can greatly enhance electrochemical performance and shows a new way for construction of advanced electrodes for high-rate batteries.展开更多

Determining the genetic div...Taxus chinensis and T. wallichiana in have been threatened in their distribution areas in recent decades because of their over-exploitation and reduction and destruction of native habitats. Determining the genetic diversity in populations of the two species will provide guidelines for their protection and preservation. Two hundred and fifteen trees from six populations of T. chinensis and150 sampled trees of T. wallichiana were sampled. Six microsatellite primer pairs selected from 16 primer pairs were used to investigate genetic variation at the population and species levels. Five yielded polymorphic alleles, and among the 13 putative alleles amplified, 11 were polymorphic(accounting for 76.33 %).Shannon's information index(I) and percentage of polymorphic bands(PPB)(I = 0.202 and PPB = 67.22 % for T. chinensis; I = 0.217 and PPB = 65.03 % for T. wallichiana). Both species had low levels of genetic diversity(mean Ho= 0.107, He= 0.121 for T. chinensis; Ho= 0.095, He= 0.109 for T. wallichiana). Genetic differentiation among populations was higher(FST= 0.189) for T. chinensis and lower(0.156) for T.wallichiana, indicating limited gene flow(Nm) among populations for T. chinensis(0.68) and T. wallichiana(0.65).Variation among individuals of T. chinensis was 63.59 and73.12 % for T. wallichiana. Thus, the threatened status of the two conifers is related to a lack of genetic diversity. All populations are isolated in small forest remnants. An ex situ conservation site should be established with a new population for these species that comprises all the genetic groups for the best chance to improve their fitness under environmental stresses.展开更多

The resul...The harmful effect of low-concentration lanthanum [La(Ⅲ)] on plants was investigated by choosing horseradish as a representative of plants and using the methods of physics, analytical chemistry and biology. The results show that the genetic expressions related to glucosinolates(GLS, the marker of plant resisting harmful effects) synthesis are significantly increased after the endocytosis in leaf cells is initiated by low-concentrations La(Ⅲ). Consequently, the activities in the key enzymes for catalyzing the GLS synthesis are promoted. Meanwhile, the contents of the precursors and substrates in GLS synthesis are increased. All the above changes accelerate the GLS synthesis and result in the maximum increase in GLS content by 14%. Finally, the uptake of nutrient elements in horseradish is enhanced, and the yield of horseradish is maximally increased by 25%. Therefore, low-concentration La(Ⅲ) is harmful to plants, and plants can promote growth to resist the harmful effects of low-concentration La(Ⅲ) by regulating GLS content. The results show a new insight into how rare earth elements stimulate plant growth, and provide a reference for the risk assessment of rare earth elements.展开更多

Finally, we give some numerical simulation examples for illustrating the theoretical analysis and the biological explanation of our theorem.

文摘With the development of portable electronic devices, electric vehicles, and power storage systems, the demand for rechargeable batteries with high energy density is growing rapidly [1–5]. In the field of lithium-ion batteries, the unconventional anode materials such as tin, silicon, metallic lithium, and transition-metal oxides have been extensively studied due to the high capacity, but they are still inapplicable because of the low initial coulombic efficiency(ICE) and/or the poor cycling stability [5–9].

文摘Highly cross-linked porous NiCo2S4 nanosheets arrays are synthesized by a high-efficiency hydrothermal conversion from the preformed electrodeposited NiCo2O4 arrays. Our work demonstrates that sulfurization on binary metal oxides can greatly enhance electrochemical performance and shows a new way for construction of advanced electrodes for high-rate batteries.

文摘Taxus chinensis and T. wallichiana in have been threatened in their distribution areas in recent decades because of their over-exploitation and reduction and destruction of native habitats. An ex situ conservation site should be established with a new population for these species that comprises all the genetic groups for the best chance to improve their fitness under environmental stresses.
文摘<strong>Objective: </strong>To explore the therapeutic effect of autologous blood reinfusion combined with controlled hypotension in surgical spinal fixation during the outbreak of COVID-19. <strong>Methods: </strong>30 patients with spinal internal fixation autologous blood transfusion combined with controlled hypotension were selected as the subjects during the epidemic period from December 2019 to June 2020 in our hospital and during the operation, on the basis of routine blood pressure reduction, the American Haemonetice Corporation autologous blood continuous reinfusion system was used to infuse the blood recovered during the operation to the patient through filtration and other procedures. <strong>Results:</strong> 30 patients had no complications such as fever and hemolysis; And after the operation, the tube was dialed according to the drainage volume, the cervical thoracic and lumbar brace was customized, and the patient walked on the ground for one week; After no abnormalities, the patient was discharged. Intraoperative comparison of white blood cells (WBC), red blood cells (RBC), red blood cell pressure (HCT), hemoglobin (HGB), and coagulation time (PT) of patients with autologous blood before and after transfusion showed statistically significant differences before and after surgery (P < 0.001). <strong>Conclusion:</strong> During the new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, the internal fixation of spinal surgery used a recovery machine to collect intraoperative blood for reinfusion. Intraoperative antihypertensive drugs were used to control blood pressure within a certain safe range. The postoperative clinical observation effect was significant and safe;especially at present the clinical significance during the epidemic was significant.
文摘<strong>Objective:</strong> <span lang="EN-US" style="font-family:;" "=""><span style="font-family:Verdana;">To understand the application of serum ferritin combined with blood routine testing in the screening of obstetrics and gynecology diseases in this region. </span><b><span style="font-family:Verdana;">Methods: </span></b><span style="font-family:Verdana;">From January 1, 2017, to October 28, 2020, all obstetric pregnant women, inpatient maternal, gynecological outpatient, and gynecological inpatients in our hospital’s outpatient and inpatient clinics were collected for serum ferritin determination and blood routine related index detection and analysis Changes in results. The application value of serum special protein in gynecological and obstetrical disease screening was put forward. </span><b><span style="font-family:Verdana;">Results:</span></b><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> A total of 15,656 cases of obstetrics and gynecology patients were collected, of which 15,300 were pregnant women. Comparing maternity checkups with hospitalized puerpera, the difference of all indexes except RBC was statistically significant (P < 0.05);Comparison of various indicators between gynecological outpatient clinics and gynecological hospitalizations, maternity checkups and gynecological outpatient clinics, inpatient maternal and gynecological hospitalizations, etc.;there was no statistically significant difference in all indicators (P > 0.05). Comparison of hospitalized puerpera and gynecological hospitalization, the difference of other indexes except for MCV, MCH was statistically significant (P < 0.05);Comparing hospitalized puerpera and gynecological clinics, the difference of HGB results was statistically significant (P < 0.05), but the difference of other indexes was not statistically significant (P > 0.05). </span><b><span style="font-family:Verdana;">Conclusion: </span></b><span style="font-family:Verdana;">During the maternity check-up period, the ferritin consumption is too large, the blood volume increases, and the blood routine-related items are reduced. The consumption is greater for a period of time after delivery, and recovery requires a certain process, which is relatively low;The ferritin in the body slowly recovered and the ferritin concentration increased. This process is a process of physiological change and does not involve related diseases, but from this result, we are also required to strengthen nutrition for pregnant women in order to give birth to healthier babies. The ferritin test of gynecological patients is mainly a screening of related diseases, and the results of this time did not screen out serious diseases.</span></span>
文摘Obesity is a serious health problem of our time. Dysfunction of adipogenesis, the differentiation of adipocytes, is a hallmark of obesity. Therefore here we investigate the role of the COP9 signalosome and of CHOP in the differentiation of LiSa-2 preadipocytes.

文摘The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic,caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),has claimedmillions of lives and caused innumerable economic losses worldwide.Unfortunately,state-of-the-art treatments still lag behind the continual emergence of new variants.Key to resolving this issue is developing antivirals to deactivate coronaviruses regardless of their structural evolution. Here,we report an innovative antiviral strategy involving extracellular disintegration of viral proteins with hyperanion-grafted enediyne(EDY)molecules. The core EDY generates reactive radical species and causes significant damage to the spike protein of coronavirus, while the hyperanion groups ensure negligible cytotoxicity of the molecules. The EDYs exhibit antiviral activity down to nanomolar concentrations, and the selectivity index of up to 20,000 against four kinds of human coronavirus, including the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant, suggesting the high potential of this new strategy in combating the COVID-19 pandemic and a future“disease X.”

文摘The harmful effect of low-concentration lanthanum [La(Ⅲ)] on plants was investigated by choosing horseradish as a representative of plants and using the methods of physics, analytical chemistry and biology. The results show a new insight into how rare earth elements stimulate plant growth, and provide a reference for the risk assessment of rare earth elements.
