Sponge gourd(Luffa cylindrica)is an important cultivated vegetable and medicinal plant in the family Cucurbitaceae.In this study,a draft genome sequence of the sponge gourd inbred line P93075 was analyzed.Using Illumi...Sponge gourd(Luffa cylindrica)is an important cultivated vegetable and medicinal plant in the family Cucurbitaceae.In this study,a draft genome sequence of the sponge gourd inbred line P93075 was analyzed.Using Illumina,PacBio,and 10×Genomics sequencing techniques as well as new assembly techniques such as FALCON and chromatin interaction mapping(Hi-C),a chromosome-scale genome of approximately 656.19 Mb,with an N50 scaffold length of 48.76 Mb,was generated.From this assembly,25,508 protein-coding gene loci were identified,and 63.81%of the whole-genome consisted of transposable elements,which are major contributors to the expansion of the sponge gourd genome.According to a phylogenetic analysis of conserved genes,the sponge gourd lineage diverged from the bitter gourd lineage approximately 41.6 million years ago.Additionally,many genes that respond to biotic and abiotic stresses were found to be lineage specific or expanded in the sponge gourd genome,as demonstrated by the presence of 462 NBS-LRR genes,a much greater number than are found in the genomes of other cucurbit species;these results are consistent with the high stress resistance of sponge gourd.Collectively,our study provides insights into genome evolution and serves as a valuable reference for the genetic improvement of sponge gourd.展开更多

It is reportedly associated with the dop...Introduction: Impulsivity in intertemporal choice has been operationalized as “delay discounting,” referring to the preference for a sooner, smaller reward in neuroeconomics. It is reportedly associated with the dopaminergic systems. Dopamine receptor D2 (DRD2) is the D2 subtype of the dopamine receptor of the G-protein coupled receptor family. The aim of this study was to explore the effect of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in DRD2 gene on delay discounting. Methods: The participants consisted of 91 healthy Japanese people (66 males and 25 females with a mean age of 40.9 ± 6.9 years). Each participant completed the Kirby’s monetary choice questionnaire (MCQ) for delayed gain and donated a whole blood sample. Two SNPs (C957T (rs6277) and TaqI A (rs1800497)) in DRD2 were genotyped by using the DigiTag2 assay. SNP linear regression analyses with 100,000 permutations were conducted for the hyperbolic time-discount rate (k). Results: The SNP C957T showed a significant association;participants with more minor alleles (T) were more impulsive in intertemporal choice for delayed gain (multiplicity-corrected P = 0.041 with a small effect size). Conclusion: The variation in the DRD2 gene is associated with impulsive decision-making. This is the first study to demonstrate an association between DRD2 and impulsivity in intertemporal choice with a multiplicity-corrected significance.展开更多
We present a quantum dynamics study on the isotope effects of hydro-gen transfer isomerization in the formic acid dimer,and this is achieved by multidimensional dy-namics calculations with an efficient quantum mechani...We present a quantum dynamics study on the isotope effects of hydro-gen transfer isomerization in the formic acid dimer,and this is achieved by multidimensional dy-namics calculations with an efficient quantum mechanical theoretical scheme developed by our group,on a full-dimensional neural network ab initio potential energy surface.The ground-state and fundamental tun-neling splittings for four deuterium isotopologues of formic acid dimer are considered,and the calculated results are in very good general agreement with the avail-able experimental measurements.Strong isotope effects are revealed,the mode-specific funda-mental excitation effects on the tunneling rate are evidently influenced by the deuterium sub-stitution of H atom with the substitution on the OH bond being more effective than on the CH bond.Our studies are helpful for acquiring a better understanding of isotope effects in the double-hydrogen transfer processes.展开更多

They are promi...Skyrmions in synthetic antiferromagnetic(SAF) systems have attracted much attention in recent years due to their superior stability, high-speed mobility, and completely compensated skyrmion Hall effect. They are promising building blocks for the next generation of magnetic storage and computing devices with ultra-low energy and ultra-high density.Here, we theoretically investigate the motion of a skyrmion in an SAF bilayer racetrack and find the velocity of a skyrmion can be controlled jointly by the edge effect and the driving force induced by the spin current. Furthermore, we propose a logic gate that can realize different logic functions of logic AND, OR, NOT, NAND, NOR, and XOR gates. Several effects including the spin–orbit torque, the skyrmion Hall effect, skyrmion–skyrmion repulsion, and skyrmion–edge interaction are considered in this design. Our work may provide a way to utilize the SAF skyrmion as a versatile information carrier for future energy-efficient logic gates.展开更多

To investigate the epidemiological characteristics of anemia of varying severity among women of reproductive age,we conducted a nationwide,cross-sectional study between January 1,2019 and December 31,2019,including 41...To investigate the epidemiological characteristics of anemia of varying severity among women of reproductive age,we conducted a nationwide,cross-sectional study between January 1,2019 and December 31,2019,including 4184547 nonpregnant women aged 18–49 years from all 31 provinces in the mainland of China.Anemia was defined as having hemoglobin concentration<120.0 g/L and categorized as mild,moderate,and severe.Multivariate logistic models with cluster effect were used to explore the association of anemia and metabolic risk factors.The standardized prevalence of anemia and moderate and worse anemia among women of reproductive age in China was 15.8%(95%CI 15.1%–16.6%)and 6.6%(6.3%–7.0%),respectively.The prevalence of anemia and the proportion of moderate and worse anemia significantly increased with age.We also observed great geographic variations in the prevalence of anemia,with a high likelihood in south,central,and northwest China.Moderate and/or severe anemia was positively associated with overweight and obesity,diabetes,and impaired kidney function.In conclusion,anemia remains a significant challenge for women of reproductive age in China.Geographic variations and metabolic risk factors should be considered in the comprehensive and targeting strategy for anemia reduction.展开更多

This paper pointed out the characteristics of port ecological effects and the principles of selecting evaluation index, and used the "pressure-state-response (PSR)" model to analysis the various pressures on the environment caused by port construction and operation, and the system's response. On this basis, we constructed the port ecological suitability evaluation index. This model used the combination of qualitative and quantitative analytic hierarchy process, to meet the multi-level, multi-objective characteristics of evaluation index system. The evaluation index system and evaluation model can be used to analysis the ecological suitability of port projects comprehensively and have some guiding significance to the port ecological suitability evaluation.展开更多
