Rapid Prediction of Wastewater Index Using CNN Architecture and PLS Series Statistical Methods

Chemical oxygen demand (COD) is an important index to measure the degree of water pollution. In this paper, near-infrared technology is used to obtain 148 wastewater spectra to predict the COD value in wastewater. First, the partial least squares regression (PLS) model was used as the basic model. Monte Carlo cross-validation (MCCV) was used to select 25 samples out of 148 samples that did not conform to conventional statistics. Then, the interval partial least squares (iPLS) regression modeling was carried out on 123 samples, and the spectral bands were divided into 40 subintervals. The optimal subintervals are 20 and 26, and the optimal correlation coefficient of the test set (RT) is 0.58. Further, the waveband is divided into five intervals: 17, 19, 20, 22 and 26. When the number of joint intervals under each interval is three, the optimal RT is 0.71. When the number of joint subintervals is four, the optimal RT is 0.79. Finally, convolutional neural network (CNN) was used for quantitative prediction, and RT was 0.9. The results show that CNN can automatically screen the features inside the data, and the quantitative prediction effect is better than that of iPLS and synergy interval partial least squares model (SiPLS) with joint subinterval three and four, indicating that CNN can be used for quantitative analysis of water pollution degree. 展开更多

The normal operation of lysosome, mitochondria, Golgi apparatus and endoplasmic reticulum plays a significant role in maintaining cell homeostasis. Reflecting the state and function of lysosomes, viscosity is a pivotal parameter to assess the stability of microenvironment. Herein, based on TICT mechanism,a new NIR pH-dependent fluorescent probe DCIC with push-pull electronic moiety was synthesized to identify the lysosomes viscosity. In viscous media, DCIC was highly sensitive to viscosity, fluorescence intensity increased by 180 times as viscosity increased from 1.0 cp to 438.4 cp. In addition, DCIC have high localization ability for lysosome, mitochondria, Golgi apparatus, and endoplasmic reticulum and can monitor lysosomal viscosity fluctuations with laser confocal microscopy. 展开更多

Their compositions were determined by C, H elemental analyzer and EDTA titration. The infrared spectra, ultraviolet absorption spectra, and fluorescence spectra were also measured to identify the complexes. Elemental analysis showed that the compositions of these complexes were Tb(p-BrBA)3- H20, Tb(p-CIBA)3- 2H20, Tb(p-FBA)3- H20, Tb(o-FBA)3·2H20, Tb(o-CIBA)3· H20, and Tb(o-BrBA)3. H20, respectively. The monodispersed Ag@SiO2 core-shell nanoparticles with silica thicknesses of 10, 15, and 25 nm were success- fully prepared and characterized by transmission-electron microscopy. Fluorescence intensities of the complexes were detected before and after Ag@SiO2core-shell nanoparticles were added; the enhancement times were related to the silica-shell thick- ness. The fluorescence enhancement times were largest when the thickness of the silica shell was 25 nm. The mechanism may be attributed to the localized surface-plasmon resonance. Furthermore, the enhancement effect of terbium fluoro-benzoate complexes was the strongest in these complexes. This result may be attributed to the hydrogen bond between the hydroxyl on the surface of the silica shell and the fluorine atom. 展开更多

A few monolayers of organic semiconductors adjacent to the dielectric layer are of vital importance in organic field-effect transistors due to their dominant role in charge transport.In this report,the 2-nm-thick polymer monolayers based on poly(3-hexylthiophene)with different molecular weights(M_(n))were fabricated using dip-coating technique.During the monolayer(solid state)formation from the solution,a disorder-to-order transition of polymer conformation is observed through UV-vis absorption measurement.Meanwhile,high Mn polymer monolayer generates higher crystalline fibrillar microstructure than the low Mn one due to the strongerπ–πintermolecular packing between polymers.More importantly,the solution aging procedure is utilized to further improve the morphology of polymer monolayers.It is obvious that after aging for 6 d,both fiber dimension and density as well as conjugation length are significantly increased under the same processing conditions in comparison to the fresh solution,and consequently the field-effect mobilities are remarkably enhanced by 2—4 times.Note that the maximum mobility of 0.027 cm2·V^(–1)·s^(–1)is among the highest reported values for poly(3-hexylthiophene)monolayer transistors.These results demonstrate a simple but powerful strategy for boosting the device performance of polymer monolayer transistors. 展开更多
