It is difficult to control the degree of ischemic postconditioning in the brain and other isch- emia-sensitive organs. Remote ischemic postconditioning could protect some ischemia-sensitive organs through measures on terminal organs. In this study, a focal cerebral ischemia-reperftlsion injury model was established using three cycles of remote ischernic postconditioning, each cycle consisted of 10-minute occlusion of the femoral artery and 10-minute opening. The results showed that, remote ischemic postconditioning significantly decreased the percentage of the in- farct area and attenuated brain edema. In addition, inflammatory nuclear factor-KB expression was significantly lower, while anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 expression was significantly elevated in the ce- rebral cortex on the ischemic side. Our findings indicate that remote ischemic postconditioning attenuates focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury, and that the neuroprotective mechanism is mediated by an anti-apoptotic effect and reduction of the inflammatory response. 展开更多

Previous studies have shown that exogenous gangliosides promote nervous system regeneration and synapse formation. In this study, 10 mm sciatic nerve segments from New Zealand rabbits were thawed from cryopreservation and were used for the repair of left sciatic nerve defects through allograft bridging. Three days later, 1 mL ganglioside solution (1 g/L) was sub- cutaneously iniected into the right hind leg of rabbits. Compared with non-injected rats, muscle wet weight ratio was increased at 2-12 weeks after modeling. The quantity of myelinated fibers in regenerated sciatic nerve, myelin thickness and fiber diameter were elevated at 4-12 weeks after modeling. Sciatic nerve potential amplitude and conduction velocity were raised at 8 and 12 weeks, while conduction latencies were decreased at 12 weeks. Experimental findings indicate that ganglioside can promote the regeneration of sciatic nerve defects after repair with cryopre- served peripheral nerve allografts. 展开更多

The waste may potentially be us... Waste biomass is always generated during the production process in industries. The ordinary way to get rid of the waste biomass is to send them to landfill or burn it in the open field. The waste may potentially be used for co-firing with coal to save fossil fuel consumption and also reduce net carbon emissions. In this case study, the bio-waste from a Nicotiana Tahacum (NT) pre-treatment plant is used as the biomass to co-fire with coal. The samples of NT wastes were analysed. It was found that the wastes were of the relatively high energy content which were suitable for co-firing with coal. To investigate the potential and benefits for adding NT wastes to a Fluidised Bed Combustion (FBC) boiler in the plant, detailed modelling and simulation are carried out using the European Coal Liquefaction Process Simulation and Evaluation (ECLIPSE) process simulation package. The feedstock blending ratios of NT waste to coal studied in this work are varied from 0% to 30%. The results show that the addition of NT wastes may decrease the emissions of CO2 and SOx without reducing the boiler performance. 展开更多

Due to its difficulty in early diagnosis and lack of sensitivity to chemotherapy and radiotherapy,renal cell carcinoma(RCC)remains to be a frequent cause of cancer-related death.Here,we probed into new targets for its early diagnosis and treatment for RCC.microRNA(miRNA)data of M2-EVs and RCC were searched on the Gene Expression Omnibus database,followed by the prediction of the potential downstream target.Expression of target genes was measured via RT-qPCR and Western blot,respectively.M2 macrophage was obtained viaflow cytometry with M2-EVs extracted.The binding ability of miR-342-3p to NEDD4L and to CEP55 ubiquitination was studied with their roles in the physical abilities of RCC cells assayed.Subcutaneous tumor-bearing mouse models and lung metastasis models were prepared to observe in vivo role of target genes.M2-EVs induced RCC growth and metastasis.miR-342-3p showed high expression in both M2-EVs and RCC cells.M2-EVs carrying miR-342-3p promoted RCC cell abilities to proliferate,invade and migrate.In RCC cells,M2-EV-derived miR-342-3p could specifically bind to NEDD4L and consequently elevate CEP55 protein expression via suppressing NEDD4L,thereby exerting tumor-promoting effects.CEP55 could be degraded by ubiquitination under the function of NEDD4L,and miR-342-3p delivered by M2-EVs facilitated the RCC occurrence and development by activating the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway.In conclusion,M2-EVs promote RCC growth and metastasis by delivering miR-342-3p to suppress NEDD4L and subsequently inhibit CEP55 ubiquitination and degradation via activation of the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway,strongly driving the proliferative,migratory and invasive of RCC cells. 展开更多

Keyphrase greatly provides summarized and valuable information.This information can help us not only understand text semantics,but also organize and retrieve text content effectively.The task of automatically generating it has received considerable attention in recent decades.From the previous studies,we can see many workable solutions for obtaining keyphrases.One method is to divide the content to be summarized into multiple blocks of text,then we rank and select the most important content.The disadvantage of this method is that it cannot identify keyphrase that does not include in the text,let alone get the real semantic meaning hidden in the text.Another approach uses recurrent neural networks to generate keyphrases from the semantic aspects of the text,but the inherently sequential nature precludes parallelization within training examples,and distances have limitations on context dependencies.Previous works have demonstrated the benefits of the self-attention mechanism,which can learn global text dependency features and can be parallelized.Inspired by the above observation,we propose a keyphrase generation model,which is based entirely on the self-attention mechanism.It is an encoder-decoder model that can make up the above disadvantage effectively.In addition,we also consider the semantic similarity between keyphrases,and add semantic similarity processing module into the model.This proposed model,which is demonstrated by empirical analysis on five datasets,can achieve competitive performance compared to baseline methods. 展开更多

Due to the complex structure and large size of large-capacity oil-immersed power transformers,it is difficult to predict the winding temperature distribution directly by numerical analysis.A 180 MVA,220 kV oil-immersed self-cooling power transformer is used as the research object.The authors decouple the internal fluid domain of the power transformer into four regions:high voltage windings,medium voltage windings,low voltage windings,and radiators through fluid networks and establish the 3D fluidtemperature field numerical analysis model of the four regions,respectively.The results of the fluid network model are used as the inlet boundary conditions for the 3D fluidtemperature numerical analysis model.In turn,the fluid resistance of the fluid network model is corrected according to the results of the 3D fluid-temperature field numerical analysis model.The prediction of the temperature distribution of windings is realised by the coupling calculation between the fluid network model and the 3D fluid-temperature field numerical analysis model.Based on this,the effect of the loading method of the heat source is also investigated using the proposed method.The hotspot temperatures of the high-voltage,medium-voltage,and low-voltage windings are 89.43,86.33,and 80.96°C,respectively.Finally,an experimental platform is built to verify the results.The maximum relative error between calculated and measured values is 4.42%,which meets the engineering accuracy requirement. 展开更多
