The sulfate radical-based photocatalytic process is supposed to be the most promising way to degrade organic pollutants.However,the development of a suitable and efficient photocatalyst is very challenging.The 40LaFeO...The sulfate radical-based photocatalytic process is supposed to be the most promising way to degrade organic pollutants.However,the development of a suitable and efficient photocatalyst is very challenging.The 40LaFeO_(3)-CuFe_(2)O_(4)(40LFO-CFO)nanocomposite was constructed and its catalytic performance was studied using Rhodamine B(RhB)as the target pollutant.40LFO-CFO exhibited excellent RhB degradation by the persulfate(PS)-assisted photocatalytic process compared to the pristine LFO and CFO.The degradation rate constant for RhB by 40LFO-CFO in the Vis/PS system was 2.22h^(-1)which is 3.04 times and 5.05 times higher than the pristine LFO(0.73 h^(-1))and CFO(0.44h^(-1)),respectively.Furthermore,the trapping experiments and EPR spectra proved that h^(+) plays a leading role in the bleaching of RhB for the 40LFO-CFO/PS/Vis system.The enhanced photocatalytic oxidation activity of 40LFO-CFO could be attributed to the unique charge carriers flow in 40LFO-CFO due to the Z-scheme and the cooperation effect between photocatalysis and PS activation.The recycle tests confessed the stability of 40LFO-CFO.Additionally,the intermediates and products of RhB are detected by liquid chromatographymass spectrometry(LC-MS),and the photocatalytic degradation routes of RhB for the 40LFO-CFO/Vis/PS system were proposed.Moreover,the 40LFO-CFO nanocomposite has a superior catalytic performance for other organics,suggesting that it is a promising heterocatalyst because of its high catalytic activity and stability for the PS-assisted photocatalytic process.展开更多
Background Co-salient object detection(Co-SOD)aims to identify and segment commonly salient objects in a set of related images.However,most current Co-SOD methods encounter issues with the inclusion of irrelevant info...Background Co-salient object detection(Co-SOD)aims to identify and segment commonly salient objects in a set of related images.However,most current Co-SOD methods encounter issues with the inclusion of irrelevant information in the co-representation.These issues hamper their ability to locate co-salient objects and significantly restrict the accuracy of detection.Methods To address this issue,this study introduces a novel Co-SOD method with iterative purification and predictive optimization(IPPO)comprising a common salient purification module(CSPM),predictive optimizing module(POM),and diminishing mixed enhancement block(DMEB).Results These components are designed to explore noise-free joint representations,assist the model in enhancing the quality of the final prediction results,and significantly improve the performance of the Co-SOD algorithm.Furthermore,through a comprehensive evaluation of IPPO and state-of-the-art algorithms focusing on the roles of CSPM,POM,and DMEB,our experiments confirmed that these components are pivotal in enhancing the performance of the model,substantiating the significant advancements of our method over existing benchmarks.Experiments on several challenging benchmark co-saliency datasets demonstrate that the proposed IPPO achieves state-of-the-art performance.展开更多

Objective There are several reports that suggest a significant role played by microRNAs(miRNAs) in cell invasion, metastasis, differentiation, and apoptosis in lung cancers. miR-375 is one such miRNA that has been det...Objective There are several reports that suggest a significant role played by microRNAs(miRNAs) in cell invasion, metastasis, differentiation, and apoptosis in lung cancers. miR-375 is one such miRNA that has been detected in a variety of tumors, but its specific activity in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) remains unclear. Methods In this study, we regulated the expression of miR-375, to evaluate its influence on the 14-3-3ζ/ERK/MYC pathway in NSCLC. Results The results of our experiments suggest that miR-375 and 14-3-3ζ are highly expressed in NSCLC, and the over-expression of miR-375 increases the invasive, metastatic, and proliferative ability and decreases the apoptotic ability of NSCLC cells. In addition, protein expression levels of 14-3-3ζ, p-ERK, and MYC increased following the overexpression of miR-375. Conclusion Overall, our findings indicate that miR-375 increases the malignant potential of NSCLC via the 14-3-3ζ/ERK/MYC pathway.展开更多
Lung cancer is one of the malignant tumors with the fastest increase in morbidity and mortality and the greatest threat to people’s health and life.Worldwide,lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in men an...Lung cancer is one of the malignant tumors with the fastest increase in morbidity and mortality and the greatest threat to people’s health and life.Worldwide,lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in men and the second leading cause of cancer deaths in women[1].Lung cancer is divided into two major groups,small cell lung cancer(SCLC)and non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)[2].SCLC accounts for approximately 20%of lung cancers.It has a high degree of malignancy and early metastasis,and is sensitive to chemotherapy and radiotherapy.The initial remission rate is high,but it is prone to secondary drug resistance and relapse.Chemotherapy is the mainstay.NSCLC includes three major histological subtypes,lung squamous cell carcinoma(SCC),lung adenocarcinoma(ADC),and large cell lung cancer(LCLC),accounting for approximately 80%of lung cancers.Cell division is slower,and the diffusion shift is relatively late[3].Nevertheless,while current research on the biological characteristics of different histological subtypes of NSCLC is expanding,its basic molecular mechanism is not yet clear.For example,smoking is more risky for SCC than ADC[4].Micro-RNA is an endogenous small RNA with a length of approximately 19–25 nucleotides.As a short non-coding RNA,its main function is to regulate the expression level of mRNA.miRNAs can be used as proto-oncogenes or tumor suppressors,and participate in various processes including proliferation,apoptosis,metabolism,and differentiation of cells through targeted binding to different transcripts[5].miRNAs are expressed in specific tissue and developmental stages under normal physiological conditions,but abnormal expression of miRNAs can lead to a series of pathological states,such as tumorigenesis and metastasis[6–7].miRNA regulates the function of tumor cells by regulating the expression of functional proteins.For example,miR-206 promotes breast cancer proliferation by inhibiting estrogen receptor alpha(ERα)while miR-34a downregulates E2 factor transcription factor 2(E2F2)expression to regulate the cell cycle and apoptosis[8–9].CIP2A,as an oncogenic protein during the malignant transformation and progression of cancer cells,has been shown to have a certain relationship with the efficacy of many drugs in cancer treatment.Oncoprotein CIP2A,also known as KIAA1524 or P90,was named in 2007 and is a cancerous inhibitor of PP2A due to its effect on cancer cells.The stability of PP2A and MYC is controlled to form a"carcinogenic connection"[10].In this study,we found that miR-375 regulated the expression of downstream protein kinase B(AKT),MYC,p-AKT and other related proteins through the CIP2A/PP2A signaling pathway,inhibiting the cancer phenotype of lung cancer,and affecting cell invasion,proliferation,apoptosis,and the cell morphology process.We found that the CIP2A gene is a direct binding target of miR-375.Thus,it has become a topic of great interest to explore whether and how miR-375 regulates ADC cells through the CIP2A signaling pathway.By up-regulating miR-375 in a lentivirus-transfected A549 cell line,we found that a series of phenotypes,including cell invasion,proliferation,and apoptosis were changed,and that CIP2A and its downstream signaling proteins were also changed.展开更多
