It has remained a hard nut for years to segment sonar images of jacket installation environment,most of which are noisy images with inevitable blur after noise reduction.For the purpose of solutions to this problem,a ...It has remained a hard nut for years to segment sonar images of jacket installation environment,most of which are noisy images with inevitable blur after noise reduction.For the purpose of solutions to this problem,a fast segmen-tation algorithm is proposed on the basis of the gray value characteristics of sonar images.This algorithm is endowed with the advantage in no need of segmentation thresholds.To realize this goal,we follow the undermentioned steps:first,calcu-late the gray matrix of the fuzzy image background.After adjusting the gray value,the image is divided into three regions:background region,buffer region and target regions.Afterfiltering,we reset the pixels with gray value lower than 255 to binarize images and eliminate most artifacts.Finally,the remaining noise is removed by morphological processing.The simulation results of several sonar images show that the algorithm can segment the fuzzy sonar images quickly and effectively.Thus,the stable and feasible method is testified.展开更多

ZFO nanocrystals were well anchored on the inner walls of the pristine TONTAs when the ZFO suspensions(0.025 mg m L^(-1)) were kept under a60 V bias voltage for 1 h. After annealing at 750 °C for2 h, the heterostructured ZFO/Fe_2 TiO_5(FTO)/TiO_2 composite nanotube arrays were successfully obtained. Furthermore, Fe^(3+)was reduced to Fe^(2+)when solid solution reactions occurred at the interface of ZFO and the pristine TONTAs. Introducing ZFO significantly enhanced thevisible light absorption of the ZFO/FTO/TONTAs relative to that of the annealed TONTAs. The coexistence of type I and staggered type II band alignment in the ZFO/FTO/TONTAs facilitated the separation of photogenerated electrons and holes, thereby improving the efficiency of the ZFO/FTO/TONTAs for photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue when irradiated with simulated sunlight.展开更多
To troubleshoot two problems arising from the segmentation of manganese nodule images-uneven illumination and morphological defects caused by white sand coverage,we propose,with reference to features of manganese nodu...To troubleshoot two problems arising from the segmentation of manganese nodule images-uneven illumination and morphological defects caused by white sand coverage,we propose,with reference to features of manganese nodules,a method called“background gray value calculation”.As the result of the image procession with the aid this method,the two problems above are solved eventually,together with acquisition of a segmentable image of manganese nodules.As a result,its comparison with other segmentation methods justifies its feasibility and stability.Judging from simulation results,it is indicated that this method is applicable to repair the target shape in the image,and segment the manganese nodule image in a short time.Also,it could be used to synchronously process a large number of manganese nodules on different conditions in an image,laying a good foundation for automatic underwater manganese nodule survey.Even if the target in the image is slightly distorted,the statistical data of manganese nodules are still accurate.Moreover,other methods cannot be fully applied to the segmentation of manganese nodule images;in another word,the effectiveness and stability of this method are proved.展开更多

Utilizing OnLine Short Text (OLST) in social networking tools such as microblogs, instant messag- ing platforms, and short message service via smart phones has become a routine in daily life. OLST is ap- pealing for...Utilizing OnLine Short Text (OLST) in social networking tools such as microblogs, instant messag- ing platforms, and short message service via smart phones has become a routine in daily life. OLST is ap- pealing for personal covert communication because it can hide information in a very short carrier text, and this concealment is hard to detect due to the diversity of normal traffic. However, designing appropriate schemes confronts several challenges: they need to be provably secure, and their performance needs to maintain high efficiency and handy usability due to the short length of OLST messages. In this paper, we propose a family of customized schemes known as HiMix, HiCod, HiOpt, and HiPhs for text steganography in OLST. These schemes are evaluated in terms of their security and their performance with regard to two metrics that address the particular characteristics of OLST: hiding rate and hiding ease. All proposed schemes are proved to be at least computationally secure, and their performance in terms of hiding rate and hiding ease justifies their applicability in social networking tools that utilize OLST.展开更多

The effects of annealing temperature on Cu-doped ZnO nanosheets were studied in this paper. Cu-doped ZnO nanosheets were annealed at 200-500℃ in air. The annealed specimens were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results show that Cu concentration in Cu-doped ZnO nanosheets reduced with increasing annealing temperature. When annealing temperature was lower than Zn melting point (410℃), the morphologies of the Cu-doped ZnO nanosheets remained nearly the same as that before annealing. However, when the annealing temperature was over Zn melting point, Cu-doped ZnO nanosheets changed to nanowires, wormlike nanosheets or did not change. The change of Cu concentration in Cu-doped ZnO nanosheets is explained by oxidation thermodynamics. A physical model is suggested to explain the morphology changes of Cu-doped ZnO nanosheets, based on the existence of Cu-rich layer beneath Cu-doped ZnO nanosheets.展开更多
