Stent implantation has been proven to be safe and has become the first-line intervention for May-Thumer syndrome(MTS),with satisfactory mid-term patency rates and clinical outcomes.Recent research has demonstrated tha...Stent implantation has been proven to be safe and has become the first-line intervention for May-Thumer syndrome(MTS),with satisfactory mid-term patency rates and clinical outcomes.Recent research has demonstrated that catheter-directed thrombolysis is the preferred strategy when MTS is combined with deep vein thrombosis after self-expanding stent placement.However,the stent used for the venous system was developed based on the experience obtained in the treatment of arterial disease.Consequently,relatively common corresponding complications may come along later,which include stent displacement,deformation,and obstruction.Different measures such as adopting a stent with a larger diameter,improving stent flexibility,and increasing stent strength have been employed in order to prevent these complications.The ideal venous stent is presently being evaluated and will be introduced in detail in this review.展开更多
Purpose:This article aims to provide an alternative understanding of learning experience in contrast to the dominant constructivist interpretation,and discuss its implication for pedagogy.Design/Approach/Methods:The a...Purpose:This article aims to provide an alternative understanding of learning experience in contrast to the dominant constructivist interpretation,and discuss its implication for pedagogy.Design/Approach/Methods:The aim is specifically achieved in the comparison between a review of how experience is understood in constructivism and its philosophical underpinnings and an exploration of how it can be understood alternatively inspired by Confucius’educational thought and premised on his ontology.Drawing on this philosophical discussion,learning experience is reinterpreted.Findings:Beyond rationally translating experience into knowledge or gaining knowledge on the basis of experience,learning leads students to immediately and consistently experience dao in which tian and ren harmoniously unit.This experience renders aesthetics and religiousness in learning and moral transformation in life events.Originality/Value:By illustrating this ontological alternative of learning experience,this article is an attempt to fundamentally decolonize thinking about pedagogy.展开更多

We propose a uniform backfire-to-endfire leaky-wave antenna(LWA)based on a topological one-way waveguide under external bias magnetic field.We systematically analyze the dispersion,showing that the proposed structure ...We propose a uniform backfire-to-endfire leaky-wave antenna(LWA)based on a topological one-way waveguide under external bias magnetic field.We systematically analyze the dispersion,showing that the proposed structure supports leaky mode arisen from total internal reflection.By means of tuning frequency or magnetic field,we obtain fixed-bias frequency and fixed-frequency bias LWA with continuous beam scanning from backward,broadside to forward direction.More importantly,we,for the first time,demonstrate that this proposed LWA shows mechanical tunability,allowing us to manipulate the radiation direction from backward,broadside to forward direction by mechanically tuning the air layer thickness.The simulated results show that our system exhibits super low 3dB beam width,high radiation efficiency as well as high antenna gain.Being provided such multiple controlled(especially mechanically)beam scanning manners,the present LWA paves an advanced approach for continuous beam scanning,holding a great potential for applications in modern communication and radar system.展开更多
Objective:To investigate the antiplatelet aggregation effect of water-soluble tomato concentrate(WSTC)and explore the underlying molecular mechanisms.Materials and Methods:Platelet aggregometry was used to quantify ra...Objective:To investigate the antiplatelet aggregation effect of water-soluble tomato concentrate(WSTC)and explore the underlying molecular mechanisms.Materials and Methods:Platelet aggregometry was used to quantify rat platelet aggregation with the maximum aggregation rate in vitro and ex vivo.Then,the fibrinogen(FIB)binding assay was employed to detect the effect of WSTC on the activation of platelet integrinαIIβ3(GP IIb/IIIa).Furthermore,Western blot was performed to assess the platelet protein levels of phosphoinositide 3-kinase 110β(PI3 K110β),protein disulfide isomerase(PDI),platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule 1(PECAM-1),andβ1-Tubulin.Results:WSTC inhibited adenosine diphosphate(ADP)and collagen-induced platelet aggregation in a concentration-dependent manner in vitro,at IC50 values of 3.05 g/L and 8.03 g/L,respectively.Significantly reduced ex vivo ADP induced platelet aggregation was observed after oral consumption of WSTC for 4 weeks in rats;average inhibition rates were 24.42%,21.48%,and 20.87%for 25 mg/Kg,75 mg/Kg,and 150 mg/Kg WSTC,respectively.It appeared that WSTC had no influence on coagulation function in rats.Incubation with WSTC decreased FIB binding to GP IIb/IIIa by 17.47%and 32.29%at the concentrations of 0.6 and 6 g/L,respectively.WSTC at 0.6 and 6 g/L markedly downregulated PI3 K110β,PDI,and PECAM-1 in platelets,and upregulatedβ1-Tubulin,in a concentration-dependent manner.Conclusion:WSTC inhibits platelet activation through modulation of platelet skeletal stability and suppresses GP IIb/IIIa receptor-mediated platelet aggregation,likely via the PI3 K signaling pathway and PDI inhibition.展开更多
Background:Acute lung injury(ALI)is a severe and life-threatening lung inflammation with high morbidity and mortality,underscoring the importance to develop effective drugs.Qingjin Huatan decoction(QJHTD),as a classic...Background:Acute lung injury(ALI)is a severe and life-threatening lung inflammation with high morbidity and mortality,underscoring the importance to develop effective drugs.Qingjin Huatan decoction(QJHTD),as a classic ancient prescription,has been widely used for treating respiratory diseases.However,the role and mechanism of QJHTD against ALI remain unclear.Objective:This study aimed to explore the therapeutic effect of QJHTD on lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced ALI in mice and uncover its mechanism.Methods:The therapeutic effect of QJHTD on LPS-induced ALI in mice was evaluated by the histopathological changes in the lung tissue,the lung wet/dry weight ratio,and the levels of inflammatory cytokines and thrombin-antithrombin complexes.Transcriptomics was used to predict the mechanism of QJHTD in treating ALI.The expression levels of citrullinated histone 3 in the lung tissue,the content of cell-free DNA in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF),and the platelet-associated formation of neutrophil extracellular traps(NETs)in vitro were determined.Results:Qingjin Huatan decoction exerted protective effect against LPS-induced ALI by suppressing interstitial edema,maintaining the alveolar-capillary barrier,inhibiting the infiltration of neutrophils and platelets in the lung tissue,and lowering the levels of tumor necrosis factorα,interleukin 1β,interleukin 6,and thrombin-antithrombin complexes in BALF.Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway enrichment analysis indicated that the formation of NETs was the main regulatory pathway for QJHTD against ALI.Qingjin Huatan decoction could treat ALI by inhibiting the release of NETs via reducing the content of citrullinated histone 3 in lung tissue and cell-free DNA in BALF in vivo,and suppressing the NETs formation induced by LPS-stimulated platelets under flow and static conditions in vitro.The formation of NETs was considered to bridge the interactions between neutrophils and platelets.Conclusions:This research demonstrated the effects of QJHTD in treating ALI and provided new insights for clarifying the complex regulation of neutrophils,platelets,and NETs in ALI.展开更多
