自立自强 求真务实

1950年夏天,我从北京大学地质系毕业后,就和同学一道出发奔赴玉门油田。从那以后,我再也没离开石油行业。我“找”了一辈子石油,见证了中国石油工业的成长。地质工作很艰苦,有些地方当时非常落后,但每个人都有一颗火热的心,希望能找到油气,振兴祖国的石油工业。我从1957年2月至1985年2月一直在石油工业部地质勘探司工作,参与了这期间的历次石油勘探大会战。这些石油大会战的盛况至今还历历在目。

There are more than 420 Mesozoic and Cenozoic basins stretching over 5.3 million km2 that are over 1000- meter thick in sedimentary rock.
