The interfacial reaction behavior of Al and Ti_(3)AlC_(2)at different pouring temperatures and its effect on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the composites were investigated.The results show that the a...The interfacial reaction behavior of Al and Ti_(3)AlC_(2)at different pouring temperatures and its effect on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the composites were investigated.The results show that the addition of3.0 wt.%Ti_(3)AlC_(2)refines the average grain size ofα(Al)in the composite by 50.1%compared to Al6061 alloy.Morphological analyses indicate that an in-situ Al_(3Ti)transition layer of-180 nm in thickness is generated around the edge of Ti_(3)AlC_(2)at 720℃,forming a well-bonded Al-Al_(3Ti)interface.At this processing temperature,the ultimate tensile strength of A16061-3.0 wt.%Ti_(3)AlC_(2)composite is 199.2 MPa,an improvement of 41.5%over the Al6061 matrix.Mechanism analyses further elucidate that 720℃is favourable for forming the nano-sized transition layer at the Ti_(3)AlC_(2)edges.And,the thermal mismatch strengthening plays a dominant role in this state,with a strengthening contribution of about 74.8%.展开更多

Magnesium-based hydrides have been widely recognized as an appropriate choice for solid-state hydrogen storage.However,its undesirable thermodynamics and sluggish hydrogenation/dehydrogenation kinetics are major bottl...Magnesium-based hydrides have been widely recognized as an appropriate choice for solid-state hydrogen storage.However,its undesirable thermodynamics and sluggish hydrogenation/dehydrogenation kinetics are major bottlenecks for its application.Herein,a highly stable and highly dispersed Ni-based catalyst(Ni/Al_(2)O_(3)/GN)was fabricated to promote the hydrogen storage performance of MgH_(2)via the electrostatic effect of NiAl-LDH/GN precursor with a co-calcination reduction process.MgH_(2)-5wt%Ni/Al_(2)O_(3)/GN exhibits excellent hydrogen storage performance,releasing about 5.7 wt%hydrogen in 3500 s at 250℃,and can reach a saturation hydrogen absorption of about 6.15 wt%in 3000 s at 100℃.Furthermore,it also shows low dehydrogenation apparent activation energy of 89.1 and 118.2 kJ·mol^(-1).Impressively,the catalyst ensures the stability of both the physical phase and structure during ball milling and cycling process.The role of each phase in Ni/Al_(2)O_(3)/GN on the hydrogen storage performance of MgH_(2)was also discussed through experiments and theoretical calculation,and the synergistic catalytic mechanism of Ni/Al_(2)O_(3)/GN was clearly elaborated.This work provides a unique perspective for the preparation of highly stable and highly dispersible catalysts.展开更多
Substantial progress has been made in China in using traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)to treat acquired immune deficiency syndrome(AIDS).Our objective was to review the latest developments in TCM treatment of AIDS in ...Substantial progress has been made in China in using traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)to treat acquired immune deficiency syndrome(AIDS).Our objective was to review the latest developments in TCM treatment of AIDS in China between 2004 and 2014.We reviewed the content of original articles investigating the efficacy and safety of TCM for treating AIDS published in Chinese and English language journals.Relevant references from 2004 to 2014 were found using PubMed and the China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database.We found that TCM has been widely used for treating AIDS and its complications in China.The number of TCM studies has increased,which indicates efficacy and safety.Measures of efficacy in the reviewed articles included the alleviation of human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)-related signs and symptoms,improvements in quality of life,improvements in long-term survival,counteraction of the adverse side effects of antiviral drugs,promotion of immune reconstitution,and improvement of laboratory results.In sum,the literature indicates that TCM is safe.TCM plays an important role in the treatment of AIDS.Some studies have attempted to measure the efficacy and safety of TCM for treating AIDS,but more evidence is needed.Therefore,more research on this topic is required in the future.展开更多
