Methods: 145 patients diagnosed as CSNRT were randomized into 3 groups: combined treatment group, EA group, and cervical traction (CT) group. The combined group was treated with traction followed by EA of Dazhui (大椎 GV 14), Fengchi (风池 GB 20), cervical Jiaji (夹脊 EX-B 2), etc.. Patients of two control groups were only treated by either CT or EA. Results: The markedly-effective rate and total effective rate were 76.0% and 94.0% respectively in the combined treatment group, 62.5% and 81.25% respectively in CT group, and 63.82% and 82.97% respectively in EA group. The therapeutic effect of the combined treatment group was significantly superior to that of two control groups (P<0.05). At 6-month follow-up, the above two markedly-effective and total effective rates in the combined treatment group remained 74.0% and 92.0%, still significantly higher than that in two control groups. Conclusion: Combining cervicle traction with EA treatment can effectively eliminate or relieve the symptoms and signs in patients with nerve root type cervical spondylopathy.展开更多

Among various types of cervical spondylopathy, the one involving the vertebral arteries is frequently encountered in the middle-aged and the old people. It is often accompanied with arteriosclerosis and high blood viscosity, and clinically it is difficult to be treated. From March 1996 to December 2000, the authors hadtreated 72 cases of cervical spondylopathy of this type and achieved satisfactory therapeutic effects shown by clinical symptoms and indicated by the trans-cranial Doppler ultrasonic examination (TCD). This is reported as follows.

Amplitudes of N 9, N 11 , N 13 , N 20 and intervals of N 9-N 13 , N 13 -N 20 and N 9-N 20 of SEP were used as indexes. After 3 courses of treatment, the clinical therapeutic effect of EA group was significantly superior to that of control group (P<0.01); the amplitudes of the aforementioned components of SEP in both groups increased apparently while the interpeak latency shortened in different degrees. In EA group, the increased values of various components of SEP amplitude, except for N 9, were all larger than those of control group (P<0.05 for N 11 , P<0.01 for N 13 and N 20 ); the values of shortened latency of different components, except for N 13 -N 20 , were all larger than those of control group (P<0.01 for N 9-N 13 and N 9-N 20 ). It suggests that SEP possess a certain significance in diagnosis and evaluation of CS and can be used as one of the objective indexes for evaluation of the therapeutic effect.展开更多

Methods: A total of 54 cases of vertebroartery type cervical spondylopathy patients were observed in the present study. Fengfu (GV 16) and Jiaji (EX B 2) near the regenerated cervical vertebral body were used for injection of Ligustrazine injectio, 1 mL every acupoint, once every other day, with 7 sessions being a therapeutic course. Before and after treatment, cerebral blood flow volume was determined using a Doppler velocimeter. Results: After 2 weeks’ treatment, of the 54 cases, 28 (51.9%) had their vertigo disappeared, 13 (24.1%) had remarkable improvement, 10 (18.5%) had improvement and 3 (5.5%) failed in the treatment, with an effective rate of 94.5%. After treatment, the peak and mean values of the blood flow velocity of the bilateral vertebral arteries and the basilar artery increased significantly in comparison with pre treatment ( P <0.01). Conclusion: Hydro acupuncture therapy has an obvious therapeutic effect for relieving vertebroartery type vertigo and ameliorating cerebral blood supply.展开更多

文摘In order to study the significance of somesthetic evoked potentials (SEP) in diagnosis of cervical spondylopathy (CS) and judgement of its therapeutic effect, a total of 60 cases of CS patients were randomly divided into electroacupuncture (EA) group (n=30) and control (traction) group (n=30). Amplitudes of N 9, N 11 , N 13 , N 20 and intervals of N 9-N 13 , N 13 -N 20 and N 9-N 20 of SEP were used as indexes. It suggests that SEP possess a certain significance in diagnosis and evaluation of CS and can be used as one of the objective indexes for evaluation of the therapeutic effect.

文摘Objective: To observe the clinical effect of warm needling moxibustion plus acupoint sticking therapy for cervical radiculopathy. Methods: A total of 120 cases were allocated into an observation group, a warm needling group and an acupoint sticking group according to the random number table, with 40 cases in each group. Cases in the observation group received warm needling moxibustion plus acupoint sticking therapy;cases in the warm needling group received the same warm needling moxibustion in the observation group;cases in the acupoint sticking group received the same acupoint sticking therapy in the observation group. The scores of Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) and visual analog scale (VAS) were recorded before and after treatment. Results: The total effective rate was 95.0% in the observation group, versus 77.5% in the warm needling group and 75.0% in the acupoint sticking group (both P<0.05). Inter-group differences in JOA and VAS between the observation group and the other two groups were statistically significant (all P<0.05). Conclusion: Warm needling moxibustion plus acupoint sticking therapy is effective in treating cervical radiculopathy, and it can significantly alleviate pain and enhance clinical efficacy, and thus is worth clinical popularization.
文摘Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and eligibility of thumb-tack needle therapy based on meridian differentiation in treating cervical radiculopathy. Methods:A total of 70 patients with cervical radiculopathy were randomized into an observation group and a control group, with 35 cases in each group.Patients in the control group received thumb-tack needle based on conventional point selection, while those in the observation group received thumb-tack needle according to meridian differentiation. The visual analog scale(VAS)and clinical symptom scores in the two groups were compared before and after treatment, and the clinical efficacy of the two treatments was observed. Results:After treatment, the VAS score in both groups dropped significantly(both P<0.01),and the VAS score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.01).The clinical symptoms score in both groups dropped significantly(all P<0.01),and the clinical symptoms score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.01).The total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Thumb-tack needle therapy based on meridian differentiation can reduce pain score, improve clinical symptoms in patients with cervical radiculopathy, and produce more significant efficacy compared with conventional thumb-tack needle therapy.

文摘This paper is a summary of clinical studies on auricular acupoint penetration needling along the skin for treatment of pain and dysfunction in recent 10 years.Auricular acupoint penetration needling along the skin was used to observe rapid analgesic effects and clinical efficacy on cervical spondylopathy, periarthritis of shoulder, pain in waist and lower extremities, migraine, and other peripheral neuropathic pain, and stroke sequels, soft tissue injury, and so on.Self-control method was used in the studies at the first stage, and clinically randomized control trial methodwas used for systematic comparison with other therapies at the second stage. Results indicated that the auricular acupoint penetration needling along the skin had obviously clinical effects on cervical spondylopathy, periarthritis of shoulder, pain in waist and lower extremities, migraine, soft tissue injuries and stroke sequels, with a better rapid analgesic effect as compared with ear perpendicular needling method.
