The result indicates that the flake-like powders are obtained. As milling time increases, the flake-like powder particles tend to agglomerate, causing the flake-like powders decrease gradually. The milling time plays an important role in the electromagnetic parameters which relates to the shape and size of the powder particles. The calculation shows that the sample milled for 6 h could achieve an optimal reflection loss of -11.5 dB at 5.8 GHz, with mass fraction of 83 % and a matching thickness of 1.8 mm. 文摘Electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorbing materials play a vital role in modern communication and information processing technologies to inhibit information leakage and prevent possible damages to environment and human bodies.Currently, most of EMW absorbing materials are either composites of two or more phases or in the form of nanosheets, nanowires or nanofibers in order to enhance the EMW absorption performance through dielectric loss, magnetic loss and dielectric/magnetic loss coupling. However, the combination of complex shapes/multi phases and nanosizes may compound the difficulties of materials processing, composition and interfaces control as well as performance maintenance during service. Thus, searching for single phase materials with good stability and superior EMW absorbing properties is appealing. To achieve this goal, the EMW absorbing properties of transition metal carbides TMCs(TM=Ti,Zr,Hf,Nb and Ta)and high entropy(Ti_(0.2)Zr_(0.2)Hf_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2))C which belong to ultrahigh temperature ceramics, were investigated in this work.Due to the good electrical conductivity and splitting of d orbitals into lower energy t2glevel and higher energy eglevel in TMC6octahedral arrangement,TMCs(TM=Ti,Zr,Hf,Nb and Ta)exhibit good EMW absorbing properties.Especially,Hf C and Ta C exhibit superior EMW absorbing properties. The minimum reflection loss(RLmin)value of Hf C is-55.8 d B at 6.0 GHz with the thickness of 3.8 mm and the effective absorption bandwidth(E_(AB))is 6.0 GHz from 12.0 to 18.0 GHz at thickness of 1.9 mm;the RL_(minvalue)of Ta C reaches-41.1 d B at 16.2 GHz with a thickness of 2.0 mm and the EABis 6.1 GHz with a thickness of 2.2 mm.Intriguingly, the electromagnetic parameters,i.e.,complex permittivity and permeability are tunable by forming single phase solid solution or high entropy(Ti_(0.2)Zr_(0.2)Hf_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2))C.The R_(Lminvalue)of high entropy(Ti_(0.2)Zr_(0.2)Hf_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2))C is-38.5 d B at 9.5 GHz with the thickness of 1.9 mm,and the EABis 2.3 GHz(from 11.3 to 13.6 GHz)at thickness of 1.5 mm.The significance of this work is that it opens a new window to design single phase high performance EMW absorbing materials by dielectric/magnetic loss coupling through tuning the conductivity and crystal field splitting energy of d orbitals of transition metals in carbides, nitrides and possibly borides.

文摘The ErxHo(2-x)Fe(17)(x = 0.0, 0.1,0.2, 0.3, 0.4) powders were prepared by arc melting and high energy ball milling method. The influence of the Er substitution on phase structure, morphology, saturation magnetization, electromagnetic parameters was investigated by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM), vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM) and vector network analyzer(VNA),respectively. The results show that the saturation magnetization increases and the average particle size increases with the increase of Er content. The minimum absorption peak frequency shifts towards a lower frequency region with the increase of Er content. The ErxHo2-xFe17 powder can achieve the minimum RL of-24.07 dB at 6.96 GHz with a thickness of 2.0 mm and the minimum RL is less than-20 dB at the thickness range from 2.0 to 3.0 mm. The minimum RL of ErxHo2-xFe17 is-37.26 dB at5.68 GHz and the frequency bandwidth of R〈-10 dB reaches about 1.2 GHz with a thickness of 2.4 mm.And the microwave absorbing properties of the composite with different weight ratios of Er0.3Ho1.7Fe17/graphene were researched. The microwave absorbing peaks of the composite shift to lower frequency with the increase of graphene content. The values of the minimum RL of ErxHo2-xFe17/graphene are close to-10 dB with absorbing coating thicknesses increased.

文摘In this paper, the effect of Ba^(2+)ions A-site doping LaFeO_(3)on structure, magnetic properties and microwave absorption properties was investigated by the sol-gel method.According to the TEM and FullProf refinement results, the structure of LaFeO_(3)changes from orthogonal(SG:Pnma)to cubic(SG:Pm-3 m)when the Ba doping amount is x=0.4.The SEM image shows that the particles size tends to decrease with the increase of Ba content. The production of weak ferromagnetism indicates that Ba doping has a significant effect on the magnetic properties of LaFeO_(3).The Neel temperature(TN)decreases significantly with the increase of Ba doping amount. An appropriate amount of Ba doping can effectively increase the dielectric and magnetic loss of LaFeO_(3)ceramics powders. The increase permittivity(ε’andε″)may be attributed to the hopping of the electrons between the Fe^(3+)and Fe^(4+)ions with the Ba^(2+)ions doping. The minimum reflection loss(RL_(min))of La_(0.9)Ba_(0.1)FeO_(3)at 6.72 GHz reaches-30.04 dB,its effective bandwidth(RL≤-10 dB)is 2.1 GHz,and the matching thickness is only 3.2 mm.These results indicate that Ba doping can effectively control the microwave absorption properties of LaFeO_(3),especially in the Cband.

文摘The polycrystalline samples PrNi5_xCox (x=0.0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4) were synthesized by arc smelting and high energy ball milling method. The phase structure, morphology, saturation magnetization and electromagnetic parameters of the alloy powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), vibrating sample magnetomctry (VSM) and vector network analyzer (VNA), respectively. The results revealed that the lattice parameter a and c and unit-cell volume V increased with the increasing amount of Co substitution. The saturation magnetization increased as Co content increased. The minimum absorp- tion peak frequency shifted towards lower frequency region with the increasing amount of Co substitution. And the minimum reflec- tion loss of the PrNi5 xCox powders increased first and then decreased with the increasing amount of Co substitution. The PrNisCox alloys possessed the excellent microwave absorbing properties. The minimum reflection loss of the PrNi4.gCo0,1 alloy all could reach 20.0 all3 with the coating thickness ranging from 1.8 to 3 ram. The minimum reflection loss of PrNi4.gCoo.l powders was -36.20 d13 at 7.76 GHz, and the frequency bandwidth ofR〈10 dB reached about 1.50 GHz with the best matching condition d=2.0 ram.

文摘FeGa alloy is a new kind of magnetostrictive material, and rare-earth cerium can improve its magnetostrictive property.(Fe(81)Ga(19))(100-x)Cex(x = 0, 0.3 at%, 0.7 at%, 1 at%) samples were prepared by doping cerium in Fe(81)Ga(19) alloy. Their microstructures and phases were studied, and valence electronic structures were investigated. Electromagnetic parameters, such as coercivity, saturation magnetization, remnant magnetization and saturation magnetostrictive coefficients(λs) of every sample were measured.Cerium atoms are distributed at grain boundaries, and the Ce-doped alloys remain the A2 structure of FeGa alloy. When x is 0.7, the value of saturation magnetism is 217.08 emu/g, which is the maximum in the Ce-doped samples. The equivalent half length of single bond is the maximum also, and reaches to0.11380 nm. At the same time, the number of covalent electrons is 3.5672, and is the minimum of the Cedoped samples. Its As is the largest in the four samples. The change of As results in the change of equivalent half length of single bond in Ce-doped alloy.
