Coupling coordination analysis of Mazu culture,socio-economy and ecological environment of Meizhou Island

Taking the pilgrimage,tourism and cultural island of Meizhou Island as an example,the evaluation index system of the coupling and coordinated development of“Mazu culture,socio-economy,eco-environment”(MSE)compound system was constructed.The index weights were determined by AHP-entropy method,and the coupling degree,coordinated degree,comprehensive evaluation index and grey correlation degree of MSE system of Mazu Island from 2012 to 2022 were measure.The results showed that:(1)the comprehensive evaluation indexes of the three subsystems was on the rise in general,but the evaluation index of the ecological subsystems increased relatively slowly.(2)The coupling degree was only in the running-in stage in 2012,and the other years were in the coordinated coupling stage.(3)The coupling coordination degree increased from 0.35 in 2012 to 0.82 in 2022,the coupling coordination level was changed from mild imbalance to good coordination.(4)Through the comparison of grey correlation degree,the 24 indexes in the evaluation index system had great influence on the coupling coordination degree of MSE system.The coupling coordination degree was closely related to the development of socio-economy and the spread of Mazu culture.With the rapid development of tourism brought about by the spread of Mazu culture,the pressure on the ecological environment will be increasing.Compared with the rapid growth of tourism and economy,it is equally important to strengthen environmental protection and pay attention to the quality of ecological environment development. 展开更多

Dongtian Park is a forest park in Dongtian Lake Ecological Tourism Resort in Meizhou City,South China.Through investigation and analysis of sample methods of the forest community structure and plant diversity in this park,the results showed that there were 181 plant species,belonging to 138 genera in 76 families,including 48 trees,60 shrubs,36 herbs and 37 lianas.The flora is a subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest with some distinct tropical properties,and evergreen trees accounted for 48.62%of total plant species.The dominant species in the tree layer were Schima superba,Pinus massoniana,Cinnamomum parthenoxylon,etc.,and those in the shrub layer were Bambusa textilis,Aidia cochinchinensis,Rhaphiolepis indica,etc.,and in herb layer were Carex baccans,Adiantum flabellulatum,Cibotium barometz,etc.,and the lianas mainly included Smilax hypoglauca,Callerya dielsiana,Trachelospermum jasminoides,etc.There were few adults of dominant species in the tree layer,S.superba and P.massoniana also lacked seedlings,they would still maintain their dominant position for a quite long period,but Cyclobalanopsis neglecta had sufficient seedling reserves and would be most likely to become a dominant species in future.The community had relatively rich species,many ferns and lianas and complex hierarchy.The evenness,Shannon-Wiener diversity,Pielou uniformity and Simpson index were higher in the shrub layer than in the tree and herb layer,and the Simpson index was the lowest(0.9280)in the herb layer and Shannon-Wiener diversity index was the highest(7.5853)in the liana layer. 展开更多

The result showed that oil concentration ranges between 5—51 μg/dm 3 with an average of 19 8 μg/dm 3. The mixed coefficient is lower. The difference of oil distribution between high tide and low tide is related to the distribution of land pollution and is mainly decided by water dynamics. Average turn over rate and enrichment coefficient can provide fundamental information to estimate oil concentration in sea water. 展开更多

The current situation of biotic communities in Meizhou Bay is presented in this paper.The species composition,seasonal variation,and distribution of phytoplankton,zooplankton, red tide organisms,fishes,and benthos in Meizhou Bay were investigated,and the content of chlorophyll a and primary production and their seasonal variation were also determined.The water quality of Meizhou Bay was monitored by measuring the density of Escherichia coli. Results reveal that there is a great variety of species in Meizhou Bay and the water in Meizhou Bay is oligotrophic.But the individual numbers of various organisms are very low, especially those of algae.Moreover,there are more than 40 species of red tide organisms and there exist opportunities of red tides between May and November.All these demand cautious be taken in the future development of this area although it has great environment capacity. 展开更多

The present paper reports Zn,Cu,Pb,Cd,Ni,Fe,Mn and Co contents in the tissues of oyster,solen,red-tail prawn,sea eel and kelp,taken from Meizhou Bay(and analysed by flame atomicabsorption spectrophotometry after wet digestion)in June 1992,and also the concentration factors esti-mated from the mean metal concentrations in the organisms and water there.Heavy metal concentrationsin every species of the organisms followed the pattern:Fe,Mn,Cu,Zn】Pb,Cd,Ni,Co and in variousorganisms showed considerable variation.In general,levels of most of these metals were in the order:softtissues of the bivalves】the kelp】muscles of the red-tail prawn,the sea eel.The greatest concentrationof most metals was found in the gill or viscera of the sea eel,whereas the muscle tissues,in general,con-tained only low concentrations of them.The Cu,Zn concentration factors of the oyster were higher by1—2 orders of magnitude than that of the other organisms.The observed heavy metal levels were closeto those reported from various 展开更多

Meizhou City is the second largest prefecture-level city of pomelo production in China,where the cultivating area is up to 40 000 ha and the yield is over 900 000 t. With the expansion of industry scale,there were bottlenecks of pomelo industry in Meizhou City including industrial restructuring and upgrading. The paper analyzed the development status and existing problems of pomelo industry based on investigation and survey. Characteristics of Cloud-to-ground Lightning during a Local Rainstorm in Meizhou City

Based on cloud-to-ground lightning data of lightning location system,Doppler radar data,and precipitation data of regional automatic weather stations,the characteristics of cloud-to-ground lightning during a local rainstorm on June 4,2016 in Meizhou City were analyzed. The results showed that the spatial distribution of cloud-to-ground lightning from 14: 00 to 20: 00 on June 4,2016 in Meizhou City had obvious local characteristics,and the proportion of negative lightning was larger than that of positive lightning( only 16. 8%). The concentration period of positive lightning coincided with that of cloud-to-ground lightning. The peak of proportion of positive lightning lagged behind the peak of cloud-to-ground lightning,and appeared in the late period of thunderstorm disappearance. The dense area of cloud-to-ground lightning and the area with heavy rainfall coincided with the area with strong radar echoes. Doppler weather radar data had the feature of the headwind zone,strong combined reflectivity,vertical height of strong echoes,high echo top,and fast radial movement. The peak of cloud-to-ground lightning appeared one hour earlier than that of precipitation. There was no significant correlation between the frequency of cloud-to-ground lightning and precipitation. The peak of negative lightning corresponded to that of positive lightning,and cloud-to-ground lightning ended earlier than rainfall. After the peak of precipitation,convective system rapidly weakened and disappeared. Precipitation and the frequency of cloud-to-ground lightning fluctuated frequently during the whole process. The jumps and peaks of negative lightning were indicative of rainfall changes. 展开更多

Based on the cloud-to-ground( CG) lightning flashes data and other related data from 1999 to 2016,the lightning risk zoning of Meizhou was conducted by using the analytic hierarchy process( AHP) model. The model considered the natural conditions,social economic conditions and other factors,and the main assessment factors were selected,containing " flash density,lightning current intensity,annual thunderstorm days,lightning disaster frequency,construction area per capita and GDP per capita",in order to establish the evaluation model,and divide the level of risk. The results showed that the lightning risk in Meizhou area roughly had the trend of " center higher than all-around,the south higher than the north,the west higher than the east". High-risk area was in the most region of Meijiang District and central region of Meixian District,and Wuhua County was next high-risk area. Xingning City and Fengshun County were medium risk areas,most of the other were low risk area. The result of regionalization was consistent with the actual situation,and the evaluation method was scientific and effective. Through the analysis of the lightning risk zoning,this paper could provide a scientific basis for the lightning protection and disaster reduction in the region in the future. 展开更多

模拟和分析生境质量的时空变化规律能够给重点生态功能区的生态保护和土地资源可以持续利用提供依据。基于2000—2020年梅州市土地利用数据,用InVEST模型、Morans’I指数、PLUS模型研究梅州市生境质量时空演变特征,并预测2030年、2040年... 模拟和分析生境质量的时空变化规律能够给重点生态功能区的生态保护和土地资源可以持续利用提供依据。基于2000—2020年梅州市土地利用数据,用InVEST模型、Morans’I指数、PLUS模型研究梅州市生境质量时空演变特征,并预测2030年、2040年、2050年自然发展、耕地保护、城镇发展、生态保护情景的生境质量。结果表明:(1)2000—2020年梅州市林地面积占比第一,建设用地逐年增加,草地面积逐年下降,林地面积先增加后下降。(2)梅州市生境质量为中等水平且两极分化趋势明显,高和较高生境质量总面积与较低和低总面积占比均约为43%。(3)2020—2050年,所有4种发展情景中高生境质量面积占比均呈现下降趋势,但在生态保护情景下,其减少幅度最小且生境质量指数得以维持稳定,表明生态保护是梅州市实现可持续发展的最优选。 展开更多

Reclamation projects are the main method of coastal exploitation,and the hydrodynamic environmental effect,together with the sediment transport response of the reclamation project,is important to the project’s site selection and environmental protection.Herein,a 3D numerical model based on the finite volume community ocean model(FVCOM)is applied to simulate the changes in the Meizhou Bay’s hydrodynamic environment and sediment transport after a reclamation project.The reclamation project greatly alters the shape of the shoreline and narrows the bay,leading to a significant change in its hydrodynamic environment and sediment transport.After the project,the clockwise coastal residual current in the corner above the Meizhou Island gradually disappears.An obvious counter-clockwise coastal residual current emerges around the rectangular corner.The tidal prism decreases by 0.65×10^9 and 0.44×10^9 m^3 in the spring and neap tides,respectively.The residence time presents a major increase.These changes lead to the weakening of the water exchange capacity and the reduction of the self-purification capacity of the bay.Currents in the tidal channel weaken,whilst currents in the horizontal channel strengthen.The strength and scope of particle trajectories around the horizontal channel and the Meizhou Island enhance.The suspended sediment concentration(SSC)increases in the majority of the Meizhou Bay but decreases in the lateral bay.The eastern corner of Z2 shows a tendency to erode.The western region of the Meizhou Island,the upper portion of the rectangular corner and the western corner of Z4 show a tendency to deposit.The reclamation project increases the maximum storm surges by 0.06 m and decreases the maximum significant wave heights by 0.09 m. 展开更多
