Amongthem, the hybrid network system architecture which is thedistributed configuration combining with the centralized cognition and its soft/hardware framework with the sense-detectionintegration are proposed, and the information processing framebased on the lens principle and its information processing flowwith receive-transmit joint adaption are designed, which buildand parse the work law for cognition and its self feedback adjustment with the lens focus model and five stages informationprocessing sequence. After that, the system simulation andthe performance analysis and comparison are provided, whichinitially proves the rationality and advantages of the proposedideas. Finally, four important development ideas of futureSWOTHR toward "high frequency intelligence information processing system" are discussed, which are scene information fusion, dynamic reconfigurable system, hierarchical and modulardesign, and sustainable development. The original concept of guided fantasies as a monolin...The paper reports on a study of young L2 (second language) English learners' dual code use as activated through a series of specially designed guided fantasies. The original concept of guided fantasies as a monolingually organised relaxation technique was extended to the area of bilingual reception and production. The goal was to examine the relationship between child imaginative faculty and a tendency to transfer understandings across the L1 (first language) and L2. The research consisted in exposing a class of I 0 nine-year-old children to eight guided fantasies expected to playfully attract their conscious attention to language properties and enable them to profit from L1 knowledge in L2 learning. The data were collected through the heuristically oriented qualitative study drawing on participant observation accompanied by field notes and recordings of student behaviours. The findings highlighted guided fantasies in their redefined form as a useful tool for encouraging young learners to rely on L 1 competence in making sense of L2 underlying principles.展开更多
Collagen,characteristic in biomimetic composition and hierarchical structure,boasts a huge potential in repairing cartilage defect due to its extraordinary bioactivities and regulated physicochemical properties,such a...Collagen,characteristic in biomimetic composition and hierarchical structure,boasts a huge potential in repairing cartilage defect due to its extraordinary bioactivities and regulated physicochemical properties,such as low immunogenicity,biocompatibility and controllable degradation,which promotes the cell adhesion,migration and proliferation.Therefore,collagen-based biomaterial has been explored as porous scaffolds or functional coatings in cell-free scaffold and tissue engineering strategy for cartilage repairing.Among those forming technologies,freeze-dry is frequently used with special modifications while 3D-printing and electrospinning serve as the structure-controller in a more precise way.Besides,appropriate cross-linking treatment and incorporation with bioactive substance generally help the collagen-based biomaterials to meet the physicochemical requirement in the defect site and strengthen the repairing performance.Furthermore,comprehensive evaluations on the repair effects of biomaterials are sorted out in terms of in vitro,in vivo and clinical assessments,focusing on the morphology observation,characteristic production and critical gene expression.Finally,the challenge of biomaterial-based therapy for cartilage defect repairing was summarized,which is,the adaption to the highly complex structure and functional difference of cartilage.展开更多
Impaired structure and function of the hippocampus is a valuable predictor of progression from amnestic mild cognitive impairment(a MCI) to Alzheimer's disease(AD). As a part of the medial temporal lobe memory sy...Impaired structure and function of the hippocampus is a valuable predictor of progression from amnestic mild cognitive impairment(a MCI) to Alzheimer's disease(AD). As a part of the medial temporal lobe memory system,the hippocampus is one of the brain regions affected earliest by AD neuropathology,and shows progressive degeneration as a MCI progresses to AD. Currently,no validated biomarkers can precisely predict the conversion from a MCI to AD. Therefore,there is a great need of sensitive tools for the early detection of AD progression. In this review,we summarize the specifi c structural and functional changes in the hippocampus from recent a MCI studies using neurophysiological and neuroimaging data. We suggest that a combination of advanced multi-modal neuroimaging measures in discovering biomarkers will provide more precise and sensitive measures of hippocampal changes than using only one of them. These will potentially affect early diagnosis and disease-modifying treatments. We propose a new sequential and progressive framework in which the impairment spreads from the integrity of fibers to volume and then to function in hippocampal subregions. Meanwhile,this is likely to be accompanied by progressive impairment of behavioral and neuropsychological performance in the progression of a MCI to AD.展开更多
Accurate knowledge of who knows whom in organizations have important benefits for individual work performance and managerial decision making,but people are not very accurate when recalling connections among others in ...Accurate knowledge of who knows whom in organizations have important benefits for individual work performance and managerial decision making,but people are not very accurate when recalling connections among others in their social networks.The present study investigates how holisticanalytic thinking styles influence the extent people can accurately perceive network relationships and choose the right persons to form a coalition in a fictious persuasive task We focused on two dimensions of holistic-analytic thinking style,namely attention to field(as opposed to parts)and interactionist(as opposed to dispositionist)causal theory Results from 281 participants reveals that while individuals with greater attention to field were more accurate in recalling relationships in asocial network those inclined toward interactionism in causal theory were less accurate Furthermore,greater attention to field enhanced the effectiveness of coalition member selection,in part through the mediationof accurate network perception;while interactionism,via the full mediation of network perception,indirectly led to less effective coalition choice.展开更多
