In order to compensate for the deficiency of present methods of monitoring plane displacement in similarity model tests,such as inadequate real-time monitoring and more manual intervention,an effective monitoring meth...In order to compensate for the deficiency of present methods of monitoring plane displacement in similarity model tests,such as inadequate real-time monitoring and more manual intervention,an effective monitoring method was proposed in this study,and the major steps of the monitoring method include:firstly,time-series images of the similarity model in the test were obtained by a camera,and secondly,measuring points marked as artificial targets were automatically tracked and recognized from time-series images.Finally,the real-time plane displacement field was calculated by the fixed magnification between objects and images under the specific conditions.And then the application device of the method was designed and tested.At the same time,a sub-pixel location method and a distortion error model were used to improve the measuring accuracy.The results indicate that this method may record the entire test,especially the detailed non-uniform deformation and sudden deformation.Compared with traditional methods this method has a number of advantages,such as greater measurement accuracy and reliability,less manual intervention,higher automation,strong practical properties,much more measurement information and so on.展开更多

A location on one of the gussets was selected as the object point, where directional stresses were numerically simulated and also experimentally verified by a strain gage. Environmental loading and the platform's structural strength were analyzed in accordance with industrial standards, utilizing linear wave theory and the finite element method (FEM). The fast Fourier transform technique was used to calculate the stress response amplitude operators (RAO) from the records of measurements. A comparison was performed between the stress RAO of the numerical simulation and that of the actual measurements. The results indicated that the stress RAO of the numerical simulation fitted well with measured data at specified wave headings with different periods.展开更多

By measuring and monitoring the operational information of the IP telecommunication network, the feedback control-loops tune the network according to the trends of the traffic characteristics in order to gain a favorable network status. With theoretical analysis, it is concluded that the QoS o fan arbitrary k-class flow can be guaranteed when the capacity of the k-class traffic is not fully filled. Thus by distributing the bandwidth of the egress bottleneck link among the ingress links, the congestion can be relieved. Moreover, the capacity of each traffic class that shares the same link affects one another. Therefore, the feedback control also aims at adjusting the capacity proportion among the traffic classes. In order to realize the goals, three feedback control-loops are designed in the QoS management system. A CORBA-based implementation is deployed on the testbed .展开更多
