BACKGROUND Patients with BRAF V600E mutant metastatic colorectal cancer(mCRC)have a low incidence rate,poor biological activity,suboptimal response to conventional treatments,and a poor prognosis.In the previous cohor...BACKGROUND Patients with BRAF V600E mutant metastatic colorectal cancer(mCRC)have a low incidence rate,poor biological activity,suboptimal response to conventional treatments,and a poor prognosis.In the previous cohort study on mCRC conducted by our team,it was observed that integrated Chinese and Western medicine treatment could significantly prolong the overall survival(OS)of patients with colorectal cancer.Therefore,we further explored the survival benefits in the population with BRAF V600E mutant mCRC.AIM To evaluate the efficacy of integrated Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of BRAF V600E mutant metastatic colorectal cancer.METHODS A cohort study was conducted on patients with BRAF V600E mutant metastatic colorectal cancer admitted to Xiyuan Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region from January 2016 to December 2022.The patients were divided into two cohorts.RESULTS A total of 34 cases were included,with 23 in Chinese-Western medicine cohort(cohort A)and 11 in Western medicine cohort(cohort B).The median overall survival was 19.9 months in cohort A and 14.2 months in cohort B,with a statistically significant difference(P=0.038,hazard ratio=0.46).The 1-3-year survival rates were 95.65%(22/23),39.13%(9/23),and 26.09%(6/23)in cohort A,and 63.64%(7/11),18.18%(2/11),and 9.09%(1/11)in cohort B,respectively.Subgroup analysis showed statistically significant differences in median OS between the two cohorts in the right colon,liver metastasis,chemotherapy,and first-line treatment subgroups(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Integrated Chinese and Western medicine can prolong the survival and reduce the risk of death in patients with BRAF V600E mutant metastatic colorectal cancer,with more pronounced benefits observed in patients with right colon involvement,liver metastasis,combined chemotherapy,and first-line treatment.展开更多

The study aims to prove that game teaching approach as a commonly used teaching approach can motivate students' interest and assist English teaching if it is combined with vocabulary teaching properly. In the study, 70 students of Grade four were randomly chosen from Wenzhou Jingshan primary school as the subjects, class 1as the experimental group while Class 2 as the control one. The results show that game teaching approach applied in English vocabulary teaching can help students learn vocabulary more efficiently than traditional vocabulary teaching method.展开更多

These behaviors are greatly affected by social environment and individual factors. However, few studies explored the social determinants of schoolchildren's health behaviors. In this cross-sectional study, the social determinants of health behaviors were examined among both migrant and resident students in Beijing, China. Data of 967 children from six urban and suburban primary schools were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that less than 60% of children performed some healthy behaviors, although their health knowledge was generally good. Children's health behavior scores were greatly determined by school characteristics, health knowledge, demographic characteristics, and family context. Therefore, improving health education and conditions in primary schools is the priority to promote children's healthy behaviors, especially for disadvantaged children.展开更多

Results: The nurses' caring ability had significantly developed on total, cognition dimension, courage dimension and patience dimension after all measures considered (p 〈 0.05). Objective:This study aims to identify the knowledge,attitude,and behavior of students using eight indicators of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior(CHLB)in relation to the health education and grade levels in Islamic Bo...Objective:This study aims to identify the knowledge,attitude,and behavior of students using eight indicators of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior(CHLB)in relation to the health education and grade levels in Islamic Boarding Schools(IBS)in Jember regency,East Java Province,Indonesia.Methods:A cross-sectional school-based survey design was used.About 114 students(mean age of 13.17 years old)selected through a multi-stage random sampling completed a selfadministered questionnaire to measure the eight indicators of CHLB,such as washing hands with running water and soap,eating healthy snacks,using clean and healthy latrines,exercising regularly and measurably,eradicating mosquito larvae,not smoking at school,weighing and height measurement every 6 months,and disposing garbage properly.The data analyses included descriptive and comparative analyses of the difference in knowledge,attitude,and behavior toward CHLB by health education and grade level.Results:About 66.7% students received health education.Significant knowledge in CHLB in relation to health education and grade was observed(P<.05),including in-depth knowledge of exercises,measurable weight and height,smoking,and healthy latrines.Meanwhile,no significant difference was observed between the attitude toward CHLB and health education in different grade levels.Furthermore,CHLB was associated with health education,including habitual exercise and using of clean and healthy latrines.展开更多

Schools provide a good entry point for community malaria prevention and control. Aim: To assess the impact of HE campaign towards malaria prevention and control. Methods: We conducted a community-based trial (pre-post intervention study), in two randomly selected districts (rural and urban) of Taiz governorate. The sample size was calculated using Epi Info version7 to be 1065 pupils from 6th - 8th grades in randomly selected basic schools. Data was collected using questionnaire before and after the intervention (three months apart). χ2 was used to analyze differences. Results: Health education activities in schools were associated with the increased knowledge of malaria symptoms and methods of prevention from 24.5% to be 60.2% among pre and post intervention respectively, with statistically significant difference (p Conclusions and Recommendation: Health education intervention in schools had a positive impact on the knowledge and attitude of pupils. Objective:To assess the prevalence and associated factors of soil transmitted helminths(STHs)among Endemata primary school in North West Ethiopia,2021.Methods:A cross-sectional study with 195 school children was condu...Objective:To assess the prevalence and associated factors of soil transmitted helminths(STHs)among Endemata primary school in North West Ethiopia,2021.Methods:A cross-sectional study with 195 school children was conducted from May to July 2021 at Endemata primary school.The study participants were selected by using systematic random sampling technique.Stool samples were processed via direct wet mount and formol-ether concentration techniques.Data was entered by Epi-Dara version 3.1 and data analysis was done using SPSS version 20.0.Variables were considered to be statistically significant if P<0.05 at 95%confidence level.Results:The overall prevalence of STHs was 10.8%(95%CI 7.1-16.0).The prevalence of Ascaris lumbricoides,hookworm and Trichuris trichiura were 5.6%(95%CI 3.1-9.9),3.1%(95%CI 1.3-6.7)and 2.1%(95%CI 0.6-5.3),respectively.Grade 1-4 students were more likely to get infected with STHs as compared to grade 5-8 students(adjusted OR 4.7,95%CI 1.3-16.6).Students who did not have latrines at their home were at higher risk to develop STHs infection comparing with those who had latrine at their home(adjusted OR 5.0,95%CI 1.7-15.2).Similarly,the school children who did not wear shoes were more likely to be infected by STH parasite than those who did it(adjusted OR 6.3,95%CI 1.9-20.7).The odds of being infected by STH parasites in children who did not trim their fingernails were 4.9 as compared to those who did it(adjusted OR 4.9,95%CI 1.5-15.7).Conclusions:The prevalence of STHs among Endemata primary school children was low.Student grade level,latrine availability,shoes wear and nail status were significantly associated with STHs infection.Therefore,we recommend policy makers and stakeholders to follow the integration of deworming with water,hygiene and sanitation as well as the consistent health education of school children to control and prevent STH infections.展开更多

AIM:To investigate the effects of school-basedcomprehensive intervention on myopia development inelementary school children.METHODS:As a part of the Wenzhou Epidemiologyof Refraction Error Study,there were 1524 partic...AIM:To investigate the effects of school-basedcomprehensive intervention on myopia development inelementary school children.METHODS:As a part of the Wenzhou Epidemiologyof Refraction Error Study,there were 1524 participatingelementary students(730 girls,47.9%)in grades 1 to3 from three campuses of one school,aged 7.3±0.9y,who were examined twice every year for a 2.5y follow upperiod.Comprehensive intervention and other reminderswere given at school every semester for the interventiongroup.The control group did not receive comprehensiveintervention and did not have reminders of it.RESULTS:There were 651 students in the interventiongroup[mean age 7.3±0.9y;294(45.2%)girls]and 737students in the control group[mean age 7.2±0.9y;346(46.9%)girls].Overall mean myopia progression duringthe 2.5y follow-up was-0.49±1.04 diopters(D)in theintervention group and-0.65±1.08 D in the control group(P=0.004).The majority that not get myopia at baselinespherical equivalent(SE≤-1.0 D).Their mean myopiaprogression during the 2.5y follow-up was-0.37±0.89 Din the intervention group and-0.51±0.93 D in the controlgroup(27.5%reduction,P=0.009);Overall,mean axiallength elongation was less in the intervention group(0.56±0.32 mm)than in the control group(0.61±0.38 mm,10.5%reduction,P=0.009).The percentage of close reading distance(<30 cm)in the intervention group was less than in the control group(73.4%vs 76.2%,P<0.001),the percentage of everyday perform eye exercises in the intervention group was more than in the control group(27.8%vs 20.7%,P<0.001)30mo later.CONCLUSION:The comprehensive intervention program at elementary school has a significant alleviating effect on myopia progression for children during the 2.5y follow-up,especially for those non-myopia at baseline.展开更多

文摘The“Ordinary High School Mathematics Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition,2020 Revision)”clearly stated in“Teaching Suggestions”that“teaching activities based on the core literacy of mathematics should grasp the essence of mathematics,create appropriate teaching situations,put forward appropriate mathematical questions,stimulate students to think and communicate,and form and develop the core literacy of mathematics.”The task-driven teaching model is a new type of teaching method that takes tasks as the main line,teachers as the guide,and students as the main body,which can enable students to engage deeply in classroom discussions and think actively.Based on the characteristics and principles of the task-driven teaching method,this paper designs a high school mathematics classroom teaching based on the task-driven teaching method,hoping to provide a reference for the majority of front-line teachers.

文摘Learning progressions divide the logical system of a subject into ordered and continuously developing levels that are suitable for the cognitive development level of students,which plays an important role in understanding students’learning process.This paper focuses on the theme of“kinetic energy”in high school physics as the research object.Firstly,the concept map was used to represent the relationship between knowledge,and then five core concepts were selected based on the opinions of high school teachers.Secondly,the test tools were compiled and tested based on the relevant test questions.Finally,the paper analyzed the results based on the Rasch model,clarified students’cognitive development level of“kinetic energy”and constructed the learning progressions of“kinetic energy”based on the logical order of subject knowledge.The research provides theoretical and methodological support for the study of other subjects and learning progressions,and provides a valuable reference for high school teachers to effectively carry out the instruction of“kinetic energy.”

文摘BACKGROUND Patients with BRAF V600E mutant metastatic colorectal cancer(mCRC)have a low incidence rate,poor biological activity,suboptimal response to conventional treatments,and a poor prognosis.In the previous cohort study on mCRC conducted by our team,it was observed that integrated Chinese and Western medicine treatment could significantly prolong the overall survival(OS)of patients with colorectal cancer.Therefore,we further explored the survival benefits in the population with BRAF V600E mutant mCRC.AIM To evaluate the efficacy of integrated Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of BRAF V600E mutant metastatic colorectal cancer.METHODS A cohort study was conducted on patients with BRAF V600E mutant metastatic colorectal cancer admitted to Xiyuan Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region from January 2016 to December 2022.The patients were divided into two cohorts.RESULTS A total of 34 cases were included,with 23 in Chinese-Western medicine cohort(cohort A)and 11 in Western medicine cohort(cohort B).The median overall survival was 19.9 months in cohort A and 14.2 months in cohort B,with a statistically significant difference(P=0.038,hazard ratio=0.46).The 1-3-year survival rates were 95.65%(22/23),39.13%(9/23),and 26.09%(6/23)in cohort A,and 63.64%(7/11),18.18%(2/11),and 9.09%(1/11)in cohort B,respectively.Subgroup analysis showed statistically significant differences in median OS between the two cohorts in the right colon,liver metastasis,chemotherapy,and first-line treatment subgroups(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Integrated Chinese and Western medicine can prolong the survival and reduce the risk of death in patients with BRAF V600E mutant metastatic colorectal cancer,with more pronounced benefits observed in patients with right colon involvement,liver metastasis,combined chemotherapy,and first-line treatment.
文摘After the analysis of the beauty contained in motion vision, the paper had pointed out that motion vision was the link for spectators relating and communicating with aesthetic objects and decided landscape space construction sequence. It further analyzed the relations between architectural space and visual perception which could be divided into inner experience and external experience. By taking landscape space construction of Sichuan Olympic Sports School for example, based on the analysis of design principles and objective of landscape space, the paper had focused on the discussion of landscape concept in terms of motion vision. In the perspective of two-dimensional vision, landscape effects of White Pigeon Square and Bright Eyes Square had been introduced. In the perspective of three-dimensional vision, landscape effects of the Olympic Rings waterscape and the Olympic Rings gallery had been illustrated. Finally, based on the integration between landscapes and architectures under visual perception, the coordination between campus architectures and landscape construction in Olympic Sports School had been analyzed.
文摘Vocabulary is a key to English learning. How to memorize words effectively has become a heated topic among teachers and students. Since primary school is the initial stage of English learning, it is imperative to cultivate students' interest in English and find a useful way of learning vocabulary. The study aims to prove that game teaching approach as a commonly used teaching approach can motivate students' interest and assist English teaching if it is combined with vocabulary teaching properly. In the study, 70 students of Grade four were randomly chosen from Wenzhou Jingshan primary school as the subjects, class 1as the experimental group while Class 2 as the control one. The results show that game teaching approach applied in English vocabulary teaching can help students learn vocabulary more efficiently than traditional vocabulary teaching method.

文摘Childhood risky behaviors always result in adverse health outcomes. These behaviors are greatly affected by social environment and individual factors. However, few studies explored the social determinants of schoolchildren's health behaviors. In this cross-sectional study, the social determinants of health behaviors were examined among both migrant and resident students in Beijing, China. Data of 967 children from six urban and suburban primary schools were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that less than 60% of children performed some healthy behaviors, although their health knowledge was generally good. Children's health behavior scores were greatly determined by school characteristics, health knowledge, demographic characteristics, and family context. Therefore, improving health education and conditions in primary schools is the priority to promote children's healthy behaviors, especially for disadvantaged children.

文摘Objective: To understand the effect of humanistic nursing care model wards in Children Caring Ward School (CCWS) on the nurses' caring ability. Methods: Questionnaire 25 nurses of humanistic nursing care model wards in CCWS using the Nkongho Caring Ability Inventory (CAI) before and after implement the humanistic nursing care model, including reform the systems of nursing care, introduce humanistic care model, implement the humanistic care, to measure the nurses' caring ability. Results: The nurses' caring ability had significantly developed on total, cognition dimension, courage dimension and patience dimension after all measures considered (p 〈 0.05). Conclusions: The humanistic nursing care model wards in CCWS has a positive effect on the nurses' caring ability, not only to help build great relationships between nurses and patients but also to enhance the patients' satisfaction.

文摘Objective:This study aims to identify the knowledge,attitude,and behavior of students using eight indicators of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior(CHLB)in relation to the health education and grade levels in Islamic Boarding Schools(IBS)in Jember regency,East Java Province,Indonesia.Methods:A cross-sectional school-based survey design was used.About 114 students(mean age of 13.17 years old)selected through a multi-stage random sampling completed a selfadministered questionnaire to measure the eight indicators of CHLB,such as washing hands with running water and soap,eating healthy snacks,using clean and healthy latrines,exercising regularly and measurably,eradicating mosquito larvae,not smoking at school,weighing and height measurement every 6 months,and disposing garbage properly.The data analyses included descriptive and comparative analyses of the difference in knowledge,attitude,and behavior toward CHLB by health education and grade level.Results:About 66.7% students received health education.Significant knowledge in CHLB in relation to health education and grade was observed(P<.05),including in-depth knowledge of exercises,measurable weight and height,smoking,and healthy latrines.Meanwhile,no significant difference was observed between the attitude toward CHLB and health education in different grade levels.Furthermore,CHLB was associated with health education,including habitual exercise and using of clean and healthy latrines.
文摘Background: Malaria is one of the main health problems in Yemen. School-age children represent 25% of Yemen’s population and an increased proportion of these children are going to school. Schools provide a good entry point for community malaria prevention and control. Aim: To assess the impact of HE campaign towards malaria prevention and control. Methods: We conducted a community-based trial (pre-post intervention study), in two randomly selected districts (rural and urban) of Taiz governorate. The sample size was calculated using Epi Info version7 to be 1065 pupils from 6th - 8th grades in randomly selected basic schools. Data was collected using questionnaire before and after the intervention (three months apart). χ2 was used to analyze differences. Results: Health education activities in schools were associated with the increased knowledge of malaria symptoms and methods of prevention from 24.5% to be 60.2% among pre and post intervention respectively, with statistically significant difference (p Conclusions and Recommendation: Health education intervention in schools had a positive impact on the knowledge and attitude of pupils. We recommend conducting health education activities to improve the role of school pupils in malaria prevention.
文摘Objective:To assess the prevalence and associated factors of soil transmitted helminths(STHs)among Endemata primary school in North West Ethiopia,2021.Methods:A cross-sectional study with 195 school children was conducted from May to July 2021 at Endemata primary school.The study participants were selected by using systematic random sampling technique.Stool samples were processed via direct wet mount and formol-ether concentration techniques.Data was entered by Epi-Dara version 3.1 and data analysis was done using SPSS version 20.0.Variables were considered to be statistically significant if P<0.05 at 95%confidence level.Results:The overall prevalence of STHs was 10.8%(95%CI 7.1-16.0).The prevalence of Ascaris lumbricoides,hookworm and Trichuris trichiura were 5.6%(95%CI 3.1-9.9),3.1%(95%CI 1.3-6.7)and 2.1%(95%CI 0.6-5.3),respectively.Grade 1-4 students were more likely to get infected with STHs as compared to grade 5-8 students(adjusted OR 4.7,95%CI 1.3-16.6).Students who did not have latrines at their home were at higher risk to develop STHs infection comparing with those who had latrine at their home(adjusted OR 5.0,95%CI 1.7-15.2).Similarly,the school children who did not wear shoes were more likely to be infected by STH parasite than those who did it(adjusted OR 6.3,95%CI 1.9-20.7).The odds of being infected by STH parasites in children who did not trim their fingernails were 4.9 as compared to those who did it(adjusted OR 4.9,95%CI 1.5-15.7).Conclusions:The prevalence of STHs among Endemata primary school children was low.Student grade level,latrine availability,shoes wear and nail status were significantly associated with STHs infection.Therefore,we recommend policy makers and stakeholders to follow the integration of deworming with water,hygiene and sanitation as well as the consistent health education of school children to control and prevent STH infections.
文摘Modern buildings and blocks in open port city, which are an essential part of the urban context, possess unspoken values of material properties and cultural resources for the urban future. According to the investigation of Taiyanggou Block and Lvshun Industrial School Site in Lvshun (China), this paper aims to discuss the understanding and conservation of modern heritage. Firstly, it interprets the opening of modern Lvshun and the formation of Taiyanggou Block to provide the fundamental knowledge. After a brief introduction of Lvshun Industrial School Site, the paper analyzes the problems in conservation practice and proposes countermeasures on heritage management and reuse strategy. Finally, it indicates that to conserve modern heritage means to preserve and to enhance their integrated values of space and culture in the framework of local development.

文摘AIM:To investigate the effects of school-basedcomprehensive intervention on myopia development inelementary school children.METHODS:As a part of the Wenzhou Epidemiologyof Refraction Error Study,there were 1524 participatingelementary students(730 girls,47.9%)in grades 1 to3 from three campuses of one school,aged 7.3±0.9y,who were examined twice every year for a 2.5y follow upperiod.Comprehensive intervention and other reminderswere given at school every semester for the interventiongroup.The control group did not receive comprehensiveintervention and did not have reminders of it.RESULTS:There were 651 students in the interventiongroup[mean age 7.3±0.9y;294(45.2%)girls]and 737students in the control group[mean age 7.2±0.9y;346(46.9%)girls].Overall mean myopia progression duringthe 2.5y follow-up was-0.49±1.04 diopters(D)in theintervention group and-0.65±1.08 D in the control group(P=0.004).The majority that not get myopia at baselinespherical equivalent(SE≤-1.0 D).Their mean myopiaprogression during the 2.5y follow-up was-0.37±0.89 Din the intervention group and-0.51±0.93 D in the controlgroup(27.5%reduction,P=0.009);Overall,mean axiallength elongation was less in the intervention group(0.56±0.32 mm)than in the control group(0.61±0.38 mm,10.5%reduction,P=0.009).The percentage of close reading distance(<30 cm)in the intervention group was less than in the control group(73.4%vs 76.2%,P<0.001),the percentage of everyday perform eye exercises in the intervention group was more than in the control group(27.8%vs 20.7%,P<0.001)30mo later.CONCLUSION:The comprehensive intervention program at elementary school has a significant alleviating effect on myopia progression for children during the 2.5y follow-up,especially for those non-myopia at baseline.
