By taking these factors into account, the study aims to explore how existing cancer registry data can aid in the early detection and effective treatment of ALL in patients. Our hypothesis was that statistically significant correlations exist between race, age at which patients were diagnosed, sex, and phenotype of the ALL patients, and their rate of incidence and survivability data were evaluated using SEER*Stat statistical software from National Cancer Institute. Analysis of the incidence data revealed that a higher prevalence of ALL was among the Caucasian population. The majority of ALL cases (59%) occurred in patients aged between 0 to 19 years at the time of diagnosis, and 56% of the affected individuals were male. The B-cell phenotype was predominantly associated with ALL cases (73%). When analyzing survivability data, it was observed that the 5-year survival rates slightly exceeded the 10-year survival rates for the respective demographics. Survivability rates of African Americans patients were the lowest compared to Caucasian, Asian, Pacific Islanders, Alaskan Native, Native Americans and others. Survivability rates progressively decreased for older patients. Moreover, this study investigated the typical treatment methods applied to ALL patients, mainly comprising chemotherapy, with occasional supplementation of radiation therapy as required. The study demonstrated the considerable efficacy of chemotherapy in enhancing patients’ chances of survival, while those who remained untreated faced a less favorable prognosis from the disease. Although a significant amount of data and information exists, this study can help doctors in the future by diagnosing patients with certain characteristics. It will further assist the health care professionals in screening potential patients and early detection of cases. This could also save the lives of elderly patients who have a higher mortality rate from this disease.展开更多

Radar stealth and onboard electronic attack are two major techniques for the reduction of aircraft susceptibility. A tactical scenario for a strike mission is presented. The effect of aircraft radar cross section on the detection probability of a threat radar, as well as that of onboard jammer, are investigated. The guidance errors of radar guided surface to air missile and anti aircraft artillery, which are disturbed by radar cross section reduction or jammer radiated power and both of them are determined. The probability of aircraft kill given a single shot is calculated and finally the sortie survivability of an attack aircraft in a supposed hostile thread environment worked out. It is demonstrated that the survivability of a combat aircraft will be greatly enhanced by the combined radar stealth and onboard electronic attack, and the evaluation metho dology is effective and applicable.展开更多

First, based on the central limit theorem and the hypothesis testing theory, the confidence interval of each key service's history average service response time in the host server and the spare server can be figured out, respectively. This can also be updated dynamically by a proposed method using the method of time slide window. Then, according to the five kinds of distributed situations of the current service response time' s confidence interval in the host server and the spare server, the proposed algorithm can dynamically choose the appropriate emergency policies such as resource reconfiguration, service degradation or service drifting, etc. in fight time. Thus, the key service request can be finished within its expected deadline by users as far as possible. Furthermore, the whole process of dynamic configuration is transparent to users. Finally, simulation tests are performed to prove the feasibility.展开更多

In this paper, we extend the application of probabilistic model checking to the vehicle to vehicle(V2V) networks. We first develop a continuous-time Markov chain(CTMC) model for the considered V2V network, after that, the PRISM language is adopted to describe the CTMC model, and continuous-time stochastic logic is used to describe the objective survivability properties. In the analysis, two typical failures are considered, namely the node failure and the link failure, respectively induced by external malicious attacks on a target V2V node, and interrupt in a communication link. Considering these failures, their impacts on the network survivability are demonstrated. It is shown that with increasing failure strength, the network survivability is reduced. On the other hand, the network survivability can be improved with increasing repair rate. The proposed probabilistic model checking-based approach can be effectively used in survivability analysis for the V2V networks, moreover, it is anticipated that the approach can be conveniently extended to other networks.展开更多

In order for the vehicle to achieve a certain survivability level,a self-repairing control system( SRCS) has been designed. It consists of two basic technologies, fault diagnosis and isolation( FDI) and reconfigurable control. For FDI,a model-based hierarchical fault diagnosis system is designed for the HROV. Then, control strategies which reconfigure the control system at intervals according to information from the FDI system are presented. Combining the two technologies,it can obtain the fundamental frame of SRCS for the HROV. Considering the hazardous underwater environment at the limiting depth and the hybrid operating modes,an assessment of the HROV's survivability is vitally needed before it enters operational service. This paper presents a new definition of survivability for underwater vehicles and develops a simple survivability model for the SRCS. As a result of survivability assessment for the SRCS,we are able to figure out the survivability of SRCS and make further optimization about it. The methodology developed herein is also applicable to other types of underwater vehicles.展开更多

文摘For the cloud computing system, combined wth the memory function and incomplete matching of the biological immune system,a formal modeling and analysis method of the cloud computing system survivability is proposed by analyzing the survival situation of critical cloud services.First,on the basis of the SAIR(susceptible, active, infected, recovered)model, the SEIRS(susceptible, exposed, infected, recovered, susceptible)model and the vulnerability diffusion model of the distributed virtual system, the evolution state of the virus is divided into six types, and then the diffusion rules of the virus in the service domain of the cloud computing system and the propagation rules between service domains are analyzee. Finally,on the basis of Bio-PEPA(biological-performance evaluation process algebra),the formalized modeling of the survivability evolution of critical cloud services is made, and the SLIRAS(susceptible, latent, infected, recovered, antidotal, susceptible)model is obtained.Based on the stochastic simulation and the ODEs(ordinary differential equations)simulation of the Bio-PEPA model, the sensitivity parameters of the model are analyzed from three aspects, namely, the virus propagation speed of inter-domain,recovery ability and memory ability. The results showthat the proposed model has high approximate fitting degree to the actual cloud computing system, and it can well reflect the survivable change of the system.
文摘The survivability of computer systems should be guaranteed in order to improve its operation efficiency, especially for the efficiency of its critical functions. This paper proposes a decentralized mechanism based on Software-Defined Architecture(SDA).The concepts of critical functions and critical states are defined, and then, the critical functional parameters of the target system are collected and analyzed.Experiments based on the analysis results are performed for reconfiguring the implementations of the whole system.A formal model is presented for analyzing and improving the survivability of the system, and the problem investigated in this paper is reduced to an optimization problem for increasing the system survival time.

文摘Based on the in-depth analysis of the interaction patterns between the components of software system in architecture, this paper illustrates that the association among them is complex and usually changeable during the running period. So we assume the interactions between two adjacency components are grouped into a single connector, which can be used to analyze the influence of components assembly on the survivability for software architecture. The survivability of the components assembly is mapped into the connectivity of graph model. We also bring forward a simplicity method to calculate and quantify the survivability of architecture that could provide a more usable model for designers to evaluate the architecture.

文摘A hybrid remotely operated underwater vehicle( HROV) capable of working to the full ocean depth has been developed. The methodology developed herein is also applicable to other types of underwater vehicles.

文摘This paper puts forward a survivability evaluation model, SQEM (Survivability Quantitative Evaluation Model), based on lucubrating the main method existed. Then it defines the measurement factors and parses the survivability mathematically, introduces state change probability and the idea of setting the weights of survivability factors dynamically into the evaluating process of SQEM, which improved the accuracy of evaluation. An example is presented to illustrate the way SQEM works, which demonstrated the validity and feasibility of the method.
文摘This paper investigates survivability escalation strategies in multi layers transport networks such as ATM/SDH/WDM networks, and presents oriented failures and oriented traffic escalation mechanisms. Furthermore, We present a new survivability Escalation strategy for SDH Based ATM transport networks, which addresses difficult problem for resources sharing pool(RSP) among different layers restoration mechanisms. In this paper, we also present integer programming (IP) model for the resources sharing pool (RSP) design problem and the node simulation model for escalation Node. The simulation results show that the proposed ESP is very efficient. The proposed model can be easily extended for other types of multi layer networks, such as WDM based ATM networks or WDM based SDH networks.
