Assessing and Improving the Quality of Undergraduates in Preschool Education Programs in China:The Course Experience

This study investigated the current status of course satisfaction among 416 undergraduate students majoring in preschool education from four universities in China.And it explored the predictive effects of five influen... This study investigated the current status of course satisfaction among 416 undergraduate students majoring in preschool education from four universities in China.And it explored the predictive effects of five influencing factors(teacher instruction,course management,course setting,course environment,and course resources)on student satisfaction.Through SPSS data analysis,the findings revealed that:1.the mean value of course experience was M=3.861(out of 5);2.there were differences in the satisfaction of undergraduate students'course experience by different background variables;3.course,course resources,and loyalty had significant predictive power on undergraduate students'satisfaction with course experience;4.instructor instruction(TI)did not significantly predict students'satisfaction with course experience(SCES)(p>0.001);5.Faculty instruction(TI)in this study had the highest mean satisfaction score(M=4.191)and the mean satisfaction score was only(M=3.861).The results show that the current status of course satisfaction among Chinese preschool undergraduates is at an moderate level,and there is more space for improvement;although students'satisfaction with teacher instruction(TI)is high,effective teacher instruction does not have a substantial impact on the acquisition of SCES or general competencies,and this passive learning and teaching style leads to a lack of independent learning and active participation among Chinese preschool undergraduate students. 展开更多

This research aims to construct a case resource library for programming course,which can be used for either teachers’teaching or students’learning.The cases cannot be simply piled up but rather require a systematic planning.The solution to this is to design a case system model.The outcome-based education(OBE)concept is adopted to guide the research,and a three-dimensional case system model matching the course objectives is designed.Under the guidance of the model,the case resource library construction is more planned.Cases based on the model can provide all-round support for the cultivation of students’ability by gradually promoting knowledge and technology,frequently exercising one’s abilities,as well as expanding diverse and innovative problems. 展开更多

Microsoft Excel is essential for the End-User Approach (EUA), offering versatility in data organization, analysis, and visualization, as well as widespread accessibility. It fosters collaboration and informed decision-making across diverse domains. Conversely, Python is indispensable for professional programming due to its versatility, readability, extensive libraries, and robust community support. It enables efficient development, advanced data analysis, data mining, and automation, catering to diverse industries and applications. However, one primary issue when using Microsoft Excel with Python libraries is compatibility and interoperability. While Excel is a widely used tool for data storage and analysis, it may not seamlessly integrate with Python libraries, leading to challenges in reading and writing data, especially in complex or large datasets. Additionally, manipulating Excel files with Python may not always preserve formatting or formulas accurately, potentially affecting data integrity. Moreover, dependency on Excel’s graphical user interface (GUI) for automation can limit scalability and reproducibility compared to Python’s scripting capabilities. This paper covers the integration solution of empowering non-programmers to leverage Python’s capabilities within the familiar Excel environment. This enables users to perform advanced data analysis and automation tasks without requiring extensive programming knowledge. Based on Soliciting feedback from non-programmers who have tested the integration solution, the case study shows how the solution evaluates the ease of implementation, performance, and compatibility of Python with Excel versions. 展开更多

However, those table data contain much unnecessary information that do not need for a certain project. Using the raw data can increase processing times and reduce performance of geoprocessing tools. UML Class diagram generation from textual requirements is an important task in object-oriented design and programing course.This study proposes a method for automatically generating class diagrams from Chinese textual requirements on the basis of Natural Language Processing(NLP)and mapping rules for sentence pattern matching.First,classes are identified through entity recognition rules and candidate class pruning rules using NLP from requirements.Second,class attributes and relationships between classes are extracted using mapping rules for sentence pattern matching on the basis of NLP.Third,we developed an assistant tool integrated into a precision micro classroom system for automatic generation of class diagram,to effectively assist the teaching of object-oriented design and programing course.Results are evaluated with precision,accuracy and recall from eight requirements of object-oriented design and programing course using truth values created by teachers.Our research should benefit beginners of object-oriented design and programing course,who may be students or software developers.It helps them to create correct domain models represented in the UML class diagram. 展开更多

针对目前Vissim-Python联合仿真系统在信控交叉口DRL配时研究中算法移植性不高且难以实际应用的问题,设计一款交叉口配时仿真系统。在该系统中,为满足实际应用的需要,提出同时考虑检测器数据和倒计时的DRL配时模型,根据此模型需求,通过P... 针对目前Vissim-Python联合仿真系统在信控交叉口DRL配时研究中算法移植性不高且难以实际应用的问题,设计一款交叉口配时仿真系统。在该系统中,为满足实际应用的需要,提出同时考虑检测器数据和倒计时的DRL配时模型,根据此模型需求,通过Python设计必要的Vissim组件接口,并封装为Gym强化学习仿真环境。为解决算法移植性不高的问题,基于深度学习框架PyTorch对配时算法的接口规范化,并使用PyQt5设计可视化操作界面,可灵活调整算法参数。为提高系统运行效率,使用四种技巧加速仿真进程。最后以珠海市柠溪路与兴业路交叉口为例进行仿真测试,结果表明,该系统运行良好,既可对实际交叉口的配时效果进行评估,也可作为相关算法研究者的测试平台。 展开更多
