Yang Yi is one of the few female translators. She often uses the translation technique of literal translation. The translation is faithful to the original text, maintains the style and form of the original text, and completely shows the local customs in the works to the readers. This paper will analyze and appreciate Yang Yi’s translation from the aspects of environment, dialogue, and rhetoric under the guidance of communicative translation theory.
