The principle of Ren is the fundamental principle of Confucian culture, and the heart of Ceyin is the embodiment of the thought of Ren, which represents a kind of painful emotion and a tendency to help that human beings naturally produce when seeing others in danger, reflecting the quality of compassion in human nature. By analyzing and thinking about the content of heart of Ceyin and compassion in Chinese and Western cultures, this paper finds that this quality exists widely in Chinese and Western cultures, which provides a theoretical basis for proving the universality of Confucianism and promoting its spread overseas.展开更多
