Influenced by the mother tongue negative transfer, the grade seven students will make some mistakes in the process of English writing. This is mainly due to the fact that the students’ native language knowledge system has been established before writing, and coupled with the constraints of the language environment, the content and structure of their output will be influenced by their mother tongue, which hinder students from improving their English writing level. Based on the composition text materials, this paper analyzes and categorizes the types of errors made by grade seven students in English writing due to the influence of mother tongue negative transfer. On this basis, this paper puts forward a series of strategies, with a view to providing teachers with references to help students reduce the errors of mother tongue negative transfer in English writing and improve their language expression ability.展开更多
