Using the convergence of the chaotic orbit in finite time, we can control the system from chaos to the stable fixed point, and even to the stable period-2 orbit or higher periodic orbit by the action of a proper feedback strength and pulse interval. We also find that the multi-steady solutions appear with the same control strength and different initial conditions. The aim of this control method is explicit and the feedback strength is easy to determine. The method is robust under the presence of weak external noise.展开更多

Our primary goal in this paper is (i) to solve the feedback-modified master equation, (ii) to demonstrate the ability of feedback control based on the solutions, and (iii) to pick out different steady states by choosing different driving strengths and feedback strengths to counteract the effects of both damping and the measurement back-action on the system. We further investigate some properties of the equilibrium steady state, its distribution probability and entanglement vs. the driving and feedback amplitudes. We find that in our feedback model feedback plays a negative role in producing entanglement.展开更多

We propose a gain-scaling controller for compensating measurement noise of feedback sensor. Because control systems operate via feedback sensor's signal, the measurement noise in sensor' signal results in performance degradation or even system failure. Therefore, control systems often demand on compensating measurement noise. Our controller is equipped with a compensator and gain-scaling factor in order to reduce the effect of measurement noise on feedback sensor.展开更多

Quantitative feedback theory (QFT) is offered as the main tool for designing the control law. Inverted decoupling is also employed to make multivariable quantitative feedback design easier. Various nonlinear analyses are carried out and show that the proposed control system is a robust decoupling controller which not only makes body sideslip angle and yaw rate of the vehicle track the desired reference input signals respectively, but also satisfies the requirement of robustness for the control system. The results also indicate that the control system can make it available to realize ideal lateral steering dynamics tracking for vehicles.展开更多

It is based on one type of nonlinear control; feedback linearization control. To make a realization in the sense of electric drive, symmetricM space vector PWM (pulse width modulation) is applied. Estimation of damper winding currents via Lyapunov function for the whole estimated system is done. The aim of control is to make tracking system for rotor speed and square of stator flux. Simulation of motor starting to predefined operating points is done, and also maintaining these points during step change of load torque is obtained. Simulations give good results.展开更多

The agents are described by nonlinear dynamics models with unknown parameters and immeasurable states. A high-gain dynamic state observer is established to estimate the immeasurable states. With a proper design parameter choice, an adaptive output feedback control method is developed employing a hysteretic quantizer and the designed dynamic state observer. Stability analysis shows that the control strategy can guarantee that the agents can maintain the formation shape while tracking the reference trajectory. In addition, all the signals in the closed-loop system are bounded. The effectiveness of the control strategy is validated by simulation.展开更多

Based on quantum trajectory theory, we obtain an extended master equation for the dynamics of the reduced system in the presence of feedback control. For a qubit system we analytically solve this master equation and obtain the solution of the state vector dynamics. Then we propose an effective feedback control scheme for preparing an arbitrary quantum pure state. We also study how to protect two nonorthogonai states effectively, and find that projective measurement with unbiazed basis is not optimal for this task, while weak measurement with biased basis could realize the best protection of two nonorthogonal states. Furthermore, the inefficiencies in the feedback process are also discussed展开更多

The problem of feedback stabilization under proportional-integral-derivative(PID for short) boundary control is addressed. In the proportional-integral(PI for short) controller case, by spectral analysis, the authors provide a complete characterization of the set of stabilizing feedback parameters, and determine the corresponding time delay stability interval. Moreover, the stability of the equilibrium is discussed by Lyapunov function techniques, and by this approach the exponential stability when a damping term is added to the classical PI controller scheme is proved. Also, based on Pontryagin results on stability for quasipolynomials, it is shown that the closed-loop system sub ject to PID control is always unstable.展开更多
