Five different methods, namely, mechanical mixing, impregnation, hydrothermal treatment, co‐precipitation, and a sol‐gel technique, were used to synthesizeMnOx‐CeO2 catalysts. The catalysts were characterized in detail, and an NH3‐SCR model reaction waschosen to evaluate the catalytic performance. The results showed that the preparation methodsaffected the catalytic performance in the order: hydrothermal treatment > sol‐gel > co‐precipitation> impregnation > mechanical mixing. This order correlated with the surface Ce3+ and Mn4+ content, oxygen vacancies and surface adsorbed oxygen species concentration, and the amount of acidic sitesand acidic strength. This trend is related to redox interactions between MnOx and CeO2. The catalystformed by a hydrothermal treatment exhibited excellent physicochemical properties, optimal catalyticperformance, and good H2O resistance in NH3‐SCR reaction. This was attributed to incorporationof Mnn+ into the CeO2 lattice to form a uniform ceria‐based solid solution (containing Mn‐O‐Cestructures). Strengthening of the electronic interactions between MnOx and CeO2, driven by thehigh‐temperature and high‐pressure conditions during the hydrothermal treatment also improved the catalyst characteristics. Thus, the hydrothermal treatment method is an efficient and environment‐friendly route to synthesizing low‐temperature denitrification (deNOx) catalysts.展开更多

The undoped and Zr4+, Al3+, and Si4+ doped nano‐rods were used as supports to prepare MnOx/CeO2‐NR, MnOx/CZ‐NR, MnOx/CA‐NR, and MnOx/CS‐NR catalysts, respectively. The prepared supports and catalysts were comprehensively characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), high‐resolution TEM, X‐ray diffraction, Raman and N2‐physisorption analyses, hydrogen temperature‐programmed reduction, ammonia temperature‐programmed desorption, in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier‐transform spectroscopic analysis of the NH3 adsorption, and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Moreover, the catalytic performance and H2O+SO2 tolerance of these samples were evaluated through NH3‐selective catalytic reduction (NH3‐SCR) in the absence or presence of H2O and SO2. The obtained results show that the MnOx/CS‐NR catalyst exhibits the highest NOx conversion and the lowest N2O concentration, which result from the largest number of oxygen vacancies and acid sites, the highest Mn4+ content, and the lowest redox ability. The MnOx/CS‐NR catalyst also presents excellent resistance to H2O and SO2. All of these phenomena suggest that Si4+ is the optimal dopant for the MnOx/CeO2‐NR catalyst.展开更多

In this paper, we report a catalyst, Cu2+ loading SAPO-17, synthesized using cyclohexylamine(CHA), which is commercially available and inexpensive and is utilized in NH3-SCR reduction for the first time. After systematic investigations on the optimization of Si and Cu2+ contents, it was concluded that Cu-SAPO-17-8.0%-0.22 displays favorable catalytic performance, even after being heated at 353 K for 24 h and at 973 K for 16 h. Moreover, the locations of CHAs, host–guest interaction and the Bronsted acid sites were explored by Rietveld refinement against powder X-ray diffraction data of as-made SAPO-17-8.0%. The refinement results showed that two CHAs exist within one eri cage and that the protonated CHA forms a hydrogen bond with O4, which indicates that the proton bonding with O4 will form the Bronsted acid site after the calcination.展开更多

文摘Sm-doped Fe_(2)O_(3)catalysts,with a homogeneous distribution of Sm in Fe_(2)O_(3)nanoparticles,were synthesized using a citric acid-assisted sol-gel method.Kinetic studies show that the reaction rate for NO_(x)reduction using the optimal catalyst(0.06 mol%doping of Sm in Fe_(2)O_(3))was nearly 11 times higher than that for pure Fe_(2)O_(3),when calculated based on specific surface area.Furthermore, the Fe_(0.94)Sm_(0.06)O_(x)catalyst maintains>83%NO_(x)conversion for 168 h at a high space velocity in the presence of SO_(2)and H_(2)O at 250℃.A substantial amount of surface-adsorbed oxygen was generated on the surface of Fe_(0.94)Sm_(0.06)O_(x),which promoted NO oxidation and the subsequent fast reaction between NO_(x)and NH_(3).The adsorption and activation of NH_(3)was also enhanced by Sm doping. In addition,Sm doping facilitated the decomposition of NH_(4)HSO_(4)on the surface of Fe_(0.94)Sm_(0.06)O_(x),resulting in its high activity and stability in the presence of SO_(2)+H_(2)O.

文摘The low‐temperature hydrothermal stabilities of Cu‐SAPO‐34samples with various Si contents and Cu loadings were systematically investigated. The NH3oxidation activities and NH3‐selective catalytic reduction(SCR)activities(mainly the low‐temperature activities)of all the Cu‐SAPO‐34catalysts declined after low‐temperature steam treatment(LTST).These results show that the texture and acid density of Cu‐SAPO‐34can be better preserved by increasing the Cu loading, although the hydrolysis of Si-O-Al bonds is inevitable. The stability of Cu ions and the stability of the SAPO framework were positively correlated at relatively low Cu loadings. However,a high Cu loading(e.g.,3.67wt%)resulted in a significant decrease in the number of isolated Cu ions.Aggregation of CuO particles also occurred during the LTST,which accounts for the decreasing NH3oxidation activities of the catalysts.Among the catalysts,Cu‐SAPO‐34with a high Si content and medium Cu content(1.37wt%)showed the lowest decrease in NH3‐SCR because its Cu2+content was well retained and its acid density was well preserved.

文摘Thermally stable Zr4+, Al3+, and Si4+ cations were incorporated into the lattice of CeO2 nano‐rods (i.e., CeO2‐NR) in order to improve the specific surface area. All of these phenomena suggest that Si4+ is the optimal dopant for the MnOx/CeO2‐NR catalyst.

文摘Silicon carbide(SiC)was used as a support for SSZ‐13zeolite in an attempt to improve the high‐temperature stability and activity of Cu/SSZ‐13in the selective catalytic reduction(SCR)of NO with NH3.SSZ‐13was grown via a hydrothermal method using the silicon and silica contained in SiC as the source of silicon, which led to the formation of a chemically bonded SSZ‐13layer on SiC.Characterization using X‐ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and N2adsorption‐desorption isotherms revealed that the alkali content strongly affected the purity of zeolite and the crystallization time affected the coverage and crystallinity of the zeolite layer.Upon ion exchange, the resulting Cu/SSZ‐13@SiC catalyst exhibited enhanced activity in NH3‐SCR in the high‐temperature region compared with the unsupported Cu/SSZ‐13.Thus,the application temperature was extended with the use of SiC as the support.?2018,Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics,Chinese Academy of Sciences.Published by Elsevier B.V.All rights reserved.

文摘An Fe/TiO2catalyst with uniform mesopores was synthesized using Pluronic F127as a structuredirecting agent. This catalyst was used for selective catalytic reduction of NO with NH3.The catalytic activity and resistance to H2O and SO2of Fe/TiO2prepared by a template method were better than those of catalysts synthesized using impregnation and coprecipitation. The samples were characterized using N2‐physisorption,transmission electron microscopy, ultraviolet‐visibl spectroscopy,X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fouriertransform spectroscopy. The results showed that Pluronic F127acted as a structural and chemical promoter;it not only promoted the formation of a uniform mesoporous structure, leading to a higher surface area, but also improved dispersion of the active phase. In addition, the larger number of Lewis acidic sites, indicated by the presence of coordinated NH3species(1188cm-1)and the N–H stretching modes of coordinated NH3(3242and3388cm-1),were beneficial to mid‐temperature selective catalytic reduction reactions.
文摘The high-temperature(HT) and low-temperature(LT) hydrothermal stabilities of molecular-sieve-based catalysts are important for the selective catalytic reduction of NOx with ammonia(NH3-SCR). The refinement results showed that two CHAs exist within one eri cage and that the protonated CHA forms a hydrogen bond with O4, which indicates that the proton bonding with O4 will form the Bronsted acid site after the calcination.
文摘Although metal oxide-zeolite hybrid materials have long been known to achieve enhanced catalytic activity and selectivity in NO_(x)removal reactions through the inter-particle diffusion of intermediate species, their subsequent reaction mechanism on acid sites is still unclear and requires investigation. In this study, the distribution of Brønsted/Lewis acid sites in the hybrid materials was precisely adjusted by introducing potassium ions, which not only selectively bind to Brønsted acid sites but also potentially affect the formation and diffusion of activated NO species.Systematic in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy analyses coupled with selective catalytic reduction of NO_(x)with NH_(3)(NH_(3)-SCR)reaction demonstrate that the Lewis acid sites over MnO_(x)are more active for NO reduction but have lower selectivity to N_(2)than Brønsted acids sites.Brønsted acid sites primarily produce N_(2),whereas Lewis acid sites primarily produce N_(2)O,contributing to unfavorable N_(2)selectivity.The Brønsted acid sites present in Y zeolite, which are stronger than those on MnO_(x),accelerate the NH_(3)-SCR reaction in which the nitrite/nitrate species diffused from the MnO_(x)particles rapidly convert into the N_(2).Therefore,it is important to design the catalyst so that the activated NO species formed in MnO_(x)diffuse to and are selectively decomposed on the Brønsted acid sites of H-Y zeolite rather than that of MnO_(x)particle.For the physically mixed H-MnO_(x)+H-Y sample, the abundant Brønsted/Lewis acid sites in H-MnO_(x)give rise to significant consumption of activated NO species before their inter-particle diffusion, thereby hindering the enhancement of the synergistic effects.Furthermore,we found that the intercalated K+in K-MnO_(x)has an unexpected favorable role in the NO reduction rate, probably owing to faster diffusion of the activated NO species on K-MnO_(x)than H-MnO_(x).This study will help to design promising metal oxide-zeolite hybrid catalysts by identifying the role of the acid sites in two different constituents.

文摘A series of H3PO4-modified CeO2 samples were prepared by impregnation of CeO2 with H3PO4solution,and evaluated for the selective catalytic reduction of NOx by NH3.The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction,N2 adsorption-desorption,infrared spectroscopy,Raman spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,temperature-programmed desorption of NH3,and temperature-programmed reduction of H2.The results showed that more than 80%NO conversion was achieved in the temperature range 250-550℃ over the H3PO4-CeO2 catalyst. The enhanced catalytic performance could be ascribed to the increase in acidic strength, especially Bronsted acidity, and reduction in redox properties of the CeO2 after H3PO4 modification.

文摘The influence of tungsten trioxide(WO3)loading on the selective catalytic reduction(SCR)of nitric oxide(NO)by ammonia(NH3)over WO3/cerium dioxide(CeO2)was investigated. The NO conversion first rose and then declined with increasing WO3loading.It was found that the crystalline WO3in the1.6WO3/CeO2sample could be removed in25wt%ammonium hydroxide at70°C,which improved the catalytic activity of the sample. The obtained samples were characterized by X‐ray diffraction,Raman spectroscopy,X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy,hydrogen(H2)temperature programmed reduction,NH3temperature programmed desorption, and in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy. The results revealed that the dispersed WO3promoted the catalytic activity of WO3/CeO2while the crystalline WO3inhibited catalytic activity. The oxygen activation of CeO2was inhibited by the coverage of WO3,which weakened NO oxidation and adsorption of nitrate species over WO3/CeO2.In addition, the NH3adsorption performance on CeO2was improved by modification with WO3.NH3was the most stable adsorbed species under NH3SCR reaction conditions. In situ DRIFT spectra suggested that the NH3SCR reaction proceeded via the Eley‐Rideal mechanism over WO3/CeO2.Thus,when the loading of WO3was close to the dispersion capacity, the effects of NH3adsorption and activation were maximized to promote the reaction via the Eley‐Rideal route.
文摘Cerium‐based catalysts are very attractive for the catalytic abatement of nitrogen oxides(NOx)emitted from stationary sources. However, the main challenge is still achieving satisfactory catalytic activity in the low‐temperature range and tolerance to SO2 poisoning. In the present work, two series of Mo‐modified CeO_(2)catalysts were respectively obtained through a wet impregnation method(Mo‐CeO_(2))and a co‐precipitation method(MoCe‐cp),and the roles of the Mo species were systematically investigated.Activity tests showed that the Mo‐CeO_(2)catalyst displayed much higher NO conversion at low temperature and anti‐SO2 ability than MoCe‐cp.The optimal Mo‐CeO_(2)catalyst displayed over 80%NO elimination efficiency even at 150°C and remarkable SO2 resistance at 250°C(nearly no activity loss after 40 h test). The characterization results indicated that the introduced Mo species were highly dispersed on the Mo‐CeO_(2)catalyst surface, thereby providing more Brønsted acid sites and inhibiting the formation of stable adsorbed NOx species. These factors synergistically promote the selective catalytic reduction(SCR)reaction in accordance with the Eley‐Rideal(E‐R)reaction path on the Mo‐CeO_(2)catalyst.Additionally,the molybdenum surface could protect CeO_(2)from SO2 poisoning;thus, the reducibility of the Mo‐CeO_(2)catalyst declined slightly to an adequate level after sulfation. The results in this work indicate that surface modification with Mo species may be a simple method of developing highly efficient cerium‐based SCR catalysts with superior SO2 durability.

文摘Vanadium oxide (VOx) nanostructures, synthesized by hydrothermal treatment using dodecylamine as template, were evaluated for the selective catalytic reduction of NOx with ammonia (NH3-SCR), The effect of solvent type in the reaction mixture (EtOH/(EtOH + H20)) and time of hydrolysis was studied. The obtained materials were characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM and BET, The VOx nanorods (80-120 nm diameter and 1-4 μm length) were synthesized in 25 vol% EtOH/(EtOH + H20) and the open-ended multiwalled VOx nanotube (50-100 nm inner diameter, 110-180 nm outer diameter and 0,5-2 pm length) synthesized in 50 vol% EtOH/(EtOH + H20). VOx nanotuhes performed the superior NH3-SCR activity under a gas hourly space velocity of 12,000 h-1 at low temperature of 250 ~C (NOx conversion of 893g & N2 selectivity of 100%), while most of the developed Vanadia base catalysts are active at high temperature (〉350 ℃). The superior NH3-SCR activity ofVOx nanotubes at low tem- perature is related to nanocrystalline structure, special nanotube morphology as well as high specific surface area.
