In literacy teaching, it is necessary to pay attention to both the quantity and speed of literacy as well as the quality of literacy. Emphasis is placed on and the humanistic spirit contained in Chinese characters is explored, so that students can have a preliminary understanding of the cultural connotations of Chinese characters and the cultural concepts and cultural spirit embedded in them. Existing elementary school literacy teaching means and contents are single and inefficient, which side by side shows the importance of Chinese character culture in literacy teaching. This paper focuses on the situation of cultural penetration of Chinese characters and its value from the perspective of Chinese character culture, with a view to playing a positive role in improving students’ language ability and enhancing their sense of national cultural identity. Taking the teaching of the first grade curriculum as an example, the paper then analyzes the language teaching materials from a cultural perspective, and elaborates on the strategies for implementing literacy teaching to enrich students’ humanistic literacy.展开更多
