Through field investigations, single well thickness calibration, regional mapping, and the study of drilling core thin sections in the southwestern piedmont tectonic belt, a large number of Carboniferous carbonate deep-water gravity flow deposits along the slope have been identified. These deposits are classified into four main types: slump deposits, debris flow deposits, turbidity current deposits, and still-water deposits. Experimental analysis and interpretation of logging data confirm that gravity flow deposits can form relatively high-quality oil reservoirs. This study identifies the characteristics of Carboniferous slope gravity flow deposits in the southwestern Tarim Basin and their geological significance for oil and gas, providing some reference for future exploration and development activities.展开更多
