Coin-patterned Pottery and pocelain is a kind of important vessels which prevailed at the area of China and East Asia from 1st century AD to 6th century AD.The study shows that,this kind of vessels originated in China...Coin-patterned Pottery and pocelain is a kind of important vessels which prevailed at the area of China and East Asia from 1st century AD to 6th century AD.The study shows that,this kind of vessels originated in China and could be dated back to the late Western Han Dynasty,and then was transmitted to Korean Peninsula and Vietnam.In China it was mainly discovered in the Middle and Lower reaches of Changjiang River and Ling’nan(岭南)Area.From Western Han to the Southern and Northern Dynasties,the shape,crafts and patterns of the pottery and porcelain witnessed its own evolution displayed in this paper,which can help to date the similar findings from different areas.The prevailing of this kind of pottery and porcelain in east Asia,displays a common love and admiration of the people from different nations for coin-patterned utensil.So this paper provides a unique viewpoint for the study on the origination and spreading of coin-admiration in the China-centered east Asia in ancient time.展开更多
