The article begins by defining the concept of course-based ideological and political education, emphasizing its indispensable role in higher education. It further explores the core function of implicit ideological and political education in the development of students’ individuality and the formation of values. The paper conducts a detailed analysis of the excavation of implicit ideological and political elements in the course, including scientific mind, ethical education, spirit of exploration, craftsmanship, and the sentiment of contributing to the country through science and technology. On this basis, specific implementation strategies are proposed: optimizing teaching objectives, establishing a subject-specific case library, adopting diversified teaching methods, and integrating ideological and political elements in the evaluation system of course teaching effectiveness. Finally, the article emphasizes the profound impact of implicit ideological and political education on enhancing students' comprehensive qualities and fostering a sense of social responsibility, and it provides a prospect for the future direction of teaching practice development.展开更多
