Effect of comprehensive nursing on the quality of life and swallowing function in individuals diagnosed with ischemic stroke

BACKGROUND Ischemic stroke(IS)is a widely recognized disease characterized by high preva-lence,mortality,morbidity,disability,and recurrence rates.It ranks prominently in terms of mortality,constituting 60%-80%of stroke cases.AIM To explore the impact of comprehensive nursing care on the quality of life and swallowing function in individuals diagnosed with IS.METHODS This study comprised 172 patients with IS admitted to our hospital between February 2018 to March 2021.The participants were divided into two groups,namely the control group(n=80)receiving routine care and the research group(n=92)receiving comprehensive care.Various assessment scales,including the standard swallowing function assessment scale(SSA),National Institutes of Health Stroke scale(NIHSS),European stroke scale(ESS),self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS),Barthel index(BI),and the motor func-tion assessment scale(MAS),were employed to evaluate the improvement in swallowing function,neurological deficits,clinical outcomes,anxiety,depression,daily living activities,and motor function before and after care.Furthermore,the study compared the occurrence of adverse reactions during the nursing period,life quality before and after the intervention,rehabilitation compliance,and nursing satisfaction between the two groups.RESULTS After the nursing intervention,the research group exhibited significantly improved SSA and NIHSS scores compared to the control group(P<0.05).Moreover,both groups demonstrated significant reductions in SAS and SDS scores(P<0.05),with the research group showing more obvious advantages(P<0.05).Compared to the control group,the research group displayed significantly better ESS,BI,and MAS scores(P<0.05),coupled with a lower incidence of adverse reactions(P<0.05).Additionally,the research group demonstrated markedly higher levels of life quality,rehabilitation compliance,and nursing satisfaction compared to the control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Comprehensive nursing effectively improved swallowing function,quality of life,and patient satisfaction,high-lighting its clinical significance.

Effects of comprehensive nursing with cognitive behavioral therapy in orthodontic osteodilated arch treatment

BACKGROUND This work explored the effects of cognitive behavior therapy(CBT)-based comprehensive nursing intervention(CNI)mode in arch expansion to treat patients with orthodontic osteodilated arch(OOA).AIM To explore the application effect of CBT-based CNI model in orthodontic expansion arch treatment.METHODS Using convenient sampling method,81 patients with OOA were selected and rolled into a control group(Ctrl group,40 cases)and an observation group(Obs group,41 cases).During the treatment,patients in the Ctrl group received routine nursing intervention mode,and the those in the Obs group received CBT mode on the basis of this.Before and after intervention,the incidence of oral mucositis,the mastery rate of correct arch expansion method,self-rating anxiety scale score,soft scale index,and plaque index were compared for patients in different groups.In addition,satisfaction and complications were comparatively analyzed.RESULTS Incidence of oral mucositis in the Obs group was lower(14.6%vs 38.5%),and the mastery rate of correct arch expansion method was obviously higher(90.2%vs 55.0%)was obviously higher(all P<0.05).Meanwhile,the soft scale index and plaque index in the Obs group were much lower(P<0.05).The compliance(90.24%)and satisfaction(95.12%)in the Obs group were greatly higher(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The CBT-based CNI mode greatly improved the mastery rate of correct arch expansion method during arch expansion in treating patients with OOA and enhanced the therapeutic effect of arch expansion and the oral health of patients,improving the patient compliance.

Risk factors for secondary infection after liver failure and effect of comprehensive nursing intervention

BACKGROUND In patients with liver failure(LF),the high rate of secondary infections,which are associated with poor prognosis,highlights the clinical significance of understanding the underlying risk factors and implementing targeted intervention programs.AIM To investigate risk factors for secondary infections in patients with LF and evaluate the effectiveness of comprehensive nursing interventions.METHODS This retrospective study included 64 patients with LF,including 32 with and 32 without secondary infections.A questionnaire was used to collect data on age;laboratory parameters,including total and direct bilirubin,prothrombin time,blood ammonia,and other biochemical parameters;invasive procedures;and complications.Patients with secondary infections received comprehensive nursing intervention in addition to routine nursing care,whereas those without secondary infections received only routine nursing care to compare the effect of nursing intervention on outcomes.RESULTS The infection rate,which was not associated with age or complications,was significantly associated with biochemical parameters and invasive procedures(P<0.05).The infection rate was 61.6%in patients who had undergone invasive procedures and 32.1%in those who had not undergone invasive procedures during the hospital stay.The infection rate was also significantly associated with the type of LF(P<0.05),with the lowest rate observed in patients with acute LF and the highest rate observed in those with subacute LF.The nursing satisfaction rate was 58.3%in the uninfected group and 91.7%in the infected group,indicating significantly higher satisfaction in the infected group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION In patients with LF,the rate of secondary infections was high and associated with biochemical parameters and type of LF.Comprehensive nursing intervention can improve patient satisfaction.

Effect of comprehensive nursing on swallowing function and quality of life in patients with ischemic stroke

Hu et al explored the impact of comprehensive nursing model on swallowing function and quality of life in patients with ischemic stroke.They divided 172 patients into the control group(routine care)and the research group(comprehensive care),and used standard scales to evaluate the swallowing function,neurological deficit,anxiety and depression,daily living ability,and exercise of the two groups of patients before and after care.Changes in indicators of function,quality of life,and compliance.The results showed that compared with the control group,patients in the study group achieved significant improvements in various indicators,with a lower incidence of adverse reactions and higher satisfaction with care.These data suggest that the comprehensive nursing model can significantly improve the swallowing function,quality of life and satisfaction of patients with ischemic stroke.In the future,the development of comprehensive nursing models needs to focus on technological innovation,humanized services,continuing education and training,multi-disciplinary collaboration,optimal allocation of resources,standardized practice and evaluation,etc.,in order to improve nursing effects and promote the improvement of medical service quality.

Effect of programmed comprehensive nursing on delirium incidence in intensive care unit children following severe cardiac surgery

BACKGROUND Programmed comprehensive nursing was adopted for intensive care unit(ICU)children following severe cardiac surgery to improve respiratory function and delirium incidence.AIM To explore how programmed comprehensive nursing impacts respiratory func-tion and delirium incidence in ICU children post cardiac surgery.METHODS Between January 2022 and January 2024,180 pediatric patients from the Chil-dren’s Hospital of Nanjing were admitted to the ICU after cardiac surgery and randomly grouped.The control group comprised 90 patients and received routine nursing care.The observation group comprised 90 patients and received program-med comprehensive nursing.Both groups received continuous nursing care until discharge.Their respiratory function,incidence of delirium,and clinical outcomes were compared.The memory state and sleep quality of both groups were com-pared.RESULTS The incidence of delirium was 5.56%in the observation group when admitted to ICU,which was lower than that in the control group(20.00%;P<0.05).The observation group demonstrated higher peak expiratory flow rate,respiratory frequency,deep breathing volume,and tidal volume in the ICU compared with the control group.Additionally,the observation group showed higher sleep depth,sleep latency,night awakening,return to sleep,and sleep quality com-pared with the control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Programmed comprehensive nursing in ICU patients following severe cardiac surgery can reduce the impact on respiratory function,improve sleep quality,and alleviate postoperative delirium,showing significant promise for clinical application.

Analysis of The Effect of Comprehensive Nursing Intervention on Improving Blood Sugar Levels and Treatment Compliance in Elderly Patients with Diabetes

Objective: To analyze the effect of comprehensive nursing intervention on improving blood glucose levels and treatment compliance in elderly patients with diabetes. Methods: One hundred and forty-eight elderly patients with diabetes were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 74 cases each. The control group received routine nursing intervention and the observation group received comprehensive nursing intervention. The blood sugar levels, treatment compliance, and nursing satisfaction of the two groups of patients before and after intervention were compared. Results: After the intervention, the fasting plasma glucose (FPG) (t = 7.729), 2 hours postprandial glucose (PPG) (t = 8.343), and HbA1c (t = 6.929) levels of patients in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P < 0.001). The observation group (71/95.95%) had a higher compliance rate than the control group (54/72.97%) (χ^(2)=14.877, P < 0.001). The comprehensive nursing satisfaction rate of the observation group (73/98.65%) was higher than that of the control group (56/75.68%) (χ^(2)=17.451, P < 0.001). Conclusion: In caring for elderly patients with diabetes, comprehensive nursing intervention effectively reduced patients’ blood sugar levels and improved treatment compliance and nursing satisfaction.

Effectiveness of Comprehensive Nursing Management in Enhancing Blood Donation Outcomes and Donor Experience: A Comparative Study

Objective:To assess the management effect of comprehensive nursing management on blood donation services in blood stations.Methods:Sixty-four individuals who donated blood at a blood station between September 2021 and September 2023 were selected and randomly assigned into two groups of 32 each.The first group received comprehensive nursing management,while the second group received routine nursing management.Blood donation indexes and observational indexes such as adverse reactions were compared between the groups.Results:The total blood donation volume and qualified blood donation volume were higher in the first group than in the second group.The amount of discarded blood and the rate of blood discards were lower in the first group compared to the second group(P<0.05).Additionally,the adverse reaction rate in the first group was lower,the blood donation comfort scores were higher,the psychological state scores were lower,and the quality of care scores were higher than those in the second group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Comprehensive nursing management can improve the efficiency of blood donation,reduce the rate of blood discards,decrease the incidence of adverse reactions,alleviate negative psychological states of blood donors,and enhance both the comfort level of blood donation and the quality of care provided.

Analysis of the Effect of the Comprehensive Nursing Model on Patients with Moyamoya Disease Undergoing Intracranial and Extracranial Revascularization Surgery

Objective:To explore the effect of a comprehensive nursing model on patients with Moyamoya disease who underwent intracranial and extracranial revascularization surgery.Methods:110 cases were divided into control and observation groups with 55 cases each.The control group received routine perioperative care,and the observation group received perioperative care along with comprehensive nursing care.The two groups’disease cognition levels,anxiety,symptoms,daily living ability scores,and postoperative complication rates were compared.Results:The anxiety score and total postoperative complications of the observation group upon discharge were lower than that of the control group,and the disease cognition level and daily living ability upon discharge were higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Applying the comprehensive nursing model in conjunction with perioperative care for patients undergoing surgery can effectively improve their anxiety,strengthen activities of daily living,and reduce the risk of postoperative complications.

Effect of Comprehensive Nursing Intervention in Patients with Urinary Incontinence After Radical Prostatectomy

Objective:To explore and analyze the clinical effect of comprehensive nursing intervention in patients with urinary incontinence after radical prostatectomy.Methods:84 patients with urinary incontinence after radical prostatectomy admitted to the Urology Department between May 2021 and May 2023 were included in this study.The patients were divided into a comprehensive group and a control group,with 42 cases in each group through a double-blind mechanism.The comprehensive group received comprehensive nursing care,and the control group received primary nursing care.The duration of indwelling urinary catheters and urinary incontinence;psychological performance and living conditions were compared between the two groups.Results:The duration of the indwelling urinary catheter and urinary incontinence of the patients in the comprehensive group were significantly shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05).Before nursing,there was no statistically significant difference in the anxiety,depression,and other psychological manifestations between the two groups(P>0.05);after nursing,the comprehensive group’s anxiety,depression,and other psychological manifestations of the comprehensive group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).Before nursing,there was no statistically significant difference in the physical function,mental state,emotional state,and physical recovery of the patients between both groups(P>0.05);after nursing,the physical function,mental state,emotional state,physical recovery of the patients in the comprehensive group were significantly better than those of the control group.Besides,the living conditions of the patients in the comprehensive group were also significantly better than the control group’s(P<0.05).Conclusion:Comprehensive nursing intervention can effectively improve symptoms of urinary incontinence after radical prostatectomy,reduce inner pressure,and improve living standards.

Effects of comprehensive nursing on postoperative complications,mental status and quality of life in patients with glioma

BACKGROUND The complexity and refractory of brain glioma requires treatment that should involve a multidisciplinary approach to improve quality of care and fulfill patients’needs.AIM To explore the effects of comprehensive nursing on postoperative complications,psychological state and quality of life in patients with brain glioma.METHODS A total of 106 patients with confirmed brain gliomas admitted to Nanchong Central Hospital between January 2019 and May 2021 were selected by random sampling.They were categorized into an observation group and a control group using a random number table with 53 patients in each group.Patients in the observation group were given comprehensive nursing in addition to conventional nursing and patients in the control group were given conventional nursing.The overall incidence of postoperative complications including limb dysfunction,high fever and epilepsy was compared between the two groups.The mental status was evaluated in the two groups before and after intervention using self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)and self-rating depression scale(SDS).Quality of life was assessed and compared using the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire between the two groups before and after the intervention.RESULTS After intervention,the overall incidence of postoperative complications was significantly lower in the observation group(7.55%)than that in the control group(20.75%)(P<0.05).Before intervention,there was no significant difference in SAS and SDS scores between the two groups(P>0.05).However,after intervention,scores of SAS and SDS decreased in the two groups compared with those before intervention,and the scores of SAS and SDS were lower in the observation group than in the control group(all P<0.05).There was no significant difference in quality of life between the two groups before the intervention(P>0.05).In contrast,quality of life increased in the two groups compared with those before intervention,and it was higher in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Comprehensive nursing can reduce the incidence of postoperative complications,improve the psychological state of anxiety and depression and improve quality of life in patients with brain glioma.

CLINICAL OBSERVATION ON THE TREATMENT OF CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME WITH DEEPLY PUNCTURED ELONGATED NEEDLE COMBINED WITH COMPREHENSIVE NURSING

Objective： To observe the therapeutic effect of deep puncture of Zusanli （足三里 ST 36） and Qihai （气海 CV 6） with elongated needle combined with comprehensive nursing in the treatment of chronic fatigue syndrome （CFS） so as to provide new way and effective method for CFS. Methods： A total of 100 cases of CFS patients were evenly randomized into treatment group and control group which were treated with elongated needle puncture of ST 36 and CV 6 plus nursing and oral ackninistration of Shiquan Dobu Tong （十全大补汤 Decoction of Ten Powerful Tonics） separately. Acupuncture and medication were given once daily, with 7 sessions being a therapeutic course, 4 courses altogether. Results： After 4 courses of treatment, of the two 50 cases in treatment and control groups, 4 （8.0%） and 2 （4.0%） were cured, 37 （74.0%） and 16 （32.0%） experienced marked im- provernent, 6 （ 12.0 % ） and 19 （38.0 % ） had improvement, 3 （6.0 % ） and 13 （26.0 % ） tailed, with the total effective rates being 94.0% （47/50） and 74.0% （37/50） respectively. The total effective rate and markedly effective rate of treatment group were significantly higher than those of control group （P〈0.05, 0.01）. Conclusion; Deep puncture of Zusenli （ST 36） and Qihai （CV 6） with elongated needle combined with comprehensive nursing has a definite therapeutic effect in the treatment of chronic fatigue syndrome.

Effect of Comprehensive Nursing on Cervical Cancer Patients

Objective:To explore the effect of comprehensive nxirsing on patients with cervical cancer.Methods:A total of 100 cervical cancer patients,treated in Weihai Central Hospital from May 2020 to May 2021,were included in this study.The patients were cared for by different methods.They were divided into two groups,the control group and the experimental group,in which routine nursing and comprehensive nursing were given,respectively.The effect of the two different nursing methods on the patients were compared and analyzed.Results:After nursing intervention,the incidence of complications and the scores of depression and anxiety of the experimental group were significantly lower compared with the control group,P<0.05.Conclusion:The application of comprehensive nursing among patients with cervical cancer has a positive significance on their recovery.It reduces the incidence of adverse reactions,improve patients5 negative emotions,and improve their satisfaction.

Effect of Comprehensive Nursing Intervention on Intestinal Preparation Quality of Hospitalized Patients undergoing Colonoscopy

Objective:To explore the impact of comprehensive nursing intervention on the quality of intestinal preparation in the process of intestinal preparation for hospitalized patients undergoing colonoscopy.Methods:A total of 320 patients underwent colonoscopy in our department from January to June 2021.They were grouped by random number table.There were 160 cases in the control group and 160 cases in the observation group.The adverse reactions of intestinal preparation and the cleanliness of intestinal preparation were analyzed.Results:Through comprehensive nursing intervention,it can be found that the incidence of adverse reactions in the preparation of colonoscopy in the control group was 24.38%,and that in the observation group was 13.48%.The results showed that the incidence of adverse reactions in the preparation of colonoscopy was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05),which indicates that the difference was statistically significant.In the control group,105 people qualified in intestinal cleanliness score(>5 points)during enteroscopy preparation,and the cleanliness qualification rate was 65.63%.In the observation group,139 people qualified in intestinal cleanliness score(>5 points)during enteroscopy preparation,and the cleanliness qualification rate was 86.88%.The cleanliness qualification rate of enteroscopy preparation was significantly higher than that of the control group,and P<0.05,which indicates that the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion:Comprehensive nursing intervention can promote the quality of preparation of patients for colonoscopy,improve the compliance of patients and improve the accuracy of examination effect.

Application Value of Early Comprehensive Rehabilitation Nursing in Patients with Occupational Asthma

Background Occupational asthma is a type of asthma caused by exposure to asthma-causing substances in an occupational setting. Its incidence is closely related to the degree of industrial development, but also related to the nature of asthma. In some specific industries, such as workers who are exposed to asthmatic isocyanates for a long time, the incidence of occupational asthma can reach 5%-10%, and the incidence of occupational asthma can even reach 50% or higher among workers engaged in the detergent industry who are in contact with proteolytic enzymes for a long time. Objective To analyze the clinical value of early comprehensive rehabilitation nursing for patients with occupational asthma, methods a total of 48 patients with occupational asthma who were admitted from January 2020 to December 2022 were divided into control group and study group by random number table method The disappearance time of chest tightness and shortness of breath, the disappearance time of wheezing and cough, and the FEV1, forced vital capacity (FVC) and peak expiratory flow (PEF) indexes before and after treatment were compared between the two groups after nursing, the disappearance time of clinical symptoms in the study group was shorter than that in the control group, and the levels of FEV1, FVC and PEF were higher than those in the control group, and the P < 0.05 was significantly improved.

Effect of nursing intervention on rehabilitation of patients with chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps after nasal endoscopy

BACKGROUND Chronic sinusitis is a kind of chronic suppurative inflammation of the sinus mucosa.Nasal endoscopy is a good method to treat nasal polyps.However postoperative rehabilitation and care should not be neglected.AIM To investigate the Effect of nursing intervention on the rehabilitation of patients with chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps(CSNPS)after nasal endoscopy.METHODS A total of 129 patients with CSNPS hospitalized from February 2017 to February 2019 were studied.Using the digital parity method,we investigated nursing cooperation strategies for endoscopic surgery.The comparison group(64 cases):Surgical nursing was carried out with traditional nursing measures;experimental group(65 cases):Surgical nursing was carried out by traditional nursing countermeasures+comprehensive nursing measures.We compared postoperative recovery rates,nursing satisfaction rates,and nasal cavity ratings between the two groups.RESULTS Experimental group patients with CSNPS had a significantly higher recovery rate(98.46%)compared to the control group(79.69%).This difference was statistically significant(χ2=11.748,P<0.05).Additionally,the satisfaction rate with treatment was also significantly higher in the experimental group(98.46%)compared to the control group(79.69%),with a statistically significant difference(χ2=11.748,P<0.05).Before nursing,there was no significant difference in sinus nasal cavity scores between the experimental group(20.29±7.25 points)and the control group(20.30±7.27 points)(t=0.008,P>0.05).However,after nursing,the sinus nasal cavity score in the experimental group(8.85±3.22 points)was significantly lower than that in the control group(14.99±5.02 points)(t=8.282,P<0.05).CONCLUSION Comprehensive nursing intervention in patients with CSNPS can significantly improve the total recovery rate after endoscopic surgery.

Perioperative Nursing Observation of Plasma Radiofrequency Ablation for Treatment of Lumbar Intervertebral Disc Herniation

Objective:To observe and analyze the perioperative nursing effect of plasma radiofrequency ablation for treatment of lumbar disc herniation.Methods:A total of 100 patients with lumbar intervertebral disc herniation received from October 2017 to October 2020 were selected and randomly divided into two groups with 50 cases in each group.The control group received the conventional nursing model and the experimental group received the comprehensive nursing model.The two groups of nursing care were compared on satisfaction,SDS and SAS scores before and after treatment,VAS score and JOA score before and after treatment,and treatment effect.Results:The nursing satisfaction of the experimental group,SDS and SAS scores before and after treatment,VAS score and JOA score before and after treatment,and the treatment effect were better than those of the control group.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The comprehensive nursing model has a significant effect on the perioperative nursing of the treatment of lumbar intervertebral disc herniation by plasma radiofrequency ablation.More popularization and application will help improve the treatment effect.
