However, this concept is still not really understood, when it is referred for instance to consciousness and its informational structure. In this paper it is followed the concept of information from philosophical to physics perspective, showing especially how this concept could be extended to matter in general and to the living in particular, as a result of the intimate interaction between matter and information, the human body appearing as a bipolar informed-matter structure. It is detailed on this way how this concept could be referred to consciousness, and an informational modeling of consciousness as an informational system of the human body is presented. Based on the anatomic architecture of the organism and on the inference of the specific information concepts, it is shown that the informational system of the human body could be described by seven informational subsystems, which are reflected in consciousness as corresponding cognitive centers. These results are able to explain the main properties of consciousness, both the cognitive and extra-cognitive properties of the mind, like that observed during the near-death experiences and other similar phenomena. Moreover, the results of such a modeling are compared with the existing empirical concepts and models on the energetic architecture of the organism, showing their relevance for the understanding of consciousness.展开更多

PartⅠ, entitled ' Nabokov’ s Women,' concentrates on the analysis of Nabokov’ s major women identities of different types. My purpose is to demonstrate that in his creation of the women characters, Nabokov’ s political consciousness—mainly his vindication of individual freedom—is unmistakably, although indirectly, exemplified. Due to the different types of women discussed in this study, and also due to the different aspect of his political consciousness that is emphasized in different women identities, this part is subdivided into three chapters. Chapter One, entitled 'Women in the Triangle: Martha and Margot,' focuses on the two women characters in Nabokov’ s early novels. King, Queen, Knave and Laughter in the Dark, aiming to provide an in-depth analysis of the two, and to show that Nabokov has be stowed his special purpose on the creation of Martha and Margot, that is, his condemnation on those who reduce the free and active individual into objects, and such condemnation echoing with Nabokov’ s later direct vindication of individual freedom. Chapter Two, entitled 'The Eternal Feminine:Lolita and Ada,' analyzes the two title characters in Lolita and Ada, or Ardor:A Family Chronicle, illustrating that Lolita is the victim in that her free consciousness is purposefully neglected by the other, man in that case;while Ada enjoys her life totally because she can conduct her free consciousness in her own life. Chapter Three, entitled ' Other Types and Women in His Mind’ s Eye,' deals with Elisabeth, another woman character in Laughter in the Dark, who is a good traditional wife, and Liza, ex-wife of Pnin in Pnin, who is what Nabokov terms as poshlost. In addition, this chapter also provides an examination of Nabokov’ s attitude toward women. Through this analysis, Nabokov’ s Russian Complex is to a degree illustrated.展开更多

Computerized device for detecting NLCI is based on commercially available Gas Discharge Camera (www.ktispb.ru) and allows following time dynamics of several sensors in NLCI conditions. The typical sensors are: water, air, earth, and wood, this instrument was named "The 5th Element". Readings are taken continuously by special software every five or ten seconds in automatic mode. Sensitivity of the device was tested by detecting the influence of total sun eclipse in Siberia in 2008 and by detecting sunrise and sunset. Several experimental modalities have been developed: (1) directed NLCI of a person; (2) directed NLCI of a group of people; and (3) non-directed NLCI of a group of people. Experiments during many years demonstrated efficiency of the developed approach.展开更多

I maintain that becoming fully a person and respecting others as persons are achievements that are not assured for all of us. Thus, for the purpose I prepare the ground for an account of good life that rests on valuational consciousness. I propose that one may ascribe valuational consciousness to a person who is a value-sensitive rational being striving to attain a kind of inner transparency. And such a repository of values enables a human being to attain the ideal of good life. The ideal of good life, I contend, consists of attaining the higher order posture of selflessness--a posture of inner transparency. The latter holds that Damasio does not distinguish the concepts of phenomenal consciousness and self-consciousness and this has two kinds of consequences. One is that it cannot satisfactorily explain certain mental states (dreams, vegetative states); the other is that it has harmful consequences for animal ethics. I maintain that to compare the two theories we can only rely on our pre-theoretical intuition of consciousness. Thus, I argue that Dam^tsio's theory combines more with our intuitions. One of the reasons is that the cases that Block describes as phenomenal consciousness without access consciousness (and without self-consciousness) are best explained as being cases of mind without consciousness. Dam^sio's theory can also explain those referred cases which are theoretically problematic. Moreover, Dam^isio has a threshold model (an expression by Barry Dainton), which is something that Block seems to ignore. This model fits well with the intuitions and neurological knowledge that we normally have on animal consciousness. Dam^isio's core self and his theory of emotions and feelings allow us to understand why we feel compassion for animals. Therefore, we are able to develop an animal ethics, which does not mean that we are required to do so. So even though Damasio does not solve the mystery of consciousness, he should not be the subject of Block's criticism.展开更多

When it is used for surgery, a fairly rare but traumatizing state known as anesthesia awareness might develop. What is the probability that a patient can be awake, conscious, and able to hear the surroundings and experience excruciating pain but be immobilized to communicate it during surgery? According to estimates, there are 1 to 2 cases for every 1000 patients who experience this phenomenon and retain various sensory information after general anesthesia was applied. Even with seemingly effective anesthetic care, emerging consciousness states during anesthesia are reported and often come with various degrees of memory loss mechanisms. Some researchers and the experiments covered in this paper suggest anesthesia is merely a memory loss or poorly understood neurological form of amnesia induced during the event itself and not a loss of consciousness per se during the traumatic event, as suggested by studies described in this article. In some instances, the agony may be unbearable, with long-term neuropsychiatric effects such as post-traumatic stress disorder. Although the neurobiological phenomenon of consciousness regained during anesthesia is still poorly understood, these continuously reported events carry significant medical and legal ramifications. The numerous contributing elements that may increase the risk of intraoperative raised levels of consciousness are gathered, analyzed, and discussed in this research study. Preventive methods for both preinduction and intraoperative usage, as well as corrective actions to take after such occurrences, are also discussed.展开更多

As mentioned in the original study design, it was intended to use the GCP as a reference for the effectiveness of its activities. The data of the GEHP consisting of 21 events from 2013 to 2020 is analyzed and statistically compared to the data of the GCP. An astonishing synchronicity was observed, which suggests an interaction between the brain states of the observers and the physical noise generators of the GCP.展开更多

Preventive methods for both preinduction and intraoperative usage, as well as corrective actions to take after such occurrences, are also discussed.
文摘The issue of consciousness is a core issue in flow theory. The key element of flow is concentration, which is based on self-control and the order of consciousness.Flow usually gives people a feeling of ecstasy, but this disappearance of self-awareness does not mean the disappearance of the self.Self still controls actions and thinking. The abnormality of the sense of time in flow is related to the disappearance of self-consciousness.Reflection provides the dynamic situation of behavior and helps people adjust themselves in time to achieve the optimal experience of heart flow.
文摘In English classroom of higher vocational colleges, there exist two essential factors:teachers'reflective consciousness and students'reflective consciousness. The former is teachers'awareness of learning activities and effect, and it contains the teacher's reflections on the classroom practice, the presentation of learning tasks, the participation of students and the interaction between teachers and students in the classroom. The latter refers to students'awareness of self-improvement and the growing process. It focuses on the self-realization of students and their professional ability, method ability and social ability. The two factors are interactive to each other;in the interaction, the former is dominated, and the latter is strongly influenced;through the interaction,a harmonious classroom is constructed so as to achieve the effective teaching.
文摘This article aims to approach the“spontaneous healing”of Sister Bernardette Moriau from the view point of transpersonal psychology or psychology of consciousness and also to compare it with the“spiritual awakening”of the philosopher Jiddu Krishnamurti. Thus, within this scope of investigation, this article will refer to the so-called“modified states of consciousness”characteristic of these transcendental experiences, which are promoted by prayer and meditation, leading to“heat release”and“muscle relaxation”.These two cases of studies are part of the so-called“manifestations of the sacred”in the reality of contemporary society, which are studied by the Transcendence Neurology. This might contribute to a deeper knowledge of the role and place of ourselves in the Universe.
文摘Inspired by Roger Nelson’s Global Consciousness Project (GCP), the Global Earth Healing Project (GEHP) uses a network of several hundred physical noise generators to amplify the combined intentions of their users in order to infuse positive affirmations into the global consciousness. As mentioned in the original study design, it was intended to use the GCP as a reference for the effectiveness of its activities. The data of the GEHP consisting of 21 events from 2013 to 2020 is analyzed and statistically compared to the data of the GCP. An astonishing synchronicity was observed, which suggests an interaction between the brain states of the observers and the physical noise generators of the GCP.
文摘This paper starts with the analysis of the lack of students'innovation consciousness in the topic selection, and aims to improve the teachers cultivation of students innovation consciousness in the process of students topic selection.Five guidelines:guide students to bring forth new ideas in“minor topic selection”,combine with the practical situation of the major, seek for innovation in the intersection of multiple disciplines, seek for innovation in previous research problems and seek for innovation in problem discussion.
文摘The relationship between time and consciousness is what T.S.Eliot concerns much in his early modernist poem The love song of J.Alfred Prufrock. This paper is an analysis of the way Eliot employs the stream of consciousness technique to create a typical Western modern man who suffers greatly from meaningless life and spiritual crisis.
