The inhomogeneous sound speed in seawater causes refraction of sound waves,and the elimination of the refraction effect is essential to the accuracy of underwater acoustic positioning.The raytracing method is an indispensable tool for effectively handling problems.However,this method has a conflict between localization accuracy and computational quantity.The equivalent sound speed profile(ESSP)method uses a simple sound speed profile(SSP)instead of the actual complex SSP,which can improve positioning precision but with residual error.The residual error is especially non-negligible in deep water and at large beam incidence angles.By analyzing the residual error of the ESSP method through a simulation,an empirical formula of error is presented.The data collected in the sailing circle mode(large incidence angle)of the South China Sea are used for verification.The experiments show that compared to the ESSP method,the improved algorithm has higher positioning precision and is more efficient than the ray-tracing method. 展开更多

Global uniform chart datum(CD)surface construction is the basic upon which to realize various vertical datums transformation,and is of great importance for geospatial data expression under the same vertical datum.Generally,the CD level is computed by developing the function between tidal constituents’harmonic constants and time,i.e.,the lowest astronomical tide is taken as the lowest predicted tide level by adopting the major constituents over a 19-a period.The CD surface prescribed in China is the theoretical lowest tide(TLT)and is calculated using 13 tidal constituents,i.e.,short-period(Q_(1),O_(1),P_(1),K_(1),N_(2),M_(2),S_(2),K_(2),M_(4),MS_(4)and M_(6))and long-period(Sa and Ssa)tidal constituents.Although the accuracy in determining short-period tidal constituents has improved gradually,the long-period tide has not been studied thoroughly owing to nonstationary and temporal variations.Previous studies have intended to evaluate the effect of Sa and Ssa tides in the determination of the TLT level for the purpose of determining a more accurate CD surface for the China seas and adjacent waters.Here,the parameters of long-period tidal correction and long-period tidal correction rate were treated as the effect of both Sa and Ssa on the TLT,and the TOPEX/Poseidon and Jason series satellite altimetry data ranged from October 1992 to April 2022 were adopted to analyze the contribution of long-period tidal constituents.Results showed that the average long-period correction value is 10.10 cm(range from 8.57 cm to 14.98 cm),and that the average long-period tidal contribution rate is 14.56%(range from 9.09%to 23.97%)in the China seas and adjacent waters.Finally,data from 82 tide gauge station with at least a 1-a record of hourly observations were compared with satellite-derived result.We concluded that the long-period tidal contribution should not be neglected in TLT construction.Furthermore,to reduce tidal datum uncertainty,accurate extraction of long-period tidal constituents should receive closer attentions. 展开更多

Static corrections using the conventional method are basically conducted in two steps, the weathering correction followed by the correction from the top of the sub-weathering to the unified datum. However, the conventional method fails to well deal with statics problems in case the top of the sub-weathering is sharply undulated and the lateral velocity of the sub-weathering varies significantly. This brings us to the introduction of a smooth intermediate reference datum (IRD) located under the top of the sub-weathering, which helps to further increase the accuracy of statics based on the weathering corrections, and ensures the imaging quality. Good results based on the IRD technique have been achieved in the complex areas in western China. This paper discusses the IRD functions, its application requirements, and selection of related parameters. Some typical sections for comparison are also given in this paper. 展开更多

The effect of different floating datum corrections was studied using theoretical model experiments, resulting in the conclusion that the velocity obtained after the floating datum correction with the minimum static correction errors depends on the velocity of the layer below the low velocity layer (LVL) lower boundary and is not related to topographic relief and LVL structure. For the real data processing case, wave equation numerical model experiments were conducted which resulted in a new method for calculating objective functions based on the waveform and modifications to the calculation equation for minimum static correction errors to make the method suitable for real data static correction processing using inhomogeneous velocity models with lower velocity boundary relief. Real data processing results demonstrate the method's superiority. 展开更多

When topography and low velocity zone differences vary greatly, conventional vertical static time shifts will cause wavefield distortion and influence wave equation seismic imaging for seismic data acquired on a complex near surface. In this paper, we propose an approach to datum correction that combines a joint tomography inversion with wavefield continuation to solve the static problem for seismic data on rugged acquisition topography. First, the near surface model is obtained by refracted wave tomography inversion. Second, the wavefield of sources and receivers are continued downward and upward to accomplish datum correction starting from a flat surface and locating the datum above topography. Based on the reciprocal theorem, Huygens' and Fresnel principles, the location of sources and receivers, and regarding the recorded data on the surface as a secondary emission, the sources and receivers are upward-continued to the datum above topography respectively. Thus, the datum correction using joint tomography inversion and wavefield continuation with the condition of a complex near surface is accomplished. 展开更多

The Gauss-Markov (GM) model and the Errors-in-Variables (EIV) model are frequently used to perform 3D coordinate transformations in geodesy and engineering surveys. In these applications, because the observation errors in original coordinates system are also taken into account, the latter is more accurate and reasonable than the former. Although the Weighted Total Least Squares (WTLS) technique has been intro- duced into coordinate transformations as the measured points are heteroscedastic and correlated, the Variance- Covariance Matrix (VCM) of observations is restricted by a particular structure, namely, only the correlations of each points are taken into account. Because the 3D datum transformation with large rotation angle is a non- linear problem, the WTLS is no longer suitable in this ease. In this contribution, we suggested the nonlinear WTLS adjustments with equality constraints (NWTLS-EC) for 3D datum transformation with large rotation an- gle, which removed the particular structure restriction on the VCM. The Least Squares adjustment with Equality (LSE) constraints is employed to solve NWTLS-EC as the nonlinear model has been linearized, and an iterative algorithm is proposed with the LSE solution. A simulation study of 3D datum transformation with large rotation angle is given to insight into the feasibility of our algorithm at last. 展开更多

The current piecewise linear interpolation balance method widely used has two drawbacks that always lead to an unsatisfactory balance among some cities. When the excess of land price in the central city to the surrounding zone reaches a certain degree, land price in the circumjacent city is not only consistent with the local land grade and land use level, but also influenced by the diffusion of land price in the central city. Thus, a new balanced scheme of datum land prices based on the city gravitation model and stochastic diffusion equation is brought forward. Multiple Ambiguity Datum Precise Point Positioning Technique Using Multi-Constellation GNSS: GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou 被引量:2

Precise Point Positioning (PPP) is traditionally based on dual-frequency observations of GPS or GPS/GLONASS satellite navigation systems. Recently, new GNSS constellations, such as the European Galileo and the Chinese BeiDou are developing rapidly. With the new IGS project known as IGS MGEX which produces highly accurate GNSS orbital and clock products, multi-constellations PPP becomes feasible. On the other hand, the un-differenced ionosphere-free is commonly used as standard precise point positioning technique. However, the existence of receiver and satellite biases, which are absorbed by the ambiguities, significantly affected the convergence time. Between-satellite-single-difference (BSSD) ionosphere free PPP technique is traditionally used to cancel out the receiver related biases from both code and phase measurements. This paper introduces multiple ambiguity datum (MAD) PPP technique which can be applied to separate the code and phase measurements removing the receiver and satellite code biases affecting the GNSS receiver phase clock and ambiguities parameters. The mathematical model for the three GNSS PPP techniques is developed by considering the current full GNSS constellations. In addition, the current limitations of the GNSS PPP techniques are discussed. Static post-processing results for a number of IGS MGEX GNSS stations are presented to investigate the contribution of the newly GNSS system observations and the newly developed GNSS PPP techniques and its limitations. The results indicate that the additional Galileo and BeiDou observations have a marginal effect on the positioning accuracy and convergence time compared with the existence combined GPS/GLONASS PPP. However, reference to GPS PPP, the contribution of BeiDou observations can be considered geographically dependent. In addition, the results show that the BSSD PPP models slightly enhance the convergence time compared with other PPP techniques. However, both the standard un-differenced and the developed multiple ambiguity datum techniques present comparable positioning accuracy and convergence time due to the lack of code and phase-based satellite clock products and the mathematical correlation between the positioning and ambiguity parameters. 展开更多

Many older maps are lacking this information, making their use cumbersome. The availability of an aerial coverage at high resolution of Burundi and digital elevation model, based on a novel geodetic network, all calculated on the WGS84 datum, allows to calculate the datum applicable to older maps, for instance the regular 1/50k map of the country. The method, based on the difference in geocentric coordinates between points common to the two systems, yields: Δx = -156.71 ± 10.2 m, .Δy = -3.26 ± 13.2 m, .Δz = -290.77 ± 21.06 m, well in keeping with older values proposed by the NGA. 展开更多

Based on the analyses of geodetic deformation datum, the concepts of real datum and relative datum of displacements associated with an earthquake are put foward. Introducting a deformation datum parameter into model parameter vector can enable the reference station to be set in the epicentral areas. Two improved inversionmethods, the deformation datum parameter (DDP) method and deformation difference (DD) method, are advanced in this paper. They are further applied to dislocation model inversion of the 1990 Gonghe Ms7.0 earthquake. The inversion results inferred by using the two methods are well consistent with each other, which basically reflect the source geometry and the slip of the causative fault. 展开更多

The result shows that when this effect is corrected, anomalous gravity changes before the 2008 Wenchuan Ms8. 0 earthquake become obvious and characteristically distinctive. Since 1990, positioning technology has undergone a dramatic improvement in terms of accuracy and accessibility. Prior to 1990, national geodetic datums were considered to be static with fixed coordinates assigned to the datum origin by convention. Datum coordinates were dynamic only as a consequence of re-observation and re-adjustment, or localized disturbance. This strategy has been suitable for terrestrial surveys within stable continental areas. The accessibility of Precise Point Positioning “PPP” is now widespread with the provision of free online processing facilities by various geodetic agencies. Such ready accessibility to a global datum has serious implication for this technology with static geocentric datums. The Geocentric Datum of Egypt (ITRF1994 Epoch 1996 based on GPS Observation Campaign 1996), for example, is now offset by -42.0 to +32.0cm from the ITRF2008 Epoch 2015 due to the inexorable tectonic movements of the Nubian plate since the datum realization in 1996. Unless the local geocentric datums are kept in step with global terrestrial reference frames, discrepancies between the two will increase in magnitude over time and will become discernable, even using PPP. The PPP users nowadays are unaware of this datum offset and incorrectly assume that a coordinated datum monument is in error if there is found to be a disagreement greater than the level of accuracy of the positioning technique. In this study, to avoid the discrepancies between the applied datum and On-Line GNSS Services, a semi-kinematic datum and related deformation mode are proposed for Egypt. The result also confirmed that the PMM model was giving good performance for the other parts out of Egypt.
