As the frequency splitting occurs the frequency of the maximum power transfer is no longer with the natural resonance frequency which can make the system unstable and the transfer power more difficult to control. Therefore a decreasing-frequency method is proposed to avoid the system frequency splitting. And decreasing the system resonance frequency can make the system successfully withdraw the frequency splitting area at a short-distance range.Under the fixed load condition the transmission power of the system can be increased by 400% and the transmission efficiency is reduced by only 14% which greatly improves the transmission performance of the system.展开更多

The results indicate that HadGEM1 performs well in simulating the observed decreasing trend of global land monsoon precipitation over the past 50 years. This trend mainly occurred in the Northern Hemisphere and is significantly different from the trend of natural variability due to ocean-atmosphere-land interactions. The coherence between the simulation and the observations indicates that the specified external forcing agents, including GHGs and aerosols as well as solar variability and ozone, are important factors that have affected the decreasing trend of global land monsoon precipitation in the past 50 years.展开更多

This study analyzes the change in summer precipitation since 1951 over the western Sichuan basin, one of the regions of the heaviest rainfall in China, by using two datasets provided by the Chinese Meteorological Data Center. The results indicate that summer (from June to September) precipitation over the western Sichuan basin shows a significantly decreasing trend. The summer precipitation over this region has decreased by about 20% since the 1950s, with a rate of decrease of about 40 mm per decade.展开更多

We demonstrate that asymmetric W-shaped and M-shaped soliton pulse can be generated from a weak modulation on continuous wave background. The numerical simulation results indicate that the generated asymmetric soliton pulses are robust against small noise or perturbation. In particular, the asymmetric degree of the asymmetric soliton pulse can be effectively controlled by changing the relative frequency of the two components. This character can be used to generate other nonlinear localized waves, such as dark-antidark and antidark-dark soliton pulse pair, symmetric W-shaped and M-shaped soliton pulse. A dose-response relationship for cisplatin and potentiation of verapamil in increasing vincristine inhibition to ovarian cancer were investigated. A 5- fold increase of cisplatin density converted the tumors which were initially resistance to standard-dose cisplatin Into drug-sensitive ones. Vera-pamil was found to be able to overcome vincristine-resistance of some tumors in vitro. These results suggest that using high dose cisplatin therapy or increasing local drug concentration by using other administration way, we could expect some ovarian cancers that had failed to standard dose cisplatin therapy to be effective. In this study, the impact of climate changes and human activities was initially qualitatively distinguished through a coupled water and energy budgets analysis, and then this effect was further separated by means of a quantitative estimation based on hydrological sensitivity analysis. The results show that: 1) precipitation, wind speed, potential evapotranspiration and runoff have a significantly decreasing trend, while temperature has a remarkably increasing tendency in the Weihe River Basin, China; 2) the major driving factor on runoff decrease in the 1970 s and 1990 s in the basin is climate changes compared with that in the baseline 1960 s, while that in the 1980 s and 2000 s is human activities. Compared with the results based on Variable Infiltration Capacity(VIC) model, the contributions calculated in this study have certain reliability. The results are of great significance to local water resources planning and management.展开更多

Here we directly compare observed variations in arctic sea-ice extent and CO 2 since the beginning of the 20th century, identifying a strengthening linkage, such that in recent decades the rate of sea-ice decrease mirrors the increase in CO 2 , with r ~ -0.95 over the last four decades, thereby indicating that 90% (r 2 ~ 0.90) of the decreasing sea-ice extent is empirically "accounted for" by the increasing CO 2 in the atmosphere. The author presents an empirical relation between annual sea-ice extent and global atmospheric CO 2 concentrations, in which sea-ice reductions are linearly, inversely proportional to the magnitude of increase of CO 2 over the last few decades. This approximates sea-ice changes during the most recent four decades, with a proportionality constant of 0.030 million km 2 per ppmv CO 2 . When applied to future emission scenarios of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), this relationship results in substantially faster ice decreases up to 2050 than predicted by IPCC models. However, departures from this projection may arise from non-linear feedback effects and/or temporary natural variations on interannual timescales, such as the record minimum of sea-ice extent observed in September 2007.展开更多

文摘Background Recent studies have reported a significant decline in human semen quality worldwide, raising concerns about climate change and its extensive effects on human health and biodiversity. Methods This article investigates the correlation between deteriorating semen quality and changing climate conditions, within the context of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs).It aims to explore the linkage between decreasing semen quality and climate change, and to understand its implications for population dynamics, reproductive health and sustainabillity. Results Integrating findings within the SDGs framework, the study emphasises SDG 3(good health and well-being),SDG 13(climate action)and SDG 15(life on land).A multidisciplinary approach, incorporating data from environmental science, epidemiology and demography,is used to statistically analyse global and regional trends in semen quality against climate variability indicators, such as temperature fluctuations and pollution levels.Preliminary findings indicate a strong correlation between adverse climate conditions and reduced semen quality, suggesting potential impacts on fertility rates and population health. The research highlights the importance of climate action(SDG 13)in protecting human reproductive health and ensuring population stability(SDG 3),while emphasising the interconnectedness of ecosystem health and human well-being(SDG 15).Conclusion The article calls for integrated palicy responses addressing climate change and reproductive health as interconnected challenges, advocating for enhanced cross-sectoral collaboration to achieve the SDGs through comprehensive strategies encompassing environmental protection, reproductive healthcare and population management for a sustainable future.

文摘Robustness of deep neural networks(DNNs)has caused great concerns in the academic and industrial communities, especially in safety-critical domains.Instead of verifying whether the robustness property holds or not in certain neural networks, this paper focuses on training robust neural networks with respect to given perturbations.State-of-the-art training methods, interval bound propagation(IBP)and CROWN-IBP,perform well with respect to small perturbations, but their performance declines significantly in large perturbation cases, which is termed“drawdown risk”in this paper.Specifically, drawdown risk refers to the phenomenon that IBPfamily training methods cannot provide expected robust neural networks in larger perturbation cases,as in smaller perturbation cases. To alleviate the unexpected drawdown risk,we propose a global and monotonically decreasing robustness training strategy that takes multiple perturbations into account during each training epoch(global robustness training),and the corresponding robustness losses are combined with monotonically decreasing weights(monotonically decreasing robustness training). With experimental demonstrations, our presented strategy maintains performance on small perturbations and the drawdown risk on large perturbations is alleviated to a great extent. It is also noteworthy that our training method achieves higher model accuracy than the original training methods, which means that our presented training strategy gives more balanced consideration to robustness and accuracy.

文摘Experiments on grouting-reinforced rock mass specimens with different particle sizes and features were carried out in this study to examine the effects of grouting reinforcement on the load-bearing characteristics of fractured rock mass. The strength and deformation features of grouting-reinforced rock mass were analyzed under different loading manners;the energy evolution mechanism of grouting-reinforced rock mass specimens with different particle sizes and features was investigated;the energy dissipation ratio and post-peak stress decreasing rate were employed to evaluate the bearing stability of grouting-reinforced rock mass. The results show that the strength and ductility of granite-reinforced rock mass(GRM)under biaxial loading are higher than that of sandstone-reinforced rock mass(SRM)under uniaxial loading.Besides, the energy evolution characteristics of grouting-reinforced rock mass under uniaxial and biaxial loading mainly could be divided into early, middle, and late stages. In the early stage, total, elastic, and dissipation energies were quite small with flatter curves;in the middle stage, elastic energy increased rapidly, whereas dissipation energy increased slowly;in the late stage, dissipation energy increased sharply. The energy dissipation ratio was used to represent the pre-peak plastic deformation.Under uniaxial loading, this ratio increased as the particle size increased and the pre-peak plastic deformation of grouting-reinforced rock mass became larger;under biaxial loading,it dropped as the particle size increased, and the pre-peak plastic deformation of grouting-reinforced rock mass became smaller. The post-peak stress decline rate A_(v) was used to assess the post-peak bearing performance of grouting-reinforced rock mass.Under uniaxial loading, parameter A_(v) exhibited reduction as the particle size kept increasing, and the ability of post-peak of grouting-reinforced rock mass to allow deformation development was greater, and the bearing capacity was greater;under biaxial loading,A_(v) increased with the particle size, and the ability of post-peak of grouting-reinforced rock mass to allow deformation development was low and the bearing capacity was reduced. The findings are considered instrumental in improving the stability of the roadway-surrounding rock by granite and sandstone grouting.

文摘Most known results on existence, uniqueness and stability for solutions of the polynomial-like iterative equation ∑ni=1λifi(x) = F(x) were obtained in the case of λ1 ≠0. In this paper, we construct Co decreasing solutions of the iterative equation in the case that A1 can vanish to answer the Leading Coeffi- cient Problem. Moreover, we also give the necessary and sufficiently condition for uniqueness of solutions.
