First, requisite features, possible features and impossible features are proposed on the basis of semantic analysis and their interrelationships and expressions are discussed. Then it is further argued that all figures formed due to shift of cognitive relation are expressed to accept an impossible feature; and there are four semantic forms to accept it: “zero distance/distanced”, “implicit/explicit”, “direct/indirect”, “positive/negative”. Finally, starting from the two approaches to figures we comment on the traditional idea of separating decoration and substance and the new idea of “function as form”.展开更多

This paper proposes a secure mobility support mechanism in e Xpressive Internet Architecture(XIA),a new FIA currently under development as part of the US National Science Foundation's(NSF) program. Utilizing the natural features of ID/locator decoupling and versatile routing in XIA, a general mechanism to support host mobility is proposed. Exploiting the self-certifying identifier, a secure binding update protocol to overcome the potential threats introduced by the proposed mobility support mechanism is also given. We demonstrate that our design in XIA outperforms IP based solutions in terms of efficiency and flexibility. We also outline our initial design to illustrate one derivative benefit of an evolvable architecture:mobility support customizability with no sacrifice of architectural generality.展开更多

Methods: The survey included 1 987 Chinese university students who completed questionnaires on PTS symptoms in February 2020, with three follow-up surveys at two-month intervals until August 2020. We assessed CR and ES at February 2020 and PTG at August 2020. Growth mixture modeling was used to classify the PTS symptom trajectories. Multinomial logistic regression was used to recognize the predictors of class membership. The relationships among PTS symptoms, CR, ES, and PTG were examined using multi-group path analysis. Results: Sex, SARS-Co V-2 infection of a family member or friend, number of siblings, CR, and ES were significantly associated with PTS symptoms. Three latent classes were identified: ‘Increasing PTS’(n=205, 10.0%) who had rapid deterioration of PTS symptoms, ‘Moderate PTS’(n=149, 8.0%) who had a high level of PTS symptoms at the beginning and slightly increasing, and ‘Persistent Minimal PTS’(n=1 633, 82.0%), who had slow resolution of PTS symptoms over time. Male, SARS-Co V-2 infection of a family member or friend, and having a lower CR and a higher ES, were more likely to have ‘Increasing PTS’. PTS at February 2020 predicted PTG only in ‘Increasing PTS’ class, and both CR and ES had moderating effects on the conversion between them. Conclusions: Most students recovered from posttraumatic stress of COVID-19 pandemic, but a small proportion expeienced increasing PTS symptoms, and those with this condition may benefit from emotional regulation intervention.展开更多

[ Method ] Rat neurons were cultured conventionally and randomly separated into two groups. The experimental group was trea- ted with 5 μg/rnl Rbl for 20 min, while control group was added with the same amount of medium. After cell lysis, the whole-cell protein was extracted. Two-di- mensional electrophoresis (2-DE) was used to separate the extracts. Differential expression of proteome between the two groups was analyzed by using ImageMaster 2D Platinum v5.0 software and the two protein spots expressed differently were selected for differential identification with MALDI-TOF-MS. [ Result] Based on the matching and comparative analysis of the protein spots, 418 protein spots were detected in experimental group, including 226 protein spots with differently expres- sive levels; according to the mass spectrometry, the two ginsenoside Rbl-related and differentially-expressed protein spots were identified as cytochrome P-450 and phosducin-like protein, and both of them were phosphorylated proteins. [ Conclusion ] This study showed that the functions of those identified proteins were in- volved in signal transduction, suggesting that the effect of ginsenoside Rbl on expressive proteome of rat neurons might be related to the corresponding signal trans- duction networks.展开更多

How the brain, often seamlessly, selects, controls, and switches between languages is an enigma. Neuroimaging studies offer the unique opportunity to probe the mechanisms underlying bilingual brain function. Non-invasive methods, in particular, functional MRI (fMRI) and event-related potentials (ERPs), have allowed examination in healthy control populations. Whole-head magnetoencephalography (MEG), a relatively new addition to the cadre of neuroimaging tools, offers a combination of the high spatial resolution of fMRI with the high temporal resolution of ERPs. Thus far, MEG has been applied to the studies of bilingual receptive language, or bilingual language comprehension. MEG has not yet been applied to the study of bilingual language production as such studies have faced more challenges (see Salmelin, 2007 for a review), and these have only recently been addressed. Here, we review the literature on MEG expressive language studies and point out a direction for the application of MEG to the study of bilingual language production.展开更多

文摘Degenerative cervical myelopathy is a common cause of spinal cord injury, with longer symptom duration and higher myelopathy severity indicating a worse prognosis. While numerous studies have investigated serological biomarkers for acute spinal cord injury, few studies have explored such biomarkers for diagnosing degenerative cervical myelopathy. This study involved 30 patients with degenerative cervical myelopathy(51.3±7.3 years old,12 women and 18 men),seven healthy controls(25.7±1.7 years old,one woman and six men),and nine patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy(51.9±8.6 years old, three women and six men).Analysis of blood samples from the three groups showed clear differences in transcriptomic characteristics.Enrichment analysis identified 128 differentially expressed genes that were enriched in patients with neurological disabilities.Using least absolute shrinkage and selection operator analysis,we constructed a five-gene model(TBCD,TPM2,PNKD,EIF4G2,and AP5Z1)to diagnose degenerative cervical myelopathy with an accuracy of 93.5%.One-gene models(TCAP and SDHA)identified mild and severe degenerative cervical myelopathy with accuracies of 83.3%and 76.7%,respectively.Signatures of two immune cell types(memory B cells and memory-activated CD4^(+)T cells)predicted levels of lesions in degenerative cervical myelopathy with 80%accuracy.Our results suggest that peripheral blood RNA biomarkers could be used to predict lesion severity in degenerative cervical myelopathy.
文摘This editorial examines a recent study that used radiomics based on computed tomography(CT)to predict the expression of the fibroblast-related gene enhancer of zeste homolog 2(EZH2)and its correlation with the survival of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).By integrating radiomics with molecular analysis, the study presented a strategy for accurately predicting the expression of EZH2 from CT scans. The findings demonstrated a strong link between the radiomics model,EZH2 expression, and patient prognosis. This noninvasive approach provides valuable insights into the therapeutic management of HCC.
文摘The study by Cao et al aimed to identify early second-trimester biomarkers that could predict gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)development using advanced proteomic techniques, such as Isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantitation isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantitation and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry.Their analysis revealed 47 differentially expressed proteins in the GDM group, with retinol-binding protein 4 and angiopoietin-like 8 showing significantly elevated serum levels compared to controls.Although these findings are promising, the study is limited by its small sample size(n=4 per group)and lacks essential details on the reproducibility and reliability of the protein quantification methods used.Furthermore, the absence of experimental validation weakens the interpretation of the protein-protein interaction network identified through bioinformatics analysis. The study's focus on second-trimester biomarkers raises concerns about whether this is a sufficiently early period to implement preventive interventions for GDM.Predicting GDM risk during the first trimester or pre-conceptional period may offer more clinical relevance.Despite its limitations, the study presents valuable insights into potential GDM biomarkers, but larger,well-validated studies are needed to establish their predictive utility and generalizability.

文摘Bilingualism is the ability to use two or more languages with equal or near equal fluency. Here, we review the literature on MEG expressive language studies and point out a direction for the application of MEG to the study of bilingual language production.
