To analyze factors that affect the detection probability of six laser range-finders of rotating rocket,taking a missile as the target,the detection model was established according to a detection mechanism.Based on the...To analyze factors that affect the detection probability of six laser range-finders of rotating rocket,taking a missile as the target,the detection model was established according to a detection mechanism.Based on the model,the detection probability was calculated via Monte Carlo method under different conditions.With the calculation results,the relationship of detection probability with the rolling rate and the missile velocity was illustrated in figures,when the laser emitting frequency was 10 kHz,20 kHz,30 kHz respectively under the condition that rocket met the front of missile as well as the condition that rocket met the rear of missile.The figures show that the detection probability increases as laser emitting frequency increases or the rolling rate increases,while it decreases as the missile velocity increases.Detection probability is higher when rocket meets the front of missile than that when rocket meets the rear of missile.In order to maintain a track of approaching Mach 2 targets,rotation rate should be more than 100 r/s.展开更多

Finding truth from a huge dataset has attracted extensive attention, which can maintain the quality of data collected by users and provide users with accurate and efficient data. However, current truth finder algorithms are unsatisfying, because of their low accuracy and complication. This paper proposes a truth finder algorithm based on entity attributes (TFAEA). Based on the iterative computation of source reliability and fact accuracy, TFAEA considers the interactive degree among facts and the degree of dependence among sources, to simplify the typical truth finder algorithms. In order to improve the accuracy of them, TFAEA combines the one-way text similarity and the factual conflict to calculate the mutual support degree among facts. Furthermore, TFAEA utilizes the symmetric saturation of data sources to calculate the degree of dependence among sources. The experimental results show that TFAEA is not only more stable, but also more accurate than the typical truth finder algorithms.展开更多

In this paper, a novel curb detection method using a 2D laser range fmder in an urban environment was presented. Secondly, curb points were extracted from multi.frame laser data based on spatial-temporal correlation analysis. Finally. the straight and curved curbs were detected by coordinate axis conversion least square linear fitting method and piecewise weighted least square fitting model respectively. In formulating an approach to the climate crisis,the cultural institutions should redefine their neutral position,or rather define whether the term“neutral”juxtaposes the climate crisis with human freedom projects r...In formulating an approach to the climate crisis,the cultural institutions should redefine their neutral position,or rather define whether the term“neutral”juxtaposes the climate crisis with human freedom projects related to race or gender.Maintaining neutrality as an overall principle,I argue a cultural political approach as a part of the agenda set in cultural institutions,both political and ethical,by reading an attempt by Pierre Bourdieu to engage the cultural field in not letting economics undermine its independency,and later through Walter Benjamin’s view on the thorough reader.By connecting Benjamin to Julia Kristeva’s use of Freud’s theory on the unnameable as a phobia,having to be treated in other terms than the“greenwashing of language”undertaken by politicians and social engineers,the cultural institutions could get onto the peloton and act as a path finder.Although funded and supported,cultural institutions have the advantage of a non-profit service to communities who seek information,entertainment,and tools,not having to compete on an open marked.展开更多
Typically extrema filtration techniques are based on non-parametric properties such as magnitude of prominences and the widths at half prominence, which cannot be used with data that possess a dynamic nature. In this ...Typically extrema filtration techniques are based on non-parametric properties such as magnitude of prominences and the widths at half prominence, which cannot be used with data that possess a dynamic nature. In this work, an extrema identification that is totally independent of derivative-based approaches and independent of quantitative attributes is introduced. For three consecutive positive terms arranged in a line, the ratio (R) of the sum of the maximum and minimum to the sum of the three terms is always 2/n, where n is the number of terms and 2/3 ≤ R ≤ 1 when n = 3. R > 2/3 implies that one term is away from the other two terms. Applying suitable modifications for the above stated hypothesis, the method was developed and the method is capable of identifying peaks and valleys in any signal. Furthermore, three techniques were developed for filtering non-dominating, sharp, gradual, low and high extrema. Especially, all the developed methods are non-parametric and suitable for analyzing processes that have dynamic nature such as biogas data. The methods were evaluated using automatically collected biogas data. Results showed that the extrema identification method was capable of identifying local extrema with 0% error. Furthermore, the non-parametric filtering techniques were able to distinguish dominating, flat, sharp, high, and low extrema in the biogas data with high robustness.展开更多
