We apply a finite difference method based on triangular grids for post-stack reverse-time migration for the first time. A detailed theoretical analysis of the pressure distribution of the orifice-compensated aerostatic journal bearing is presented. The nonlinear dimensionless Reynolds equation of the aerostatic journal bearing is solved by the finite difference method. The dynamic governing equation is expressed as finite difference format and programmed by using MATLAB language. Compared with theoretical method, the finite difference method has been verified to be feasible by a case study. It is found that under seismic loading, the dynamic response of anchorage system is synchronously fluctuated with the seismic vibration. The change of displacement amplitude of material points is slight, and comparatively speaking, the displacement amplitude of the outside point is a little larger than that of the inside point, which shows amplification effect of surface. However, for the re-entry operation, risers held by vessels are in vertical free hanging state, so the displacement and velocity of lower joint would not be zero. For the model of free hanging flexible marine risers, the paper proposed a Finite Difference Approximation (FDA) method for its dynamic calculation. The riser is divided into a reasonable number of rigid discrete segments. And the dynamic model is established based on simple Euler-Bemoulli Beam Theory concerning tension, shear forces and bending moments at each node along the cylindrical structures, which is extendible for different boundary conditions. The governing equations with specific boundary conditions for riser's free hanging state are simplified by Keller-box method and solved with Newton iteration algorithm for a stable dynamic solution. The calculation starts when the riser is vertical and still in calm water, and its behavior is obtained along time responding to the lateral forward motion at the top. The dynamic behavior in response to the lateral parametric excitation at the top is also proposed and discussed in this paper.展开更多

文摘Characteristic finite difference fractional step schemes are put forward. The electric potential equation is described by a seven-point finite difference scheme, and the electron and hole concentration equations are treated by a kind of characteristic finite difference fractional step methods. The temperature equation is described by a fractional step method. Thick and thin grids are made use of to form a complete set. Piecewise threefold quadratic interpolation, symmetrical extension, calculus of variations, commutativity of operator product, decomposition of high order difference operators and prior estimates are also made use of. Optimal order estimates in l2 norm are derived to determine the error of the approximate solution. The well-known problem is thorongley and completely solred.

文摘Mesh-free finite difference(FD)methods can improve the geometric flexibility of modeling without the need for lattice mapping or complex meshing process.Radial-basisfunction-generated FD is among the most commonly used mesh-free FD methods and can accurately simulate seismic wave propagation in the non-rectangular computational domain. In this paper,we propose a perfectly matched layer(PML)boundary condition for a meshfree FD solution of the elastic wave equation, which can be applied to the boundaries of the non-rectangular velocity model. The performance of the PML is,however, severely reduced for near-grazing incident waves and low-frequency waves. We thus also propose the complexfrequency-shifted PML(CFS-PML)boundary condition for a mesh-free FD solution of the elastic wave equation. For two PML boundary conditions,we derive unsplit time-domain expressions by constructing auxiliary differential equations, both of which require less memory and are easy for programming.Numerical experiments demonstrate that these two PML boundary conditions effectively eliminate artificial boundary reflections in mesh-free FD simulations. When compared with the PML boundary condition, the CFS-PML boundary condition results in better absorption for near-grazing incident waves and evanescent waves.
文摘The ground penetrating radar(GPR) forward simulation all aims at the singular and regular models, such as sandwich model, round cavity, square cavity, and so on, which are comparably simple. But as to the forward of curl interface underground or “v” figure complex model, it is difficult to realize. So it is important to forward the complex geoelectricity model. This paper takes two Maxwell’s vorticity equations as departure point, makes use of the principles of Yee’s space grid model theory and the basic principle finite difference time domain method, and deduces a GPR forward system of equation of two dimensional spaces. The Mur super absorbed boundary condition is adopted to solve the super strong reflection on the interceptive boundary when there is the forward simulation. And a self-made program is used to process forward simulation to two typical geoelectricity model.

文摘A three-dimensional (3D) predictor-corrector finite difference method for standing wave is developed. It is applied to solve the 3D nonlinear potential flow equa- tions with a free surface. The 3D irregular tank is mapped onto a fixed cubic tank through the proper coordinate transform schemes. The cubic tank is distributed by the staggered meshgrid, and the staggered meshgrid is used to denote the variables of the flow field. The predictor-corrector finite difference method is given to develop the difference equa- tions of the dynamic boundary equation and kinematic boundary equation. Experimental results show that, using the finite difference method of the predictor-corrector scheme, the numerical solutions agree well with the published results. The wave profiles of the standing wave with different amplitudes and wave lengths are studied. The numerical solutions are also analyzed and presented graphically.

文摘The dynamic calculations of slender marine risers, such as Finite Element Method (FEM) or Modal Expansion Solution Method (MESM), are mainly for the slender structures with their both ends hinged to the surface and bottom. The dynamic behavior in response to the lateral parametric excitation at the top is also proposed and discussed in this paper.

文摘A fast explicit finite difference method (FEFDM),derived from the differential equations of one-dimensional steady pipe flow, was presented for calculation of wellhead injection pressure.Recalculation with a traditional numerical method of the same equations corroborates well the reliability and rate of FEFDM.Moreover,a flow rate estimate method was developed for the project whose injection rate has not been clearly determined.A wellhead pressure regime determined by this method was successfully applied to the trial injection operations in Shihezi formation of Shenhua CCS Project, which is a good practice verification of FEFDM.At last, this method was used to evaluate the effect of friction and acceleration terms on the flow equation on the wellhead pressure. The result shows that for deep wellbore, the friction term can be omitted when flow rate is low and in a wide range of velocity the acceleration term can always be deleted. It is also shown that with flow rate increasing, the friction term can no longer be neglected.
文摘Present contribution is concerned with the construction and application of a numerical method for the fluid flow problem over a linearly stretching surface with the modification of standard Gradient descent Algorithm to solve the resulted difference equation. The flow problem is constructed using continuity, and Navier Stoke equations and these PDEs are further converted into boundary value problem by applying suitable similarity transformations.A central finite difference method is proposed that gives third-order accuracy using three grid points. The stability conditions of the present proposed method using a Gauss-Seidel iterative procedure is found using Von-Neumann stability criteria and order of the finite difference method is proved by applying the Taylor series on the discretised equation. The comparison of the presently modified optimisation algorithm with the Gauss-Seidel iterative method and standard Newton’s method in optimisation is also made.It can be concluded that the presently modified optimisation Algorithm takes a few iterations to converge with a small value of the parameter contained in it compared with the standard descent algorithm that may take millions of iterations to converge. The present modification of the steepest descent method converges faster than Gauss-Seidel method and standard steepest descent method, and it may also overcome the deficiency of singular hessian arise in Newton’s method for some of the cases that may arise in optimisation problem(s).
