Application of He’s Variational Iteration Method for the Analytical Solution of Space Fractional Diffusion Equation

Spatially fractional order diffusion equations are generalizations of classical diffusion equations which are increasingly used in modeling practical super diffusive problems in fluid flow, finance and others areas of application. This paper presents the analytical solutions of the space fractional diffusion equations by variational iteration method (VIM). By using initial conditions, the explicit solutions of the equations have been presented in the closed form. Two examples, the first one is one-dimensional and the second one is two-dimensional fractional diffusion equation, are presented to show the application of the present techniques. The present method performs extremely well in terms of efficiency and simplicity. 展开更多

Laplace transformation with the homotopy method is called He-Laplace method. A comparison is made among Adomain decomposition method and He-Laplace. Without any discretization or transformation, PIM provides a sequence of functions which converges to the exact solution of problem. Our emphasis will be on an auxiliary parameter which directly affects on the rate of convergence. Comparison of PIM and the Variational Iteration Method (VIM) is given to show the preference of PIM over VIM. Analytical Algorithm for Systems of Neutral Delay Differential Equations

Delay differential equations (DDEs), as well as neutral delay differential equations (NDDEs), are often used as a fundamental tool to model problems arising from various areas of sciences and engineering. However, NDDEs particularly the systems of these equations are special transcendental in nature;it has therefore, become a challenging task or times almost impossible to obtain a convergent approximate analytical solution of such equation. Therefore, this study introduced an analytical method to obtain solution of linear and nonlinear systems of NDDEs. The proposed technique is a combination of Homotopy analysis method (HAM) and natural transform method, and the He’s polynomial is modified to compute the series of nonlinear terms. The presented technique gives solution in a series form which converges to the exact solution or approximate solution. The convergence analysis and the maximum estimated error of the approach are also given. Some illustrative examples are given, and comparison for the accuracy of the results obtained is made with the existing ones as well as the exact solutions. The results reveal the reliability and efficiency of the method in solving systems of NDDEs and can also be used in various types of linear and nonlinear problems. 展开更多

In this paper, a reliable algorithm based on mixture of new integral transform and homotopy perturbation method is proposed to solve a nonlinear differential-difference equation arising in nanotechnology. Continuum hypothesis on nanoscales is invalid, and a differential-difference model is considered as an alternative approach to describing discontinued problems. The technique finds the solution without any discretization or restrictive assumptions and avoids the round-off errors. Comparison of the approximate solution with the exact one reveals that the method is very effective. It provides more realistic series solutions that converge very rapidly for nonlinear real physical problems. 展开更多

The idea of the present article is to look into the nonlinear dynamics and vibration of a damping Duffing-jerk oscillator in fractal space exhibiting the non-perturbative approach.Using a new analytical technique,namely,the modification of a He’s fractal derivative that converts the fractal derivative to the traditional derivative in continuous space,this study provides an effective and easy-to-apply procedure that is dependent on the He’s fractal derivative approach.The analytic approximate solution has a significant match with the results of the numerical simulation as the fractal parameter is very closer to unity,which proves the reliability of the method.Stability behavior is discussed and illustrated graphically.These new powerful analytical tools are developed in an attempt to obtain effective analytical tools,valid for any fractal nonlinear problems. 展开更多

The(un)forced(un)damped parametric pendulum oscillator(PPO)is analyzed analytically and numerically using some simple,effective,and more accurate techniques.In the first technique,the ansatz method is employed for analyzing the unforced damped PPO and for deriving some optimal and accurate analytical approximations in the form of angular Mathieu functions.In the second approach,some approximations to(un)forced damped PPO are obtained in the form of trigonometric functions using the ansatz method.In the third approach,He’s frequency-amplitude principle is applied for deriving some approximations to the(un)damped PPO.In the forth approach,He’s homotopy technique is employed for analyzing the forced(un)damped PPO numerically.In the fifth approach,the p-solution Method,which is constructed based on Krylov–Bogoliúbov Mitropolsky method,is introduced for deriving an approximation to the forced damped PPO.In the final approach,the hybrid Padé-finite difference method is carried out for analyzing the damped PPO numerically.All proposed techniques are compared to the fourth-order Runge–Kutta(RK4)numerical solution.Moreover,the global maximum residual distance error is estimated for checking the accuracy of the obtained approximations.The proposed methodologies and approximations can help many researchers in studying and investigating several nonlinear phenomena related to the oscillations that can arise in various branches of science,e.g.waves and oscillations in plasma physics. 展开更多

This article is devoted to a newly introduced numerical method for time-fractional dispersive partial differential equation in a multidimensional space.The time-fractional dispersive partial differential equation plays a great role in solving the problems arising in ocean science and engineering.The numerical technique comprises of Sumudu transform,homotopy perturbation scheme and He’s polynomial,namely homotopy perturbation Sumudu transform method(HPSTM)is efficiently used to examine time-fractional dispersive partial differential equation of third order in multi-dimensional space.The approximate analytic solution of the time-fractional dispersive partial differential equation of third-order in multi-dimensional space obtained by HPSTM is compared with exact solution as well as the solution obtained by using Adomain decomposition method.The results derived with the aid of two techniques are in a good agreement and consequently these techniques may be considered as an alternative and efficient approach for solving fractional partial differential equations.Several test problems are experimented to confirm the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed methods. 展开更多
