Synthesis and correction of the modal parameters are obtained from both testing methods. The aim of this paper is to conduct experimental modal analysis and numerical simulation to verify the structural characteristics of a deployable-retractable wing for aircraft and spacecraft. A modal impact test was conducted in order to determine the free vibration characteristics. Natural frequencies and vibration mode shapes were obtained via measurement in LMS Test. Lab. The frequency response functions were identified and computed by force and acceleration signals, and then mode shapes of this morphing wing structure were subsequently identified by PolyMAX modal parameter estimation method. FEM modal analysis was also implemented and its numerical results convincingly presented the mode shape and natural frequency characteristics were in good agreement with those obtained from experimental modal analysis. Experimental study in this paper focuses on the transverse response of morphing wing as its moveable part is deploying or retreating. Vibration response to different rotation speeds have been collected, managed and analyzed through the use of comparison methodology with each other. Evident phenomena have been discovered including the resonance on which most analysis is focused because of its potential use to generate large amplitude vibration of specific frequency or to avoid such resonant frequencies from a wide spectrum of response. Manufactured deployable-retractable wings are studied in stage of experimental modal analysis, in which some nonlinear vibration resulted should be particularly noted because such wing structure displays a low resonant frequency which is always optimal to be avoided for structural safety and stability. 展开更多

Because of the limited space of the launch rockets, deployable mechanisms are always used to solve the phenomenon. One dimensional deployable mast can deploy and support antenna, solar sail and space optical camera. Tape-spring hyperelastic hinges can be folded and extended into a rod like configuration. It utilizes the strain energy to realize self-deploying and drive the other structures. One kind of triangular prism mast with tape-spring hyperelastic hinges is proposed and developed. Stretching and compression stiffness theoretical model are established with considering the tape-spring hyperelastic hinges based on static theory. The finite element model of ten-module triangular prism mast is set up by ABAQUS with the tape-spring hyperelastic hinge and parameter study is performed to investigate the influence of thickness, section angle and radius. Two-module TPM is processed and tested the compression stiffness by the laser displacement sensor, deploying repeat accuracy by the high speed camera, modal shape and fundamental frequency at cantilever position by LMS multi-channel vibration test and analysis system, which are used to verify precision of the theoretical and finite element models of ten-module triangular prism mast with the tape-spring hyperelastic hinges. This research proposes an innovative one dimensional triangular prism with tape-spring hyperelastic hinge which has great application value to the space deployable mechanisms. 展开更多

Homogenization method is adopted to predict the initial values of elastic parameters of the composite, and parameter identification is transformed to an optimization problem in which the objective function is the minimization of the discrepancies between the experimental and numerical modal data. Case study is conducted employing a woven fabric reinforced composite panel. Three parameters (Ell, E22, G12) with higher sensitivities are selected to be identified. The fluid-structure interaction under seismic excitation is very complicated, and thus the damage identification of the bridge in deep water is the key technique to ensure the safe service. Based on nonlinear Morison equation considering the added mass effect and the fluid-structure interaction effect, the effect of hydrodynamic pressure on the structure is analyzed. A series of underwater shaking table tests are conducted in the air and in water. The dynamic characteristics affected by hydrodynamic pressure are discussed and the distribution of hydrodynamic pressure is also analyzed. In addition, the damage of structure is distinguished through the natural frequency and the difference of modal curvature, and is then compared with the test results. The numerical simulation and test of this study indicate that the effect of hydrodynamic pressure on the structure should not be neglected. It is also found that the presence of the damage, the location of the damage and the degree of the severity can be judged through the variation of structure frequency and the difference of modal curvature. 展开更多

This paper investigates the possibility of utilizing response from natural ice loading for modal parameter identification of real offshore platforms.The test platform is the JZ20-2 MUQ jacket platform located in the Liaodong Bay,China.A field experiment is carried out in winter season,as the platform is excited by floating ices.The feasibility is demonstrated by the acceleration response of two different segments.By the SSI-data method,the modal frequencies and damping ratios of four structural modes can be successfully identified from both segments.The estimated information from both segments is almost identical,which demonstrates that the modal identification is trustworthy.Furthermore,by taking the Jacket platform as a benchmark,the numerical performance of five popular time-domain EMA methods is systematically compared from different viewpoints.The comparisons are categorized as:(1)stochastic methods versus deterministic methods;(2)high-order methods versus low-order methods;(3)data-driven versus covariance-driven stochastic subspace identification methods. 展开更多

Modeling of a virtual object was divided into two stages, modeling of the efficient pump and the simulated failure of one of the impeller's blades. Comparison of the results of the resonance frequency obtained from the model analysis, with those obtained from measurements on the actual object was shown. Measurements and simulations were conducted on the pump before and after the simulated damaged of the rotor. In order to verify the model the rotor of pump was weighted and compared with the masses of the respective components obtained from the virtual object. 研究内外流对大直径、内流流速高的深海悬垂取水管道动态响应的影响,对实际工程中的取水管道应用提供参考。基于小尺度模型试验,分析内外流作用下管道的动力响应特性,以及顶部连接方式和底部配重块对其响应的影响规律。结果表明:涡激振... 研究内外流对大直径、内流流速高的深海悬垂取水管道动态响应的影响,对实际工程中的取水管道应用提供参考。基于小尺度模型试验,分析内外流作用下管道的动力响应特性,以及顶部连接方式和底部配重块对其响应的影响规律。结果表明:涡激振动响应的主导模态和主导频率主要取决于外流流速,内流流速的变化对主振频率无明显影响,但会增加管道向高阶模态转换的趋势。外流增加会导致P1管道的振动响应从单一模态转向多模态参与,且涡流脱落与固有频率之间的“锁定”和模态转换现象更明显。当存在外流时,管道的位移振幅大小主要受到外流流速影响。外流参与会增加运动的周期性,但随着外部流速增加,取水管道因涡激运动从单一频率的振动转变为复杂的多频率振动,导致运动周期性逐渐减弱。顶部固定的管道底部位移振幅均方根值更大。低外流流速时,管道配重显著影响了管道的振幅,特别是当配重占据管道自重的50%及以上时,振幅的变化与无集中质量时存在明显差异。研究成果在优化内外流条件下悬垂式取水管道的理论模型方面具有显著意义,可为实际深海浮式取水管道的设计与工程实施提供一定参考。 展开更多

汽车运行过程中,排气系统的振动能量会经由吊挂传递到车体上,引起驾驶室的振动和噪声。根据多自由度系统的模态分析理论,通过合理设计悬挂点位置,可以有效控制排气系统对车体的振动能量传递。模态分析和有限元技术是结构动力学中的两大... 汽车运行过程中,排气系统的振动能量会经由吊挂传递到车体上,引起驾驶室的振动和噪声。根据多自由度系统的模态分析理论,通过合理设计悬挂点位置,可以有效控制排气系统对车体的振动能量传递。模态分析和有限元技术是结构动力学中的两大基石,结合这两大技术对排气系统的悬挂点位置进行设计。首先建立排气系统的有限元仿真模型,并进行模态实验,用LMS test.lab的PolyMax法识别相应的模态参数,通过计算自由模态和实验自由模态之间的MAC(模态判定准则)值来验证仿真模型的可行性;然后采用模态分析法对排气系统的悬挂点位置进行设计,并进行相应的模态、静力和动力仿真分析,验证悬挂点位置的合理性。采用排气系统的有限元仿真模型来设计其悬挂点的位置,大大减少了试验次数和研发成本,缩短了开发周期,提高了汽车的NVH性能。 展开更多
