This paper presents data from the students’ evaluations of t...Introduction: With the introduction of a new curriculum “Modellstudiengang Medizin” in Aachen, the education in medical psychology was also restructured. This paper presents data from the students’ evaluations of the Basic Course in Medical Psychology and the new teaching format “Systemblock Psyche” over a three-year time span. Method: All students were asked to evaluate the courses anonymously online. Effect sizes [1] were calculated to compare acceptance of the different course types and also changes across time. Results: Both the Basic Course in Medical Psychology and the Systemblock Psyche were rated as “good” to “satisfactory” and were in their overall acceptance comparable to other courses and system blocks. Continuous improvement in acceptance was found for the Basic Course (d = 0.30 - 0.57). The Systemblock Psyche received varying evaluations but achieved higher scores on comprehensibility (d = 0.20) and communication among teachers (d = 0.34) than other system blocks. On the other hand, students rated the education in medical psychology as less relevant than other courses (d = 0.28 and 0.77, respectively). Conclusion: Overall, the acceptance rating was satisfactory and comparable to other evaluation studies conducted in earlier curricula. However, ratings of the relevance of the courses in medical psychology were disappointing and indicate the difficulty of teaching a biopsychosocial model to medical students.展开更多

In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic marked by the cessation then the resumption of classes, physical distancing injunctions and the use of detergent products, masks, etc. it seems logical to question the positions of the actors, the feasibility of the Physical Education and Sports (P.E.S.) and the controversies generated by community particularly in the colleges of the Pikine-Guédiawaye Academy Inspectorate and apprehended thanks to mixed methods. In fact, we used participant observation, semi-structured interviews with administrative, pedagogical and community actors and the questionnaire survey addressed to a sample of 115 students drawn according to the quota technique. The objective was to understand the contradictions of the actors concerned. They were manifested by the practice of physical and sports activities at the beach instead of the forbidden Physical Education and Sports (P.E.S.) like all other school subjects, by the exclusion and then the reintegration of the subject with controversies relating to interests different from the administrative and PEPS, by the difficult acceptance of health measures and physical distancing variously manifested, by the question of the adaptation of P.E.S. to the realities of the numbers and spaces leading to lessons at several speeds, by the demotivation of middle school students who no longer experience hedonism in the field and finally by the diversity of the objectives of the authorities who want to save the year, teachers defending their discipline, students deprived of their agitation moments and parents skeptical and fearful of these moments who can expose their children to the disease.展开更多

This study explores for the first time the implementation of...Course based ideological and political education (CIPE) is an important way to improve the quality of ideological and political work and talent cultivation. This study explores for the first time the implementation of ideological and political education in the teaching of pathophysiology courses, and also analyzes the evaluation of student psychological status and the importance of mental health education in the implementation of IPE courses. A survey was conducted on 211 students at Yangtze University to understand their motivation and behavior towards learning ideological, political, and pathophysiological courses. In addition, a questionnaire survey was used to explore the relationship between pathophysiology and ideological and political courses, as well as the importance of their satisfaction with the implementation of ideological and political courses in pathophysiology and mental health education. The research results indicate that factors such as educational background and gender differences affect the learning of CIPE. Graduate students are more interested in ideological and political courses, while female students find it difficult to study pathophysiology;In addition, the results of one-way ANOVA indicate that the implementation effect of IPE in pathophysiology courses depends on the level of interest in IPE and pathophysiology courses, the level of consideration for the importance of professional courses, the professional gains after studying pathophysiology, and the level of understanding of the relationship between IPE and CIPE. 81.04% of students believe that in the CIPE process, telling stories by teachers themselves is the most popular way of communication and education. This reflects the importance of mental health education from the perspective of CIPE. In addition, this study also indicates that PBL and flipped classroom teaching models are popular teaching models in CIPE. This study is beneficial for promoting the improvement and implementation of CIPE and mental health education in higher education curricula, thus providing valuable insights for educational decision-makers.展开更多

Sports have existed with education since primitive times, when man developed skills like hunting, handling of weapons, tests of strength, endurance and courage. This paper examines the relevance of sporting activities to the development of education in Nigeria, since colonial era- 1904 till date. Sports like football, soccer, badminton, handball, volleyball, tennis, swimming and athletics have corroborated teaching and learning activities at all levels of education be it informal, formal and non formal education in Nigeria. Historical research methodology in education was used to carry out and analyze data for this paper using archival materials and oral interviews as primary sources while textbooks, journals and internet materials were used as secondary sources. The main focuses of the paper are" to examine the concepts of sports an6 education, the place of sports in the educational policy and curriculum in Nigeria, advantages of sports to education and nation building, challenges of sports in education and offer suggestions for the improvement of sports and education in Nigeria. The findings of the study revealed that; sports was formally introduced into educational curriculum in Nigeria as physical education in 1904 by the British administration, sports promotes physical health and fitness, recreational activities, relaxation prestige, economic status, identifies talents, abilities, impart skills, encourage socio-cultural relationship which enhances unity among the populace. The forum to benefit from sports usually come at grassroots, school inter-house sports, and inter-schools competitions and association forum. Challenges of sports include inadequate funding, mismanagement of funds, lack of integrity, inadequate personnel, dwindling infrastructural and sporting facilities, inadequate training and medical facilities. It is recommended that, if all the above challenges are properly addressed, sporting activities will project Nigerian education more for overall development both nationally and internationally.展开更多

文摘Adolescents’physical and mental development has obvious age-stage characteristics.Therefore,before the implementation of physical education teaching,it is necessary to fully analyze the laws of adolescents’psychological development and fully understand the laws of adolescents’physical development and exercise acquisition.The purpose of this study is to start from the actual needs of physical education teaching and to fully understand the laws of psychological development of adolescent groups.After the review and analysis,the law of adolescents’sports acquisition is summarized and summarized,so as to form the system of adolescents’psychological development and sports acquisition law in physical education teaching,lay a good foundation for physical education teachers to implement teaching on the teaching objects of adolescent students in a targeted and efficient manner,and ultimately promote the benign development of school sports.
文摘This study is to identify the relationship between young Islamic women involvement in physical education,physical activities,and sports.Today,limited attention has been paid to the relationship of young female Muslims and sports.This relationship can be noted as a social problem,and therefore need a specific attention to this problem.This study examines how Muslim female students display their participation in physical education and sporting activities and how their Islamic background influences of the way of the precise their engagement with the field of sport.Being a Muslim young woman and participating in sport is getting as a challenge of their ethnic identities.So that the young Muslim women clearly positioning within the framework of their ethnic identities are not interested in sports because they not seen it as a respectable femininity.According to the previously reported guidelines and results,the methodology was constructing for this systematic review.All the original data in this article were collected from published articles in research gate and Google scholar.The articles were searched under the topics of“religious involvement in Muslim female’s physical education,sports and physical activities”and“Muslim Female Participation in Olympics”.Results show that the religious involvement has positive attitudes toward female participation but extensive parental influence important to the young Muslim women involvement in the sports field.This paper also expresses that Muslim girl’s participation in physical education,physical activity,and sports is less because they are in struggle between their identity as Muslims and dress codes as well as the sporting requirements and in the other hand mixing or interaction with the opposite gender and doing exercises on Ramadan.
文摘Sporting activities have been part of the culture, customs and natural living of man; they have direct relationship with plans, purposes and goals of human beings. Sports have existed with education since primitive times, when man developed skills like hunting, handling of weapons, tests of strength, endurance and courage. This paper examines the relevance of sporting activities to the development of education in Nigeria, since colonial era- 1904 till date. Sports like football, soccer, badminton, handball, volleyball, tennis, swimming and athletics have corroborated teaching and learning activities at all levels of education be it informal, formal and non formal education in Nigeria. Historical research methodology in education was used to carry out and analyze data for this paper using archival materials and oral interviews as primary sources while textbooks, journals and internet materials were used as secondary sources. The main focuses of the paper are" to examine the concepts of sports an6 education, the place of sports in the educational policy and curriculum in Nigeria, advantages of sports to education and nation building, challenges of sports in education and offer suggestions for the improvement of sports and education in Nigeria. The findings of the study revealed that; sports was formally introduced into educational curriculum in Nigeria as physical education in 1904 by the British administration, sports promotes physical health and fitness, recreational activities, relaxation prestige, economic status, identifies talents, abilities, impart skills, encourage socio-cultural relationship which enhances unity among the populace. The forum to benefit from sports usually come at grassroots, school inter-house sports, and inter-schools competitions and association forum. Challenges of sports include inadequate funding, mismanagement of funds, lack of integrity, inadequate personnel, dwindling infrastructural and sporting facilities, inadequate training and medical facilities. It is recommended that, if all the above challenges are properly addressed, sporting activities will project Nigerian education more for overall development both nationally and internationally.
