Hubble Scale Dark Energy Meets Nano Scale Casimir Energy and the Rational of Their T-Duality and Mirror Symmetry Equivalence

We establish that ordinary energy, Casimir energy and dark energy are not only interlinked but are basically the same thing separated merely by scale and topology. Casimir energy is essentially a nano scale spacetime phenomenon produced by the boundary condition of the two Casimir plates constituting the Casimir experimental set up for measuring the Casimir force. By contrast dark energy is the result of the cosmic boundary condition, i.e. the boundary of the universe. This one sided M?bius-like boundary located at vast cosmic distance and was comparable only to the Hubble radius scales of the universe. All the Casimir energy spreads out until the majority of it reaches the vicinity of the edge of the cosmos. According to a famous theorem due to the Ukrainian-Israeli scientist I. Dvoretzky, almost 96% of the total energy will be concentrated at the boundary of the universe, too far away to be measured directly. The rest of the accumulated Casimir energy density is consequently the nearly 4% to 4.5%, the existence of which is confirmed by various sophisticated cosmic measurements and observations. When all is said and done, the work is essentially yet another confirmation of Witten’s T-duality and mirror symmetry bringing nano scale and Hubble scale together in an unexpected magical yet mathematically rigorous way. 展开更多

Reconsideration of the T-duality of the open string allows us to introduce some geometric features in non-geometric theories.First,we have found what symmetry is T-dual to the local gauge transformations.It includes transformations of background fields but does not include transformations of the coordinates.According to this we have introduced a new,up to now missing term,with additional gauge field Ai^D(D denotes components with Dirichlet boundary conditions).It compensates non-fulfilment of the invariance under such transformations on the end-points of an open string,and the standard gauge field AaN(N denotes components with Neumann boundary conditions)compensates non-fulfilment of the gauge invariance.Using a generalized procedure we will perform T-duality of vector fields linear in coordinates.We show that gauge fields AaNand AiDare T-dual to ADaand AN^irespectively.We introduce the field strength of T-dual non-geometric theories as derivatives of T-dual gauge fields along both T-dual variable yμand its double?yμ.This definition allows us to obtain gauge transformation of non-geometric theories which leaves the T-dual field strength invariant.Therefore,we introduce some new features of non-geometric theories where field strength has both antisymmetric and symmetric parts.This allows us to define new kinds of truly non-geometric theories. 展开更多

Using a modified expression for the electric potential in the context of T-duality [Gaete and Nicolini, Phys. Lett. B, 2022], we obtained an exact charged solution within the 4D Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet (4D EGB) theory of gravity in the presence of a cosmological constant. We show that the solution also exists in the regularized 4D EGB theory. Moreover, we point out a correspondence between the black hole solution in the 4D EGB theory and the solution in the non-relativistic Horava–Lifshitz theory. The black hole solution is regular and free from singularity. As a special case, we derive a class of well known solutions in the literature. 展开更多

We describe the analytic torsion of the de Rham complex twisted by a flux form introduced by the current authors and recall its properties. We define a new twisted analytic torsion for the complex of invariant differential forms on the total space of a principal circle bundle twisted by an invariant flux form. We show that when the dimension is even, such a torsion is invariant under certain deformation of the metric and the flux form. Under T-duality which exchanges the topology of the bundle and the flux form and the radius of the circular fiber with its inverse, the twisted torsion of invariant forms are inverse to each other for any dimension. 展开更多
