However, most previously reported metamaterials are unable to actively cont...Metamaterials have attracted increasing attention in recent years due to their powerful abilities in manipulating electromagnetic (EM) waves. However, most previously reported metamaterials are unable to actively control full-band EM waves. In this paper, we propose a thermo-tunable broadband metamaterial (T-TBM) using paraffin-based composites (PD-Cs) with different phase transition temperatures. Active control of the T-TBM reflection loss peaks from low to high frequency is realized by manipulating the solid–liquid state of the PD-Cs at different phase transition temperatures. The absorption peak bandwidth (where the reflection loss value is less than −30 dB) can be changed, while the broad bandwidth absorption (where the reflection loss value is less than −10 dB) is satisfied by adjusting the temperature of the T-TBM. It is shown that the stagnation of the phase transition temperature of the PD-Cs in the T-TBM provides a time window for actively controlling the EM wave absorption response under different thermal conditions. The device has a broad application prospect in the fields of EM absorption, intelligent metamaterials, multifunctional structural devices, and more.展开更多

A maximum cw output power of 1.9W at 1650.3nm is obtained at a pump power of 25.5 W, corresponding to a slope efficiency of 43.3 %. In the Q-switched regime, the maximum pulse energy of 3.51 mJ is reached at a pulse repetition rate of 100 Hz, a pulse duration of 90.5ns and a pump power of 25.5 W. At the repetition rate of 400 Hz, the output energy is 2.12m J, corresponding to a pulse duration of 125.4 ns.展开更多

The beam quality factor M2 is 1.16, and the output beam is close to fundamental TEMoo. In the case of the CWML operation, a stable pulse train is generated with an average output power up to 3.41 W with a slope efficiency of 34.3% at the incident pump power of 11.4 W and a pulse duration of 294ps at a repetition rate of 81.92MHz. This portion of BV is named the actively circulating volume (ACV) and is evaluated from a monotone decrease of dilution curve produced by an intravascular tracer. In given paper is presented Markov chain as a math model of the flow of a tracer throughout CVS. The consideration of CVS as a set of segments with respect to an anatomical structure and assuming the existence for CVS steady-state condition;leads to the Markov chain of the finite order with constant coefficients. The conclusions of the article are 1) there are open and closed microvessels, such that the switching from open to closed and back is a stochastic process, 2) if the switching is slow then the ACV, as the volume of heart chambers and only open for circulation vessels, can be detected.展开更多

AIM:To report a simple approach to actively remove high viscosity silicone oil through a 23-gauge cannula via pars plana.METHODS:Forty-eight eyes of 48 patients underwent silicone oil(5700 centistokes) removal(SO...AIM:To report a simple approach to actively remove high viscosity silicone oil through a 23-gauge cannula via pars plana.METHODS:Forty-eight eyes of 48 patients underwent silicone oil(5700 centistokes) removal(SOR) were enrolled.A section of blood transfusion set was prepared to connect a standard 23-gauge cannula and vitrectomy machine.Silicone oil was removed with suction of500-mm Hg vacuum through the cannula.Main outcome measures were SOR duration,number of sutured sites,intraocular pressure(IOP),best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA),and complications.RESULTS:Silicone oil was successfully removed in all cases.The mean SOR time was 5.70±0.85 min.Nine eyes(18.75%) needed suture partial sclerotomies.No intraoperative complications were noted.Transient hypotony(≤8 mm Hg) was seen in 3 eyes(6.25%) on postoperative day 1,but all resolved within 1wk.Retinal reattachment was achieved in all cases and no other postoperative complications were noted during 3-month following-up.BCVA at the final visit improved or stabilized in all patients comparing to the preoperative level.CONCLUSION:Active removal of high viscosity silicone oil through a 23-gauge instrument cannula jointed with blood transfusion set is a practical and reliable technique when considering two sides of efficacy and safety.展开更多

While probability density distributions of rotor angular velocity are strongly non-Gaussian, relative probabilities of observing rotation in opposite directions are shown to be linearly related to the angular velocity magnitude. We construct a stochastic model to describe transitions between different states from rotor angular velocity data and use the stochastic model to show that symmetry properties in probability density distributions are related to the detailed fluctuation relation(FR) of entropy productions.展开更多

文摘AIM:To report a simple approach to actively remove high viscosity silicone oil through a 23-gauge cannula via pars plana.METHODS:Forty-eight eyes of 48 patients underwent silicone oil(5700 centistokes) removal(SOR) were enrolled.A section of blood transfusion set was prepared to connect a standard 23-gauge cannula and vitrectomy machine.Silicone oil was removed with suction of500-mm Hg vacuum through the cannula.Main outcome measures were SOR duration,number of sutured sites,intraocular pressure(IOP),best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA),and complications.RESULTS:Silicone oil was successfully removed in all cases.The mean SOR time was 5.70±0.85 min.Nine eyes(18.75%) needed suture partial sclerotomies.No intraoperative complications were noted.Transient hypotony(≤8 mm Hg) was seen in 3 eyes(6.25%) on postoperative day 1,but all resolved within 1wk.Retinal reattachment was achieved in all cases and no other postoperative complications were noted during 3-month following-up.BCVA at the final visit improved or stabilized in all patients comparing to the preoperative level.CONCLUSION:Active removal of high viscosity silicone oil through a 23-gauge instrument cannula jointed with blood transfusion set is a practical and reliable technique when considering two sides of efficacy and safety.

文摘We investigate rotational dynamics of an actively driven rotor through experiments and numerical simulations. While probability density distributions of rotor angular velocity are strongly non-Gaussian, relative probabilities of observing rotation in opposite directions are shown to be linearly related to the angular velocity magnitude. We construct a stochastic model to describe transitions between different states from rotor angular velocity data and use the stochastic model to show that symmetry properties in probability density distributions are related to the detailed fluctuation relation(FR) of entropy productions.
