This paper presented an entropy evaluation method for the influences of condense heat recovery system on the environment.Aiming at the damage of the condense heat to the environment,an entropy of resource loss and an emission entropy from the condense heat recovery system in the air conditioning refrigerating machine were introduced.For the evaluation of the entropies,we developed a new algorithm for the parameter identification,called the composite influence coefficient,based on the Least Squares Support Vector Machine method.By simulation,the numerical experiments shows that the Least Squares Support Vector Machine method is one of the powerful methods for the parameter identification to compute the damage entropy of the condense heat,with the largest training error being-0.025(the relative error being-3.56%),and the biggest test error being 0.015(the relative error being 2.5%). 展开更多

These characteristics were calculated for eight refrigerants at temperature of their condensation 30 ℃ and temperatures of boiling -15℃ and -30 ℃. The calculations show that the use of isothermal compression of refrigerant vapor ensures economy of energy during refrigerating machine operation. 展开更多

A water loop variable refrigerant flow(WLVRF)air-conditioning system is designed to be applied in large-scale buildings in northern China.The system is energy saving and it is an integrated system consisting of a variable refrigerant flow(VRF)air-conditioning unit,a water loop and an air source heat pump.The water loop transports energy among different regions in the buildings instead of refrigerant pipes,decreasing the scale of the VRF air-conditioning unit and improving the performance.Previous models for refrigerants and building loads are cited in this investigation.Mathematical models of major equipment and other elements of the system are established using the lumped parameter method based on the DATAFIT software and the MATLAB software.The performance of the WLVRF system is simulated.The initial investments and the running costs are calculated based on the results of market research.Finally,a contrast is carried out between the WLVRF system and the traditional VRF system.The results show that the WLVRF system has a better working condition and lower running costs than the traditional VRF system. 展开更多

The machine tool coolers are the best managers of coolant temperature in avoiding the deviation of spindle centerline for machine tools. However, the machine coolers are facing the compressed schedule to phase out the HCFC (hydro-chloro-floro-carbon) refrigerant and little attention has been paid to comparative study on sizing capillary tube for retrofitted HFC (hydro-floro-carbon) refrigerant. In this paper, the adiabatic flow in capillary tube is analyzed and modeled for retrofitting of HFC-407C refrigerant in a machine tool cooler system. A computer code including determining the length of sub-cooled flow region and the two phase region of capillary tube is developed. Comparative study of HCFC-22 and HFC-407C in a capillary tube is derived and conducted to simplify the traditional trial-and-error method of predicting the length of capillary tubes. Besides, experimental investigation is carried out by field tests to verify the simulation model and cooling performance of the machine tool cooler system. The results from the experiments reveal that the numerical model provides an effective approach to determine the performance data of capillary tube specific for retrofitting a HFC-407C machine tool cooler. The developed machine tool cooler system is not only directly compatible with new HFC-407C refrigerant, but can also perform a cost-effective temperature control specific for industrial machines. 展开更多

Data-mining techniques using machine learning are powerful and efficient for materials design, possessing great potential for discovering new materials with good characteristics. Here, this technique has been used on composition design for La(Fe,Si/Al)(13)-based materials, which are regarded as one of the most promising magnetic refrigerants in practice. Three prediction models are built by using a machine learning algorithm called gradient boosting regression tree(GBRT) to essentially find the correlation between the Curie temperature(TC), maximum value of magnetic entropy change((?SM)(max)),and chemical composition, all of which yield high accuracy in the prediction of TC and(?SM)(max). The performance metric coefficient scores of determination(R^2) for the three models are 0.96, 0.87, and 0.91. These results suggest that all of the models are well-developed predictive models on the challenging issue of generalization ability for untrained data, which can not only provide us with suggestions for real experiments but also help us gain physical insights to find proper composition for further magnetic refrigeration applications. 展开更多

The evaporative cooling,which assists the refrigeration machinery air-conditioning systems test-rig,has been designed.Its structure and working principle were described,and the performance test was conducted and analyzed.The test shows that making full use of the evaporative cooling "free cooling" in Spring and Autumn seasons can fully meet the requirements of air-conditioned comfort through the switch of the function in different seasons.Taking into account the evaporative cooling fan and pump energy consumption,compared with the traditional mechanical refrigeration system,more than 80 percent of energy can be saved,and the energy efficiency ratio of the Unit(EER)is as high as 7.63.Using the two stages of indirect evaporative cooling to pre-cool the new wind in summer,under the conditions of the same air supply temperature requirements,0.83 kg/s chilled water saved can be equivalent to the traditional mechanical refrigeration system,and when the new wind ratio up to 50 percent,more than 10 percent load was reduced in mechanical refrigeration system.The overall EER increased about 35 percent. 展开更多

针对传统基于图像处理技术的结霜检测方法难以对处于复杂生产环境的冷链制冷机组进行灵活且准确的检测,还易受光照、起雾等环境因素的影响而误判的问题,设计了一种基于脉冲神经网络的冷链制冷机结霜检测方法。该方法以制冷机图像为输入... 针对传统基于图像处理技术的结霜检测方法难以对处于复杂生产环境的冷链制冷机组进行灵活且准确的检测,还易受光照、起雾等环境因素的影响而误判的问题,设计了一种基于脉冲神经网络的冷链制冷机结霜检测方法。该方法以制冷机图像为输入,自动检测制冷机蒸发器结霜区域的动态变化情况,修正因光照、起雾等干扰因素引起的异常,并以脉冲发放率累积值划分双阈值作为结霜程度的判断依据。在多个投入至生产环境的冷链制冷机上进行实验,结果表明所设计的脉冲神经网络能够在实际生产环境下自适应地对制冷机蒸发器的结霜区进行动态区域检测、划分的双阈值可准确判断蒸发器的结霜程度,检测效果良好,稳定性强,可为制定冷链制冷机组除霜策略提供可靠的除霜时刻依据。 展开更多

Most heating,ventilation,and air-conditioning(HVAC)systems operate with one or more faults that result in increased energy consumption and that could lead to system failure over time.Today,most building owners are performing reactive maintenance only and may be less concerned or less able to assess the health of the system until catastrophic failure occurs.This is mainly because the building owners do not previously have good tools to detect and diagnose these faults,determine their impact,and act on findings.Commercially available fault detection and diagnostics(FDD)tools have been developed to address this issue and have the potential to reduce equipment downtime,energy costs,maintenance costs,and improve occupant comfort and system reliability.However,many of these tools require an in-depth knowledge of system behavior and thermodynamic principles to interpret the results.In this paper,supervised and semi-supervised machine learning(ML)approaches are applied to datasets collected from an operating system in the field to develop new FDD methods and to help building owners see the value proposition of performing proactive maintenance.The study data was collected from one packaged rooftop unit(RTU)HVAC system running under normal operating conditions at an industrial facility in Connecticut.This paper compares three different approaches for fault classification for a real-time operating RTU using semi-supervised learning,achieving accuracies as high as 95.7%using few-shot learning. 展开更多

-80℃低温冷库在血站、医院以及医疗研究机构的应用越来越多,目前该温区低温冷库多为传统的复叠式制冷方式,本文设计了一座采用斯特林制冷方式的小型-80℃超低温冷库。基于斯特林制冷机低温效率高的优点,结合低温冷库和斯特林制冷机的特... -80℃低温冷库在血站、医院以及医疗研究机构的应用越来越多,目前该温区低温冷库多为传统的复叠式制冷方式,本文设计了一座采用斯特林制冷方式的小型-80℃超低温冷库。基于斯特林制冷机低温效率高的优点,结合低温冷库和斯特林制冷机的特点,设计了一座容积为8 m^(3)的-80℃低温冷库,分析了低温冷库的结构特点,研究了真空绝热板和聚氨酯发泡层组成的复合绝热层结构,给出低温冷库漏热损失计算方法。基于冷库热负荷选配课题组研制的斯特林制冷机,开展实验研究并验证了设计方案的可行性,单台斯特林制冷机在200 W输入功空载条件下10 min以内制冷温度可达-80℃,50 min后最低制冷温度稳定在约-160℃,在500 W输入功下制冷量为180 W,对应COP为0.36。 展开更多
