Causes and Countermeasures Against the Silence Phenomenon in English Classrooms at Applied Undergraduate Colleges and Universities

In applied undergraduate collegesand universities,the silence phenomenon in English classrooms is common.However,many English teachersare troubled by this phenomenon.The teaching focus of English,as alanguage subject,is on basic skills such as listening and speaking.Therefore,the silence phenomenon will not only affect students’communication skills,but also bring various negative implications.By analyzing the causes of this phenomenon in Englishclassrooms at applied undergraduate collegesand universities,this paper proposes three solutions to solve this issue and enhance the pertinence and effectiveness of English teachingin applied colleges and universities:attaching importance to thinking,adhering to correct teaching concepts,and teaching students in accordance with their aptitude and to apply what they have learned.

Research on the Path and Guarantee Mechanism of the Integration of Industry and Educationfor Applied Undergraduates--A Case Study of Human Resource Management Major

Research on the Fusion Course System Based on Improving Employability Under the Background of Application-Orientated Undergraduate

Facing the development of"Internet+"and the demand of diversified talents in the market,excellent talents with computer operation ability are increasingly needed by all trades and professions.This"ability"added to professional skills will enhance the employment competitiveness to a great extent.Therefore,the traditional employment mode and talent training mode need to be transformed by various integrated means to adapt to the change in employment status.By analyzing the current situation and employment of agricultural application-oriented universities,the fusion course is put forward in this paper,taking the construction of the Office Automation course,a platform course of Heilongjiang Bayi Agricultural University,as an example.
