Applying Analytical Hierarchy Process to a WiMAX Performance Evaluation Model

Evaluating performance of individual features of WiMAX technology is a topic of widespread discussion. Currently, there is no quantitative way of measuring WiMAX technology so that wireless operators can meet their design objectives. This paper outlines a set of design criteria for WiMAX and provides a decision-making aid that ranks the importance of criteria using Analytic Hierarchy Process （AHP）. This ranking should sufficiently reflect market expectations of the relative importance of various design criteria. A model integrating AHP priorities with enhanced Data Envelopment Analysis （DEA） is the basis for formulating a technological value in simple, comparable format. A case study is provided to show how this technological value is used to evaluate a three year network deployment plan. In the future, this model could be extended to WiMAX equipment suppliers for the purpose of validating performance targets of individual criteria, and enhancing supplier roadmaps for future network development.

The practical effect of applying decosept to surgical hand disinfection: An observation

Objective To test the practical effect of Decosept on surgical hand disinfection. Methods The operators were divided into two groups, 30 persons at random in each group. One group applied Decosept and the other one applied iodine to surgical hand disinfection according to Disinfection Technology Criteria. Neutralizer was affirmed by the test of neutralizer. Results The killing rate was 99.43% in Decosept group,and 99.26% in iodine group. There was no obvious difference between the two groups. One of the primary goals of the space exploration community is to unambiguously detect past or present life outside of Earth.As such,a number of so-called life detection technologies,instruments,and approaches have been applied as part of past,current,and future space missions.As astrobiology is a truly interdisciplinary field within the realm of space exploration with major contributions from physical and biological sciences(among others),recently there has been development of a number of relevant techniques from scientific fields that have yet to be fully applied to extraterrestrial life detection.As a culmination of the 2021 Blue Marble Space Institute of Science(BMSIS)Young Scientist Program(YSP),we present a number of techniques drawn from various fields(including,but not limited to,chemistry,materials science,biology,nanotechnology,medical science,astrophysics,and more)that either have been or have the potential to be applied to life detection research.These techniques broadly fall under three categories:instrumentation for in situ measurements of biosignatures within the solar system,calculations or observational techniques for remote measurements of exoplanet biosignatures,and technosignatures.We hope that this primer serves to inspire the field to consider applying more potential technologies from adjacent fields into any of these three categories of life detection.

AIRWAY SMOOTH MUSCLE CELLS CULTURE AND APPLYING PERSPECTIVES

In order to study the physiological or pathophysiological responsiveness, airway smooth muscle cells were isolated from the rat trachea and cultured. The tracheas of adult rats were obtained by autopsy within 30 minutes after death and placed into a modified Hank’s solution. The experiments were performed on the large branches of the rat bronchi following entry into the lung. At the terminal level of the airway, no cartilage segments were seen. The muscle layer was prepared by careful removal of the connective tissue, cut into small pieces (1 mm3), and dispersed enzymatically (collagenase, elastase) into single cells. Freshly isolated cells could be used the same day. The small muscle pieces and isolated cells were cultured in the modified Hank’s or modified Eagle’s medium with 5% CO2 at 37℃ .

Nonlinear filtering of impulse response obtained by M-sequence correlation method under strong background noise is presented. The research shows that the new method works very efficiently without the need to cut off impulse response data.
