Hanping tunnel is a control project of national highway 310 Dahejia to Qingshui highway project.It needs to cross a 330kV high-voltage transmission line under the condition of small clear distance,which requires high construction requirements.In view of the difficulties such as shallow buried depth of tunnel and small clear distance between tunnel and tower of high-voltage line,multiple excavation blasting method is adopted,and smooth blasting,charge quantity control and damping hole setting are comprehensively used to reduce the impact on the tower and structure of high-voltage line.In order to ensure the smooth progress of the project,the large-scale finite element analysis software is used to simulate the whole excavation project.The influence of the full-section method and the middle partition wall method(CD method)on the surrounding rock and the high-voltage electric tower is compared.It is found that the CD method can effectively control the displacement of the surrounding rock and the tower on it and the uneven settlement. 展开更多

This paper aims to address the problem of geometric state control of large-segment steel box girders in offshore hoisting during the construction of large-span bridges. First, the geometric state control indexes of a large-segment steel box girder are determined, such as the manufacturing parameters of the top and bottom slabs, the width of the annular joint, and the support position. Second, the geometric state equations and state transfer matrixes of large-segment steel box girders under different conditions are deduced by taking the mileage and elevation of control points as basic state variables. In application of the geometric state transfer method in the construction control of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the width of the annular joint and the position parameters for the support of the large-segment steel box girder are predicted precisely. Moreover, the manufacturing parameters of the top and bottom slabs of the steel box girders are calculated reliably. The measured values show that the width of the annular joint is basically the same with the difference of less than 2 mm, the eccentricity of bridge support is less than 20 mm, and the elevation error of the bridge deck is within-10 mm to +15 mm, which meets the construction accuracy. Using the geometric state transfer method, the rapid and accurate installation of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge has been realized, demonstrating that the precise control of the geometric state of a steel box girder with ectopic installation and multi-state transition can be realized by using the geometric state transfer method. 展开更多

The Sutong Yangtze River Bridge(short as Sutong Bridge)is now the largest span cable-stayed bridge in the world.The construction of the superstructure of the middle bridge covered several stages including erection of the big block girders for the side span,assistant span and tower area,erection of standard girders and closure of the middle span.The big block girders were hoisted by a floating crane,and the standard girders were hoisted by a double crane system on the deck.The pushing assistant method was adopted for the middle span closure construction.Furthermore,key technologies and innovative methods used in the processes of girder erection and cable assemblage in all stages were expatiated systematically.An all-stage self-adaptive geometry control method was used in the construction process.By accurately controlling the unstressed dimensions and shape of all structural components in each step,and realization that the control system and the controlled system adapt to each other,the goal was to make control of the final line shape and inner force of the bridge structure achievable.Two solutions,including GPS based and total station based dynamic geometry monitoring systems,were used to resolve the measure problem under the wide-range of wind-induced vibrations in the long cantilever state.Finally,research on the wind-induced vibration of the superstructure during the construction period was executed.Buffeting response analysis to the longest single and double cantilever states were carried out.The analysis and evaluation of wind resistance safety of the main girders under the longest single cantilever state was made,and corresponding wind resistance measures were suggested.The as-built geometric error and cable force error were controlled in a required design range,and this whole technological achievement can be a benchmark for construction of other large span cable-stayed bridges in the future. 展开更多

To improve the quality of the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge paving project,a new paving layer material,Guss-mastic asphalt(GMA),was proposed in this paper by combining the advantages of two types of cast asphalt mixtures:mastic asphalt(MA)and Guss asphalt(GA).Based on the characteristics of GMA,to simulate its actual production process,this study developed a small-simulated cooker mixing equipment.Moreover,the flow degree,60C dynamic stability,and impact toughness were proposed to be used to evaluate the construction and ease,high temperature stability,and fatigue resistance of GMA cast asphalt mixtures,respectively.Moreover,the quality control standards for GMA paving materials by indoor tests,field trial mix GMA material performance tests,and accelerated loading tests were finalized.The study showed that the developed simulated cooker yielded consistent mixing results in the same working environment as the engineering cooker device.Increasing the coarse aggregate incorporation rate,coarsening the mastic epure(ME)gradation composition,and using a smaller oil to stone ratio can reduce the flowability of the GMA materials to varying degrees.The four-point bending fatigue life and impact toughness of the different GMA materials are correlated well.A mobility of<20 s,60C dynamic stability of 400–800 times/mm,15C impact toughness of400 N⋅mm,and cooker car mixing temperature control standard of 210C–230C form an appropriate control index system for the design and production of GMA cast asphalt mixtures.Simultaneously,accelerated loading tests verified the accuracy and reliability of the quality control index system that has been used in the GMA paving project of the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge deck and has achieved good application results. 展开更多

The Fenghua River Bridge is a major structure on the highway between Hengzhang and Guojiachi, which is to be built with a four-span prestress concrete (PC) box girder and symmetrical cantilever castings. In this paper, a finite element method (FEM) model is set up to study the effects of concrete differential aging time on the construction phases of the Fenghua River Bridge by calculating the vertical displacement of the folding segment of the middle span and the longitudinal bending moment of Pier 12#. In the model, the girders are classified into 150 changing sections based on the desgn scheme, and their construction is to be carried in 16 phases respectively to build 12 blocks connected by a side folding segment and a middle folding segment, covered with a second dead load and in completion for 20 years. It is found that the internal forces and deformations of the concrete structures at the aging time of 60 d are quite different from those of 0 d aging time while the behaviors of the structures of 120 d aging time is nearly the same as those of 60 d aging time― the differences are so small that can be neglected, suggesting that the creep develops obviously about one month after the cement is hardened and the development fades later on. 展开更多

According to the results in the reference (Xie, L. L., Zhou, Y., and Zhao, Y. Criterion of chaos for switched linear systems with antrollers. International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 20(12), 4105-4109 (2010)), a nonlinear feedback gain is needed to generate chaotic dy- namics. A linear feedback control is usually used to approximate the nonlinear one for simulation. In order to obtain the exact control, as a main result of this paper, the con- troller is constructed by Russell's result, and a block diagram is included to interpret the realization of the controller. Numerical simulations are given to illustrate the generated chaotic dynamical behavior of the switched linear systems with some parameters and show the effects of the constructed controller. 展开更多

Modern suspension bridges exhibit a trend of lighter structures,more diversified structural forms,and longer spans,the latter already exceeding two kilometers.Bridge performance under dead and live loads depends on their structural and main cable systems,while cablesupported bridges especially rely on the design analysis and construction control of the main cable.This literary survey systematically analyzes the research progress and state-ofthe-art status quo in the structural systems and design theories of suspension bridges,focusing on the structural systems,main cable shape analyses,live load effect analyses,and emerging lucrative research directions.More than 100 reliable references have been surveyed.(1)Multi-span or multi-main cable schemes appeal to increasing attention,which may become a better choice in terms of structural systems in scenarios with extremely long spans and heavy loads.The cable layouts,such as spatial main cables and hybrid cable-stayed suspension systems have also become feasible approaches for enhancing structural stiffness.(2)The shape-finding analysis during the construction phase is more complex and has more essential factors than that of the completed bridge state.Refined theories combining analytical methods and finite element methods are more suitable for the shape-finding analysis of complex cable systems than any single theory of the two,especially for novel cable systems.(3)The live load effect analysis methods based on traditional deflection theory or modified/improved deflection theories still have wide applications,but the refined theory of treating hangers as discrete members is also constantly developing,which is expected to provide new ideas for more complex structural analysis under the different types of live loads and their distribution forms. 展开更多

To accurately control the full-span erection of continuous steel box girder bridges with complex cross-sections and long cantilevers, both the augmented finite element method(A-FEM) and the degenerated plate elements ... To accurately control the full-span erection of continuous steel box girder bridges with complex cross-sections and long cantilevers, both the augmented finite element method(A-FEM) and the degenerated plate elements are adopted in this paper. The entire construction process is simulated by the A-FEM with the mesh-separation-based approximation technique, while the degenerated plate elements are constructed based on 3D isoparametric elements, making it suitable for analysis of a thin-walled structure. This method significantly improves computational efficiency by avoiding numerous degrees of freedom(DoFs) when analyzing complex structures. With characteristics of the full-span erection technology, the end-face angle of adjacent girder segments, the preset distance of girder segments from the design position, and the temperature difference are selected as control parameters, and they are calculated through the structural response of each construction stage. Engineering practice shows that the calculation accuracy of A-FEM is verified by field-measured results. It can be applied rapidly and effectively to evaluate the matching state of girder segments and the stress state of bearings as well as the thermal effect during full-span erection. 展开更多

A cable dome has no stiffness or load carrying capacity unless it has been prestressed.Analyses of cable domes are based on successful prestressing designs,making force finding analysis very important.A new force finding method named the imbal-ance force iterative method is proposed,which can overcome some limitations of the integrity feasible prestressing method.For instance,even if groups are assigned by mistake,the pretension distribution that satisfies the known geometry form can also be found.This method possess good stability and calculation efficiency,and a case study indicates that it is applicable to the force finding of large and complicated cable domes.On the other hand,form finding analysis of cable domes is also a key engineering problem.However,rigid displacement occurs in this process,which makes the analysis more complex.In this pa-per,the dynamic relaxation method was selected,and the problem of rigid displacement was therefore effectively solved.The method includes two steps:first,the stretching cables are released,and secondly,an axial force is imposed on the two ends of each released cable.This method is convenient in its calculation and clear in its conception.A case study indicates that the method is suitable for the simulation of the construction process of various cable domes and cable-strut tension structures.Moreover,a form finding experiment was conducted on a model of a cable dome with a diameter of 4.8 m by tensing diagonal cables.The behavior of the model in the form finding process was investigated.The experimental results indicate that the ini-tial lengths of members and prestress loss are key issues in cable domes design.The results also prove that the methods of form finding and force finding proposed in this paper are reliable and effective. 展开更多
