On June 27,the 31st China International Exhibition on Music was held at the China International Exhibition Center(Chaoyang Hall).The exhibition area reached 35,000 square meters and attracted more than 40,000 visitors from both home and abroad during the four-day exhibition.As a mega musical exhibition in China,the 31st China International Exhibition on Music integrates musical instrument exhibitions and displays,forums and lectures,instrumental music performances,competitions,communications,music education and so on.

Spatial Agglomeration of Exhibition Enterprises on a Regional Scale in China

During the past two decades, the exhibition industry in China has been developing rapidly and has become an important part of the modern service industry, particularly the agglomeration characteristics of exhibition enterprises highlighted on the regional scale. Although the development of theoretical research on the western exhibition industry has taken place over time, the spatial perspective has not been at the centre of attention so far. This paper aims to fill this gap and report on the agglomeration characteristics of exhibition enterprises and their influential factors. Based on data about exhibition enterprises in the Pearl River Delta(PRD) during 1991–2013, using the Ripley K function analysis and kernel density estimation, this research identifies that: 1) the exhibition enterprise on the regional scale is significantly characterized by spatial agglomeration, and the agglomeration density and scale are continuously increasing; 2) the spatial pattern of agglomeration has developed from a single-center to multi-center form. Meanwhile, this paper profiles the factors influencing the spatial agglomeration of exhibition enterprises by selecting the panel data of nine cities in the PRD in 1999, 2002, 2006 and 2013. The results show that market capacity, urban informatization level and exhibition venues significantly influence the location choice of exhibition enterprises. Among them, the market capacity is a variable that exerts a far greater impact than other factors do.

Excellent Diecastings Evaluated at the 5th China International Diecasting Congress & Exhibition

In order to better promote the development of diecasting industry in our country, to boost the application of new diecasting technology and techniques, to improve the competitive power of the diecasting enterprises in our country, to extend the international markets and to improve qualities of diecastings more quickly, the activity of evaluating high quality diecastings was organized by Foundry Institution of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (FICMES) during the period of the 5th China International Diecasting Congress & Exhibition. The Excellent Diecastings Evaluation Committee was composed of an independent panel of experts in China’s diecasting industry. In accordance with the evaluation rules of impersonality and impartiality, the Evaluation Committee members, at the site of the exhibition, carefully checked each and all evaluation indexes of the diecastings accepted in the activity, deliberately examined the real diecastings, and inquired of the technicians of the companies taking part in the evaluation activity about the production processes, qualities and other information of the diecastings. After discussion again and again, finally, five diecastings were entitled as the excellent diecastings of the 5th China International Diecasting Conference & Exhibition. Design for Kernel Garden,Exhibition Garden for Landscape Architect of the Seventh China Intentional Garden & Flowers Exhibition

With plants as the "kernel",based on the deliberation on the "kernel",by combining with "cultural inheritance and scientific development" as the theme of the exhibition,the paper has illustrated the design idea of Kernel Garden with plants landscaping as the dominance.On the basis of the natural condition,location and terrain of the No.6 exhibition garden,four functional spaces,seven transport nodes and a diagonal composition have been designed by adopting modern landscaping techniques.Through the illustration of seasonal plant landscapes,it has created the artistic conception of "inhaling in spring","enjoying in summer","tasting in autumn" and "listening in winter".Through the creative design of "Kernel Garden",it hopes to arouse the society's concern and pursuit of the future living environment and explore the development direction of landscaping and living environment.

The Exhibition Performance Appraisal Index System Based on Stakeholder Theory

Exhibition performance should be evaluated from different perspectives of stakeholders.The benefits of each stakeholder can not be satisfied when evaluating the exhibition performance from a single perspective or only evaluating the economic performance of the exhibition.In this paper,the stakeholders are defined on the basis of questionnaire investigation and classified by mathematical statistical method.According to the requirements of the stakeholders,the exhibition performance appraisal indicators are extracted and simplified by factor analysis,which leads to the formation of a set of performance appraisal index system.It is an instructive attempt to work out the exhibition performance appraisal model from the perspective of stakeholders,which may provide theoretical foundation and practice instruction for exhibition performance appraisal in our country.
