In addition, we studied the correlation between the rate of change of the α decay penetration probability and angle between the directions of the laser electric field and α particle emission for different nuclei. Based on this correlation, the average effect of extreme laser fields on the half-life of many nuclei with arbitrary α particle emission angles was calculated. The calculations show that the laser suppression and promotion effects on the α decay penetration probability of the nuclei population with completely random α particle-emission directions are not completely canceled. The remainder led to a change in the average penetration probability of the nuclei. Furthermore, the possibility of achieving a higher average rate of change by altering the spatial shape of the laser is explored. We conclude that circularly polarized lasers may be helpful in future experiments to achieve a more significant average rate of change of the α decay half-life of the nuclei population.展开更多

Meanwhile, the underlying mechanism behind discharge breakdown failure and nanofiller enhancement under high-frequency electrical stress remains unclear. An electric-thermal coupled discharge breakdown phase field model was constructed to study the evolution of the breakdown path in polyimide nanocomposite insulation subjected to high-frequency stress. The investigation focused on analyzing the effect of various factors, including frequency, temperature, and nanofiller shape, on the breakdown path of Polyimide(PI) composites. Additionally, it elucidated the enhancement mechanism of nano-modified composite insulation at the mesoscopic scale. The results indicated that with increasing frequency and temperature, the discharge breakdown path demonstrates accelerated development, accompanied by a gradual dominance of Joule heat energy. This enhancement is attributed to the dispersed electric field distribution and the hindering effect of the nanosheets. The research findings offer a theoretical foundation and methodological framework to inform the optimal design and performance management of new insulating materials utilized in high-frequency power equipment.展开更多

The basic principles of Electromagnetic Compatibility focus on the ability of devices to withstand electromagnetic disturbances and not produce disturbances that could affect other systems. Imperceptible in most work situations, electromagnetic fields can, beyond certain thresholds, have effects on human health. The objective of the present article is focused on the modeling analysis of the influence of geometric parameters of industrial static converters radiated electromagnetic fields using Maxwell’s equations. To do this we used the analytical formalism for calculating the electromagnetic field emitted by a filiform conductor, to model the electromagnetic radiation of this device in the spatio-temporal domain. The interactions of electromagnetic waves with human bodies are complex and depend on several factors linked to the characteristics of the incident wave. To model these interactions, we implemented the physical laws of electromagnetic wave propagation based on Maxwell’s and bio-heat equations to obtain consistent results. These obtained models allowed us to evaluate the spatial profile of induced current and temperature of biological tissue during exposure to electromagnetic waves generated by this system. The simulation 2D results obtained from computer tools show that the temperature variation and current induced by the electromagnetic field can have a very significant influence on the life of biological tissue. The paper provides a comprehensive analysis using advanced mathematical models to evaluate the influence of electromagnetic fields. The findings have direct implications for workplace safety, potentially influencing standards and regulations concerning electromagnetic exposure in industrial settings.展开更多

In the proposed method, we included the treatment of the earth-air boundary conductivity, calculated the normalized partial derivative of the induced electromotive force (Emf), and determined the forward time step. By extending upward the earth-air interface to the air grid nodes and the zero-value boundary conditions, not only we have a method that is more efficient but also simpler than the total field solution. We computed and analyzed the homogeneous half-space model and the fiat layered model with high precision--the maximum relative error is less than 0.01% between our method and the analytical method--and the solution speed is roughly three times faster than the total-field solution. Lastly, we used the model of a thin body embedded in a homogeneous half-space at different delay times to depict the downward and upward spreading characteristics of the induced eddy current, and the physical interaction processes between the electromagnetic field and the underground low-resistivity body.展开更多

In this model, the interface region is assumed to be a mixture of different phases with the same chemical potential, but with different compositions. The interface diffusion and boundary diffusion are also considered in the model. As an example, the model is applied to the sintering process with Fe-Cu powders. The free energy of each phase is described by the well-developed thermodynamic models, together with the published optimized parameters. The microstructure and solute distribution during the sintering process can both be obtained quantitively.展开更多

The tone recognition performance is improved using HCRFs by taking advantage of intra-syllable dynamic, inter-syllable dynamic and duration features. When the tone model is integrated into continuous speech recognition, the discriminative model weight training (DMWT) is proposed. Acoustic and tone scores are scaled by model weights discriminatively trained by the minimum phone error (MPE) criterion. Two schemes of weight training are evaluated and a smoothing technique is used to make training robust to overtraining problem. Experiments show that the accuracies of tone recognition and large vocabulary continuous speech recognition (LVCSR) can be improved by the HCRFs based tone model. Compared with the global weight scheme, continuous speech recognition can be improved by the discriminative trained weight combinations.展开更多

[Method] In the research, based on a coherent scattering model (Stile), we proposed a coherent scattering model exclusive for corn, in which, physical optics (PO) and infinite-length dielectric cylinder were used to calculate single-scattering matrices of corn leaves and stalks. In addition, coherent components produced from interaction among the scattering mechanisms were also considered and this coherent model was compared with the Michigan Mi- crowave Canopy Scattering (MIMICS) model. The measured data in a corn filed in Gongzhuling in Jilin Province were used as the input parameters of the coherent and incoherent models. We simulated backscattering coefficients of VV and HH po- larization at L and C bands and made a comparison between the simulation results. [Result] The simulation results at L-band were poor, which indicated that we could not find regularity at early growth stage of vegetation. In addition, comparisons be- tween coherent and incoherent scattering models proved that the coherence triggered by the scattering mechanism was small. [Conclusion] In the research, we analyzed differences between coherent and incoherent scattering models with change of incident angle, and further analysis on the differences with change of vegetation and soil needed to be made in future.展开更多

The research findings offer a theoretical foundation and methodological framework to inform the optimal design and performance management of new insulating materials utilized in high-frequency power equipment.

文摘A high-precision regional gravity field model is significant in various geodesy applications. In the field of modelling regional gravity fields, the spherical radial basis functions(SRBFs)approach has recently gained widespread attention, while the modelling precision is primarily influenced by the base function network. In this study,we propose a method for constructing a data-adaptive network of SRBFs using a modified Hierarchical Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise(HDBSCAN)algorithm, and the performance of the algorithm is verified by the observed gravity data in the Auvergne area.Furthermore, the turning point method is used to optimize the bandwidth of the basis function spectrum, which satisfies the demand for both high-precision gravity field and quasi-geoid modelling simultaneously.Numerical experimental results indicate that our algorithm has an accuracy of about 1.58 mGal in constructing the gravity field model and about 0.03 m in the regional quasi-geoid model.Compared to the existing methods, the number of SRBFs used for modelling has been reduced by 15.8%,and the time cost to determine the centre positions of SRBFs has been saved by 12.5%.Hence,the modified HDBSCAN algorithm presented here is a suitable design method for constructing the SRBF data adaptive network.

文摘The study of Electromagnetic Compatibility is essential to ensure the harmonious operation of electronic equipment in a shared environment. The findings have direct implications for workplace safety, potentially influencing standards and regulations concerning electromagnetic exposure in industrial settings.

文摘An engineering system may consist of several different types of components, belonging to such physical"domains"as mechanical, electrical, fluid, and thermal. It is termed a multi-domain(or multi-physics)system.The present paper concerns the use of linear graphs(LGs)to generate a minimal model for a multi-physics system.A state-space model has to be a minimal realization.Specifically, the number of state variables in the model should be the minimum number that can completely represent the dynamic state of the system. This choice is not straightforward.Initially, state variables are assigned to all the energy-storage elements of the system. However, some of the energy storage elements may not be independent, and then some of the chosen state variables will be redundant. An approach is presented in the paper, with illustrative examples in the mixed fluid-mechanical domains,to illustrate a way to recognize dependent energy storage elements and thereby obtain a minimal state-space model.System analysis in the frequency domain is known to be more convenient than in the time domain, mainly because the relevant operations are algebraic rather than differential. For achieving this objective, the state space model has to be converted into a transfer function. The direct way is to first convert the state-space model into the input-output differential equation, and then substitute the time derivative by the Laplace variable. This approach is shown in the paper. The same result can be obtained through the transfer function linear graph(TF LG)of the system. In a multi-physics system, first the physical domains have to be converted into an equivalent single domain(preferably, the output domain of the system),when using the method of TFLG.This procedure is illustrated as well,in the present paper.

文摘The enhanced definition of Mechatronics involves the four underlying characteristics of integrated, unified, unique, and systematic approaches. In this realm,Mechatronics is not limited to electro-mechanical systems,in the multi-physics sense, but involves other physical domains such as fluid and thermal. This paper summarizes the mechatronic approach to modeling.Linear graphs facilitate the development of state-space models of mechatronic systems, through this approach. The use of linear graphs in mechatronic modeling is outlined and an illustrative example of sound system modeling is given. Both time-domain and frequency-domain approaches are presented for the use of linear graphs.A mechatronic model of a multi-physics system may be simplified by converting all the physical domains into an equivalent single-domain system that is entirely in the output domain of the system. This approach of converting(transforming)physical domains is presented. An illustrative example of a pressure-controlled hydraulic actuator system that operates a mechanical load is given.

文摘To effectively minimize the electromagnetic field response in the total field solution, we propose a numerical modeling method for the two-dimensional (2D) time- domain transient electromagnetic secondary field of the line source based on the DuFort- Frankel finite-difference method. Lastly, we used the model of a thin body embedded in a homogeneous half-space at different delay times to depict the downward and upward spreading characteristics of the induced eddy current, and the physical interaction processes between the electromagnetic field and the underground low-resistivity body.

文摘A thermodynamic consistent phase field model is developed to describe the sintering process with multiphase powders. The microstructure and solute distribution during the sintering process can both be obtained quantitively.
文摘The use of hidden conditional random fields (HCRFs) for tone modeling is explored. Compared with the global weight scheme, continuous speech recognition can be improved by the discriminative trained weight combinations.

文摘[Objective] The aim was to compare and analyze microwave coherent and incoherent scattering models in a corn field. [Conclusion] In the research, we analyzed differences between coherent and incoherent scattering models with change of incident angle, and further analysis on the differences with change of vegetation and soil needed to be made in future.
