Inpatients in the intensive care unit（ICU） are at high risk for healthcare-associated infections（HAIs）. In the current study, a bundle of interventions and measures for preventing and controlling HAIs were develop...Inpatients in the intensive care unit（ICU） are at high risk for healthcare-associated infections（HAIs）. In the current study, a bundle of interventions and measures for preventing and controlling HAIs were developed and implemented in the ICU by trained personnel, and the impact of the bundle was evaluated. The incidence of HAIs, the adjusted daily incidence of HAIs and the incidence of three types of catheter-related infections before and after the bundle implementation were compared. The execution rate of the bundle for preventing and controlling ventilator-associated pneumonia（VAP） was increased from 82.06% in 2012 to 96.88% in 2013. The execution rate was increased from 83.03% in 2012 to 91.33% in 2013 for central line-associated bloodstream infection（CLABSI）, from 87.00% to 94.40% for catheter-associated urinary tract infection（CAUTI）, and from 82.05% to 98.55% for multidrug-resistant organisms（MDROs）, respectively. In total, 136 cases（10.37%） in 2012 and 113 cases（7.72%） in 2013 involved HAIs, respectively. Patients suffered from infection of the lower respiratory tract, the most common site of HAIs, in 134 cases（79.29%） in 2012 and 107 cases（74.30%） in 2013 respectively. The incidence of VAP was 32.72‰ and 24.60‰, the number of strains of pathogens isolated was 198 and 173, and the number of MDROs detected in the ICU was 91 and 74 in 2012 and 2013, respectively. The percentage of MDROs among the pathogens causing HAIs was decreased in each quarter of 2013 as compared with the corresponding percentage in 2012. In 2013, the execution rate of the bundle for preventing and controlling HAIs was increased, whereas the incidence of HAIs and VAP decreased as compared with that in 2012.展开更多

To investigate the coercivity,corrosion resistance,and thermal stability of Nd-Fe-B magnets,their properties were investigated at room and high temperature before and after doping with Dy（80）Ga（20）（at.%） powder....To investigate the coercivity,corrosion resistance,and thermal stability of Nd-Fe-B magnets,their properties were investigated at room and high temperature before and after doping with Dy（80）Ga（20）（at.%） powder.The coercivity of the magnets increased from the undoped value of 12.72 kOe to a doped value of 21.44 kOe.A micro-structural analysis indicates that a well-developed core-shell structure forms in the magnets doped with Dy（80）Ga（20） powder.The improvement in magnetic properties is believed to be related to the refined and uniform matrix grains,continuous grain boundaries,and a hardened（Nd,Dy）2Fe（14）B shell surrounding the matrix grains.Additionally,the doped magnets exhibit an obvious improvement in thermal stability.For the magnets with added Dy（80）Ga（20） powder,the temperature coefficients of remanence（α） and coercivity（β） increased to-0.106%℃-（-1） and-0.60%℃-（-1） over the range 20-100 ℃,compared to temperature coefficients of-0.117%℃-（-1）（α） and-0.74%℃-（-1）（β） in the regular magnets without Dy（80）Ga（20） powder.The irreversible loss of magnetic flux（Hirr） was investigated at different temperatures.After being exposed to 150 ℃ for 2 h,the Hirr of magnets with 4 wt.%Dy（80）Ga（20） decreased by -95%compared to that of the undoped magnets.The enhanced temperature coefficients and Hirr indicate improved thermal stability in the doped Nd-Fe-B magnets.The intergranular addition of Dy（80）Ga（20） also improved the corrosion resistance of the magnets because of the enhanced intergranular phase.In a corrosive atmosphere for 96 h,the mass loss of the sintered magnets with 4 wt.%Dy（80）Ga（20） was 2.68 mg/cm-2,less than 10%of that suffered by the undoped magnets（28.1 mg/cm-2）.展开更多
A building retrofitted with wing walls in the bottom story, which was damaged during the 2008 M8.0 Wenchuan earthquake in China, is introduced and a corresponding 1/4 scale wing wall-frame model was subjected to shake...A building retrofitted with wing walls in the bottom story, which was damaged during the 2008 M8.0 Wenchuan earthquake in China, is introduced and a corresponding 1/4 scale wing wall-frame model was subjected to shake table motions to study the seismic behavior of this retrofitted structural system. The results show that wing walls can effectively protect columns from damage by moving areas that bear reciprocating tension and compression to the sections of the wing walls, thus achieving an extra measure of seismic fortification. A ‘strong column-weak beam＇ mechanism was realized, the flexural rigidity of the vertical member was strengthened, and a more uniform distribution of deformation among all the stories was measured. In addition, the joint between the wing walls and the beams suffered severe damage during the tests, due to an area of local stress concentration. A longer area of intensive stirrup is suggested in the end of the beams.展开更多

The d...Objective To improve curative effects in treatment of hilar bile duct strictures. Methods The clinical data of 76 patients with hilar bile duct strictures treated in our hospital from 1990 to 2000 were analyzed. The diagnosis was determined by cholangitis of 3 chief signs: increase in ALP and 7-GGT, intra-and extra hepatic bile duct dilatation showed by BUS and CT and confirmation by PTC and/or ERCP. The site of strictures was classified according to Bismuth standard. Results Amongst the 76 patients, 60. 5% suffered from injurious strictures, including Bismuth Ⅰ in 13%, Bismuth Ⅱ in 39%, Bismuth Ⅲ in 19. 4% and Bismuth Ⅳ in 28. 2%. Inflammatory strictures were found in 28 patients, including LHD in 13(46.4%) ,RHD in 10(35.7%) and CHD in 5 (17. 9 % ). The percentages of patients with strictures due to Mirizzy syndrome, choledo-cyst and sclerosing cholangitis were 9. 2 % , 3. 9 % and 2.6%, respectively.
