Besides, the shape deformations of PU and PF foams were observed, and their oxygen index and the calorific value in combustion were also studied. The results showed that the pyrolysis of both PU and PF can be divided into three stages from room temperature to 1 000 ℃ in the atmospheric air, with total mass loss of 94.345% for PF and 88.191% for PU, respectively. The oxygen index of PU and PF decreased with increasing the temperature and the duration of the heat treatment. With the temperature increasing, the calorific values of both materials were reduced remarkably. These results of the PU and PF could provide basic data of the thermal stability and fire safety design in the application of thermosetting insulation materials.展开更多
Combustion kinetic parameters(i.e.,activation energy and frequency factor) of coal have been proven to relate closely to coal properties;however,the quantitative relationship between them still requires further study....Combustion kinetic parameters(i.e.,activation energy and frequency factor) of coal have been proven to relate closely to coal properties;however,the quantitative relationship between them still requires further study.This paper adopts a support vector regression machine(SVR) to generate the models of the non-linear relationship between combustion kinetic parameters and coal quality.Kinetic analyses on the thermo-gravimetry(TG) data of 80 coal samples were performed to prepare training data and testing data for the SVR.The models developed were used in the estimation of the combustion kinetic parameters of ten testing samples.The predicted results showed that the root mean square errors(RMSEs) were 2.571 for the activation energy and 0.565 for the frequency factor in logarithmic form,respectively.TG curves defined by predicted kinetic parameters were fitted to the experimental data with a high degree of precision.展开更多
bamboo(Phyllostachys edulis) residue was subjected to steam explosion treatment to produce superior fibers for binderless boards.Then,lignin was isolated from extract-free bamboo meal,steam exploded pulp,and binderles...bamboo(Phyllostachys edulis) residue was subjected to steam explosion treatment to produce superior fibers for binderless boards.Then,lignin was isolated from extract-free bamboo meal,steam exploded pulp,and binderless boards with characteristics being determined by thermo-gravimetry (TG),differential scanning calorimetry (DSC),and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR).Results showed that:1) the yield of lignin directly extracted with dioxane-water from steam exploded bamboo pulp(SEBPL) and binderless board (SEBBL) was higher than that of milled bamboo lignin (MBL).Also,the yield of SEBBL was lower than that of SEBPL.2) FTIR results showed cleavage of ester and ether bonds between lignin and p-coumaric acid during steam explosion treatment.3) SEBBL showed two glass transitions at 115℃and 200℃, while MBL gave one glass transitions at 155℃.And 4) the modulus of rupture(MOR) and modulus of elasticity(MOE) decreased with an increase in steaming time;whereas internal bonding(IB) increased.In all cases the dimensional stability of boards did not exceed the maximum requirements for type GB/T 11718- 1999.展开更多
