A comparative study in cranial and facial character shows that the Shihezi group resembles early Saka and Wusun group in Tianshan Mountain area,Saka and Wusun group in Alai area,Zhaosu group and Alagou Ⅲ group, all of which belong to Central Asia-Tigirs-Euphrates River typology, characterized by brachycrany. Considering the archaeological character of Nanshan stone cemetery and historical documents,it is reasonably supposed that the skeletons in Nanshan cemetery,Shihezi city, have close relation with ancient Wusun,Jushi in eastern and northern part of Xinjiang area.展开更多
