Real-life data introduce noise,uncertainty,and imprecision to statistical projects;it is advantageous to consider strategies to overcome these information expressions and processing problems.Neutrosophic(indeterminate)numbers can flexibly and conveniently represent the hybrid information of the partial determinacy and partial indeterminacy in an indeterminate setting,while a fuzzy multiset is a vital mathematical tool in the expression and processing of multi-valued fuzzy information with different and/or same fuzzy values.If neutrosophic numbers are introduced into fuzzy sequences in a fuzzy multiset,the introduced neutrosophic number sequences can be constructed as the neutrosophic number multiset or indeterminate fuzzy multiset.Motivated based on the idea,this study first proposes an indeterminate fuzzy multiset,where each element in a universe set can be repeated more than once with the different and/or identical indeterminate membership values.Then,we propose the parameterized correlation coefficients of indeterminate fuzzy multisets based on the de-neutrosophication of transforming indeterminate fuzzy multisets into the parameterized fuzzy multisets by a parameter(the parameterized de-neutrosophication method).Since indeterminate decision-making issues need to be handled by an indeterminate decision-making method,a group decision-making method using the weighted parameterized correlation coefficients of indeterminate fuzzy multisets is developed along with decision makers’different decision risks(small,moderate,and large risks)so as to handle multicriteria group decision-making problems in indeterminate fuzzy multiset setting.Finally,the developed group decision-making approach is used in an example on a selection problem of slope design schemes for an open-pit mine to demonstrate its usability and flexibility in the indeterminate group decision-making problem with indeterminate fuzzy multisets. 展开更多

The operation of a shield tunnel boring machine(TBM)in a high-strength hard rock stratum results in significant cutter damage,adversely affecting the thrust and torque of the cutter head.Therefore,it is very important to carry out the research on the stress characteristics and optimize the cutter parameters of cutters break high-strength hard rock.In this paper,the rock-breaking performance of cutters in an andesite stratum in the tunnel of Qingdao Metro Line No.8 was investigated using the discrete element method and theoretical analysis.The rock-breaking processes of a disc cutter and wedge tooth cutter were simulated by software particle flow code PFC^(3D),and the rock-breaking degree,stress of the cutter,and rock-breaking specific energy were analyzed.The rock damage caused by the cutter in a specific section was divided into three stages:the advanced influence,crushing,and stabilizing stages.The rock-breaking degree and the tangential and normal forces of the wedge tooth cutter are larger than that of the disc cutter under the same conditions.The disc cutter(wedge tooth cutter)has the highest rock-breaking efficiency at a cutter spacing of 100 mm(110 mm)and a penetration depth of 8 mm(10 mm),and the rock-breaking specific energy is 11.48 MJ/m^(3)(12.05 MJ/m^(3)).Therefore,two types of cutters with different penetration depths or cutter spacing should be considered.The number of teeth of wedge tooth cutters can be increased in hard strata to improve the rock-breaking efficiency of the shield.The research results provide a reference for shield cutterhead selection and cutter layout in similar projects. 展开更多

The shallow tunnelling method(STM)often uses temporary supports to divide large section tunnels into several closed or semiclosed sections so as to share the upper load.The complex support system composed of primary and temporary supports can ensure safety during tunnel construction.Based on the large section tunnel of Beijing Subway Line 12,the mechanical characteristics of support system by the double-side-drift method(DSDM)during excavation and demolition were analyzed through numerical simulation and monitoring.The study showed that the middle cave excavation was the most critical stage of the DSDM,during which the load on the supporting structure increased significantly.The temporary vertical support bore most of the new load during middle cave excavation.During the demolition stage,the load was redistributed,which caused arch settlement and section convergence.The removal of the temporary vertical support exerted the greatest impact in this process.The lateral temporary inverted arch changed from axial compression to axial tension after the middle and lower caves were excavated.Based on the mechanical characteristics of the support system,some engineering suggestions were proposed for large section tunnel construction.These research results can provide reference for the design and construction of similar large section tunnels. 展开更多

The evolution due to temperature and pressure of shale reservoir permeability affects the productivity evaluation and development decision of shale gas reservoirs,which is very important for the exploration and development of unconventional gas reservoirs.This study analyzed the coupling effects of temperature(25,50,and 75°C),effective stress(15 and 30 MPa),and pore pressure(0.5,2.0,4.0,and 8.0 MPa)on the permeability of the shale sample in the Longmaxi Formation.As the temperature and pressure increased,the apparent permeability exhibited a downward trend,and the absolute permeability decreased with the rise of temperature or effective stress.An in‐depth analysis of the gas slippage factors under the conditions of different temperature and pressure was conducted to evaluate the trend of the average pore width with temperature and pressure.The results were then verified by scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The results provide new insights into evaluating the permeability of the Longmaxi shale and can be used to enhance the gas recovery rate of deep shale gas reservoirs. 展开更多

During shield tunneling in highly abrasive formations such as sand–pebble strata,nonuniform wear of shield cutters is inevitable due to the different cutting distances.Frequent downtimes and cutter replacements have become major obstacles to long-distance shield driving in sand–pebble strata.Based on the cutter wear characteristics in sand–pebble strata in Beijing,a design methodology for the cutterhead and cutters was established in this study to achieve uniform wear of all cutters by the principle of frictional wear.The applicability of the design method was verified through three-dimensional simulations using the engineering discrete element method.The results show that uniform wear of all cutters on the cutterhead could be achieved by installing different numbers of cutters on each trajectory radius and designing a curved spoke with a certain arch height according to the shield diameter.Under the uniform wear scheme,the cutter wear coefficient is greatly reduced,and the largest shield driving distance is increased by approximately 47%over the engineering scheme.The research results indicate that the problem of nonuniform cutter wear in shield excavation could be overcome,thereby providing guiding significance for theoretical innovation and construction of long-distance shield excavation in highly abrasive strata. 展开更多

The dielectric performance of alkali activated slag (AAS) cement paste was investigated in the frequency range of 1 to 1000 MHz. The experimental results showed the unstable dielectric properties of harden paste were mostly influenced by the fraction of free water in paste or absorbed water from ambient, but not including hydration water and microstructure. The free water was completely eliminated by heat treatment at 105 ℃ about 4 hours, and then its dielectric loss was depressed; but with the exposure time in air increasing, the free water adsorption in ambient air made the dielectric property of harden cement paste to be bad. The temperature and relative humidity of environment was the key factors of free water adsorption; hence, if the influence of free water on dielectric constant was measured or eliminated, the cement-based materials may be applied in humidity sensitive materials or dielectric materials domains. 展开更多

Tool wear is a noteworthy problem in the process of shield tunneling,and the degree of wear varies with stratum.The sand-pebble strata in Beijing are typically mechanically unstable.However,many subways are buried wholly or partially in sand-pebble strata.Taking the Beijing New Airport line tunneling project as research background,this study evaluated the wear characteristics of the multiconfiguration rippers of a 9-m-diameter spoke-type shield tunneling machine in a sand-pebble stratum.The wear values of five ripper teeth and ripper flanks were analyzed based on field-measured data from the Beijing New Airport line project.As the analytical results show,the wear value generally increases as the installation radius enlarges with the rise of cutting trace length.The wear of the 190-rippers was divided into five categories:pedestal wear,ripper teeth collapse,uniform wear,ripper teeth falling off and ripper flank wear.Uniform wear of the ripper teeth and ripper flank wear were the two abrasion types of the 190-rippers.The teeth of the 155-rippers mostly maintained their cutting capacity under the protection of the 190-rippers.A wear prediction model of linear fitting field data was developed for a 190-ripper face to obtain the optimum shield driving distance in the sand-pebble stratum.The average wear coefficients of the 190-ripper before and after replacement matched well,being 0.045 and 0.066 mm/km,respectively.The results of this study provide a theoretical reference for tool wear prediction in shield construction under similar geological conditions. 展开更多

Based on previous research results, this paper investigated the influence of fracture morphology on mechanical properties and failure modes of rock mass with two diagonal intersected fractures. This study carried out a series of triaxial compression tests on rock-like specimens with two crossed fractures under negative temperature, concluded the following conclusions. The strength and failure modes of rock mass are significantly influenced by the dips of two crossed fractures. The strength of rock mass with two frac- tures cannot simply be estimated using the method that was developed for the rock mass with a single fracture. When the intersecting angle is less than 30~, the failure plane initiates at the tip of "artificial rup- tures" and extends to the upper and lower ends of the specimen. In case of a higher dip and intersecting angle ranging from 30° to 60°, the failure plane propagates along one of these two fractures. The mechan- lca! parameters of rock mass are not only related to the trace length, but also depend on the trace !ength ratio. One could roughly calculate the strength parameters using the approximation proposed in.this paper..For the rock mass with a trace length ratio 〈0.3 (short trace length/long trace length), the failure mode is dependent on the fracture with a longer trace length. When the trace length becomes significant and the trace length ratio approximates to 1, the failure plane propagates along two fractures, where an X-shaped.failure pattern is presented: For the rock mass with moderate frac!ures and a trace length ratio of approxlmately 1, the failure mode Is.Independent on fractures, which is simllar to .the damage pattern of intact rock. The strength, and elastic .modulus of rock mass decrease with the increase of spacing between fractures, whl!e Polsson's ratio is Independent on the spacing. The failure mode can be deter- mined by the area. of triangle created by two fractures. Damage occurs at the smaller triangle area first, and propagates with the two sides of the larger triangle. 展开更多

The basic conception and theoretical system of smart metro are not clear and there is not a unified understanding at the academic level.Based on this fact,there is no guidance of the smart metro construction.Therefore,this paper conducts a complete and systemic research on several basic theoretical issues of smart metro,such as the development history,concept,connotation,characteristics,evolution stages,system architecture and main construction content.Firstly,the internal and external development demands are analyzed in this paper.In addition,the subject-cycle-function(SCF)model of smart metro concept is obtained.Moreover,the essential connotation,three typical characteristics and the evolution process of smart metro are introduced.Furthermore,the evolution relationships of main function,achievement goal,instrument subject,decision subject,control subject and factor relationship for every evolution stage are clarified.Finally,according to the theory of system engineering,the three-hierarchy system architecture and five main construction contents are proposed.The both can be used to construct the technical system of smart metro at the academic level,and provide theoretical support and technical guidance for promoting the development of smart metro construction in China. 展开更多

The target on the sea surface is complex and difficult to detect due to the interference of backscattered returns from the sea surface illuminated by the radar pulse. Detrended fluctuation analysis (DFA) has been used successfully to extract the time-domain Hurst exponent of sea-clutter series. Since the frequency of the sea clutter mainly concentrates around Doppler center so that we consider to extract frequency-do- main fractal characterization and then detect a weak target within sea clutter by using the difference of frequency-domain fractal characterization. The generalized detrended fluctuation analysis (GDFA) is more flexible than traditional DFA owing to its smoothing action for the clutters. In this paper, we apply the GDFA to evaluate the generalized Hurst exponent of sea-clutter series in the frequency domain. The difference of generalized Hurst exponents between different sea-clutter range bins would be used to determine whether the target exists. Moreover, some simulations with the real IPIX radar data have also been demonstrated in order to suooort this conclusion. 展开更多

As the basic work of image stitching and object recognition,image registration played an important part in the image processing field.Much previous work in registration accuracy and realtime performance progressed very slowly,especially in registrating images with line feature.An innovative method for image registration based on lines is proposed,it can effectively improve the accuracy and real-time performance of image registration.The line feature can deal with some registration problems where point feature does not work.Our registration process is divided into two parts.The first part determines the rough registration transformation relation between reference image and test image.Then the similarity degree among different transformation and modified nonmaximum suppression(MNMS)algorithms are obtained,which produce local optimal solution to optimize the rough registration transformation.The final optimal registration relation can be obtained from two registration parts according to the match scores.The experimental results show that the proposed method makes a more accurate registration relation and performs better in real-time situation. 展开更多

The unified displacement function(UDF)is presented to describe the deformation behaviours of the tunnel profile along with time under the surface slope condition.Based on the discrete Fourier method,the third-order UDF in the physical plane is expanded to the Laurent series in the complex variable plane.The complex variable method is employed to derive the elastic analytical solution of stra-tum displacement,when the third-order UDF is taken as the displacement boundary condition of tunnel cross-section(DBCTC).The proposed elastic solution agrees well with the results of the finite element method for the consistent model,which verifies the correctness of the proposed analytical solution.Combining the corresponding principle and fractional Generalized Kelvin viscoelastic constitutive model,the fractional viscoelastic solution under the surface slope condition is determined.The time effect of stratum displacement is presented in two aspects:time-dependent DBCTC and time-dependent material parameters.The parameter analysis is performed to investigate influences of deformation modes of the third-order UDF,slope angle,tunnel radius and fractional order on the time effect of stratum vertical and horizontal displacement. 展开更多
